That subtle detail of all the dropped dinner knives that fell through the grating to the crawlspace below in the Raven Rock cafeteria. This world feels so lived in. :)
Lol....your reaction at the beginning. I was waiting for that. Also when you saw Fawkes again....ha. Roy Phillips, had you said you may can help him get in Tenpenny, you could have worked out a peaceful negotiation. Crowley mentioned Ft Constantine. You explored it but you didn't have the keys. It's pretty cool what you find. It also ties into another side quest you haven't started for another good weapon. Hopefully you're still able to help Riley.
Yeah I heard about the peaceful end afterwards.. but I felt killing either of them is not what I should be doing. Staying out of it seemed right to me.
You got to witness the power of Liberty Prime. I think he's probably a big (no pun intended) reason why some people choose the Brotherhood on their second playthrough of Fallout 4.
@@LIZZgame I was being vague on purpose. I will say that you were told by chat there was no peaceful way for you to resolve the Roy / Tenpenny quest. That is not correct. Though my comment isn't exclusive to that quest. Sometimes the game spells out all the options when you take a quest, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes things aren't what they seem at first glance.
@@LIZZgame I'll give you an example from the very beginning of the game. In Megaton, the quest Burke offers you is to blow up the bomb. Even if you agree to do it, there are still 3 ways I know of to resolve that quest without blowing up the bomb.
@@ErrorMessageNotFound But then I have to give him my word that I'll do it his way, and I don't wnat to do that, even though I don't have to follow through with it, I know. But I roleplay games like these. I wouldn't agree to something and then just not do it.
To be continued! Cheers, loving the playthrough, plus I'm finally seeing how the story goes. Mine bugged out around the time dad got microwaved. Don't think they ever fixed that PS3 bug.
I REALLY, REALLY find this stupid that they consider you a coward for not stepping inside the purifier while you can solve it without anyone dying. Urgh....
I was really expecting to see the negotiation to get the ghouls into tenpenny tower. Sad that you left instead of starting the peaceful solution to that quest line.
I still don't understand HOW to achieve the peaceful way. Tenpenny wants to kill the Ghouls. The Ghouls want to kill the people in the tower. I didn't see an option to make them make peace. Maybe kill both leaders? I dunno.
@@LIZZgame it's a bit of work back and forth to convince each of them to live together. One of the options when speaking to the ghoul starts it, then you convince enough people at the tower to petition tenpenny to let the ghouls in. Whether it's truely peaceful is debatable as they mingle for a while but if you keep checking back things change (avoiding spoilers)
Fun fact, the Enclave base, Raven Rock, is a real facility. It was originally built during the Cold War as a sort of backup Pentagon/ continuity of government site (though the actual Raven Rock facility is located further north in Pennsylvania, not Maryland). To my knowledge, the only time the Raven Rock facility was fully activated was during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, when the vice president and other members of the American government were moved there.
Im currently playing new vegas, and watching your playthroug i realised i didnt remember how different playing experience 3 and new vegas had. I guess youre going to play dlcs of 3 first but cant wait you start new vegas, i like its weapon system more. But good that you played 3 first, its a better introduction for the game mechanics, new vegas kinda throws it to your face all at once. Oh and remember you can shoot guns off enemies hands, and if youre close and fast enough you can pick them before they do leaving them unarmed
That "Level 30" cap. If I dont recall wrong that was until some update or DLC came. And than was taken away or raised. But I played it on PS3 back in the days.
@@LIZZgame Oh, did some research and found out: "If you have the original fallout 3, the maximum level is 20. With the Broken Steel dlc installed the level cap is bumped up to 30". Guess War never changes but memories might? 😁
Have you played the Brotherhood quest line in Fallout 4? Cause I love but also hate that the final quest is pretty much exactly how it went here in 3 with the player escorting Liberty Prime while he reeks havoc because its so cool but like unoriginal at the same time
I have never played the BOS quest to the end, no! Most of the factions are too extreme for me BUT I'd love to do a run as a BOS Knight with Power Armor and focus on Main Quest and Faction quests only.
Hey Lizz! You can peacefully remedy the situation with the gouls and Tenpenny. If you talk to Roy about a way to help them, you can then go to Tenpenny and he will ask you to convince the residents to let them in.
im sure you know this now, but yeah you were supposed to sacrifice yourself at the end, and when the dlc began it was sort of like a cool resurrection story. The first time I made Fawks turn the machine on and the end audio shamed me for it I felt terrible lol
DLCs first! And then I'll play Hellblade 2, after that Elden Ring.. then we can play New Vegas, as far as there are no other games coming out I am not aware of atm haha. But NV is DEFINITELY on my list for this year!
>"I was looking for a bit of a challenge here" Have you thought about, uh.... raising the game difficulty from 'Easy' and 'Normal' ( AKA Casual difficulty )?
@@LIZZgame Gotta crank it up to Very Hard! Bethesda games are notorious ( among dedicated ARPG/FPS/MOBA players ) for enabling players to become easily over-powered, particularly in endgame, on account of being very sandbox and non-combat oriented. Environments and NPC's are moreso geared for lore/immersion than any real combat experience. So when you're fighting a human in a jacket while wearing Hellfire Power Armor and the best weapons, well. Not that any of the other enemies pose a real threat most of the time either, so 'Very Hard' is basically the bare minimum for even a slight challenge in any Bethesda game pretty much.
Poisoning all the mutants isn't the worst idea ever. It could be better for the Capitol Wasteland in the long run. It has some interesting effects, if you ever try it in another playthrough.
The end is never the end is never the end.. LUL. Just play it again as evil doer. Switches thinks up a lot and new ways for many of the quests to go 👹👿💀Go go one more playthrough 🤗Maybe also with a different focus like being a silent assassin or demolitionist ^^ Or just big gunner!

*"Democracy is non-negotiable!"*

Lizz, Dogmeat, and Fawkes are such a power trio. I love how you both just stood by and admiringly watched Dogmeat own that Reaver.
Dogmeat can die in Fallout 3 as far as I remember

There’s one more vault that you can go into now. Pay close attention to your radio around Megaton.
ohhh interesting! Is it only accessable after the Main Quest?
@@LIZZgame after dad is gone you can walk around Megaton and hear the radio broadcast .

I agree

hehe, 1-2 videos a day on this channel!
You have to accept a quest before you can decide how you want to resolve it. Many quests in this game have multiple ways to resolve them.
May I ask what you are referring to here?

I'm shocked that your chat wasn't being incessant about getting you to go to Vault 101 when it briefly opened up for a quest.
"You Gotta Shoot 'Em In The Head" is a fun quest to do. Gotta love Dukov!
