I really like the content you're putting out. Wouldn't mind seeing more action. Also, i find the music to be a bit loud and distracting when trying to pay attention to what you're saying. Thanks man. Tight lines.

    Captain Caleb,
Get well soon Rick!!! and Get well Mom!!!
It is the Rookie again. You mentioned finding the right time and part of the day to go out and catch fish. Wednesday, I did take off from work to fish. For me, it was one of those days. It was in the 60's, over-cast, and right before a front system coming in. This made for a great day of fishing. I went out to a front of an estuary to catch the latter part of an incoming tide. The water was deep and the temperature was mid to high sixties. With all these conditions, being what they are, we had a great day on the water. We caught 20 plus redfish and kept 2 that were 23" each. It was awesome to find the fish, select the proper lure, and catch a ton of fish. During this trip, I took notes to compare future trips too. During this time, there were several signals that verified ideal conditions. These are the conditions you mention in this video.
Thank you for what you do and the information you provide. There are many people on the water that can provide impressive videos of catching fish, but there are few out there that can explain why and provide the technicals to consistently catch fish. My son and I had one of the best days on our boat.
Thank you for all that you do. I look forward to meeting you someday.
    Robert Arias
PS. Take care of your dad. I lost mine in February 1, 1999. He loved to fish but was the worst fisherman ever. I remember the bank fishing trips he would take me and my cousins on. Lots of great memories. My uncle, his brother, was also very close to me. He moved from New Orleans back to Palacios, TX to fish for the rest of his life. That did not go to well. He bought all kinds of lures and tackle and never was able to use it. His tackle box is on my boat and it is an old cruddy looking tackle box, but I cannot part with it, so it stays on my boat as my main tackle box. When it falls apart, I will take it off and hang it in my shop. I am related to fishing royalty in Matagorda. Jesse, "Moon Dog", Arsola was my cousin. I never had the opportunity to fish with him, but I heard a lot of great stories. I am determined to become a good angler. You videos are supporting me in my quest. Keep doing what you are doing, but take care of your dad. Take Care. Hope to meet you soon.

The best trout fishing I've ever had was during this time... I found they tended to stack up together and when you run up on a school, it's ever single cast... right off of a main channel into a bay, picking off bait as it gets sucked out from a falling tide... and I know you're talking texas, while I'm talking Louisiana

I'm up in NC. How would you fish the creeks up here in winter. I know the best baits and and techniques, but being a bank bound angler for now, any tips would be great. This is my first fall/winter trout fishing. Usually fish em spring and summer and do real well. Have had excellent days the last 2 weeks but have had too many days that are skunks.

    • @CaptCalebTV

Cap, from south Louisiana. Just moved to corpus. Do you ever downsize soft plastic like to 3” or less.. many times in winter we would do this to catch more trout, obviously not chasing big trout there..
So more specifically, do you ever downsize soft plastic in targeting big trout??

    • @CaptCalebTV

The winds weren’t any more than 15 from the northwest and water temp was between 48 to 53 degrees depending where I fished. There was no bait to be found and I got the big skunk. Where in the heck does the bait and trout go? What do you do to better your odds? Thanks in advance
