It really depends on what time of year you're fishing to

One of the best videos I’ve seen on TH-cam on understanding why you’re getting skunked sometimes. So much info goes into catching rather than just fishing!

Bathtub/toy reference is about as layman as it gets but extremely true. Fish the back guts in marsh when 'toys' are pushed that way and points from these guts when the plug is pulled. Good information.

Good info brother, I love 5-10 SE winds on a strong 2 tide day. I'll be set up on surfside or bolivar on the incoming soaking baits waiting on a big shark to make my drag scream! I get out there and wade the guts while I'm waiting and catch bait and hopefully some good keeper trout and reds. I love beach fishing!

Great video! When I fish the coast it's down around Corpus, but this same info can be applied there.

A&J Outdoors Nice! I haven’t fished much in corpus but good to know some of the weather conditions are the same.

Sir ! Do you fish Anahuac. Just curious since they closed rollover pass , has salinity changed is water claerer. Me and my pops would wade fish Anahuac refuge (Yes we're the alligators are, lol). Thank you sir ! The way explain things even I can understand.

I don’t fish that area often. I used to fish rollover occasionally though.

So it seems like incoming tides AND south east winds are the best for Galveston, since the winds will reinforce the tides, or vice versa. Same should be true for the opposite (outgoing tides and north west winds), since the fish will be going in the opposite direction. I read in an online article Galveston tides, or the Gulf Coast tides in general are not worth paying attention since they are low (1-2 ft, as opposed to 6-8 ft elsewhere I don't remember) and are easily outweighed by the wind. So the combination might make a bigger difference.

Mehmet Dogan southeast winds are ideal because it pushes clear water into the bay which helps visibility.

Yes sir! It always a good time to go fishing, but those South East winds make it even better.

I rarely use scents on lures but I do like the grape oil.
