Delicious Old Fashioned Homemade Chocolate Cake Recipe | Best Cake Ever!!!

My 84 year old mother and I are demonstrating how to bake a delicious chocolate cake from scratch. If you want to bake a cake like mom or grandma made then watch this video. Recipe for cake
3 cups granulated sugar
3 cups cake flour
3 sticks butter (softened)
7 jumbo eggs or 8 large eggs
8 oz cream cheese
1 1/2 tsp vanilla flavoring
1tblsp Superior Vanilla Nut flavoring see link below. Or if you prefer, you can use lemon extract
Recipe for chocolate icing
1 cup of Hersheys Cocoa
2-3 cups confectioners sugar
1tsp Vanilla extract
1 stick melted butter

Many of us recall our Mothers, preparing cakes just as your Mother did in the video (no measurements) as my Mother said “eyeball it” they just knew how much and what it should look like . Will definitely follow her recipe, many Thanks to you both.

Ohhh this cake looks so good!! My mom used to bake cakes like this amd I remember one year she said Im going to try something different. She mixed her batter all up and then she folded in Black Walnuts. Omgosh... it was so delicious!! Those walnuts have a distinct flavor and she made this old fashioned fudge icing that didnt use the powdered sugar. Ive had many delicious cakes in my life (Love Homemade Cakes) but that was the best Ive ever had. Think Ill bake one for the holidays ❤ I enjoyed the video 😊

I'm a home cook and baker too. 😋 Last week, I made homemade apple 🍎 fritters. They were made with yeast as opposed to just plain flour. The hardest part was waiting for my fritters to rise w/ apples 🍎
