You should do a video on lake simcoe if you haven't already for lakers, whities and jumbos, I live 30 minutes away, it's an amazing fishery year round, huge smallies in summer too.

+James Holst What rod did you use btw? I have a habit if breaking ice fishing rods and I really need one that will hold up. I was using the snitch rod and it broke after an hour from the cold after the first fish. I keep the rods in like a mini fly rod case to try to make them last longer but it just doesn't work. Perch and pickerel are what I catch mostly.
+Angler Outdoors 32" Bullwhip. I haven't broken an ice rod in 8 years since I started keeping them in a quality hard side case.

Yes. Same rod.
Thank you James. Can you give me your opinion on what each bullwhip rod length would be best suited for?
+Joel Kreller honestly length is based more any personal preference than anything. Guys that rarely spend time inside a shelter often opt for a longer rod. Guys that typically fish inside a shelter go with a shorter rod due to limited space. I like the 32" because it is a nice compromise.
