    Cool tests! I'm glad I decided to go with the emax eco2's for my latest 7in. I heard a lot of people saying how good they were and apparently they were right. I went with the xing 2806.5s in my last build and they work really well too.

      I choose Emax eco 2 2807 1500kv motors for my 7in ripper and i love them.

      I used them on my recent 7” build and they’ve been okay. Had one have a nasty 1/3 throttle vibration after my 3rd pack. Using 21700 6s1p li-ion packs that I built so each flight were way more than a few min like a lipo would give but motors were cool. Started getting bad jello in the walksnail fpv feed. Spinning the motors individually in betaflight showed one vibrate the quad all over the table. Swapped it out and have put 50+ packs on it since with 0 issues. For the cost of those motors, they can’t be beat. I now order 5 motors though when building quads. Just in case I get a shaker.

    I love running something bigger like 2810 on my AOS 7 for mid range mountain ripping in Colorado. With a 3300 mah 6s Lipo.

    Legend thank you Chris! I was asking about the Emax since I recently swapped to them. Appreciate the amount of testing you do, it helps everyone who wants to make the most informed decision. People like you are helping the hobby in the best way possible!

    Love to see u test 2807, 2808, 3008 on 7.5" and 8" props. Around 1100kV. Curious if bigger ends up being more efficient.

    Fun thing - I bought a custom built Chimera 7 that fly like a dream. Guess what? It has the Xnova fs motors. 😄
    No wobbles, good flight times when used for long range. Not really sure what to expect from the better performing motors.

  • @Nicholas_Kage
    @Nicholas_Kage 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I would love for xnova to get a second shot at this. I have been considering trying out some of them. Also, Chris, is 2806.5 really the best size motor for 7", or is it just a trend that all the manufacturers are scared to break away from?

    Can also test some of the 2808 sizes with them? Like the 1500kv that many mountain surfers love. I have the emax eco-2's and want to know if I should switch to 2808

    Hey Chris love your content brother. Was wondering if you could do a budget 2207 motor round up and test. Motors in the $15 dollar range give or take. (Xing E pro, t motor velox, flyfish sword, axis flying AE, bosh v2 ) just to name a few examples lol. Just curious as frequent bando visitor which cheap motor is best bang for my buck. Currently xing e pro have been my go to bc of the unibell but I feel they lack power compared to my other motors. Thinking about switching to something with more performance even if it means giving up the unibell.

    Thanks for the video and information about these motors. I have a question, I went with the Diatone 2808 1100kv TOKA motors on my 7in lr quad. Have you tested this ? Thanks for the video

    Well, I'm looking at upgrading my Reptile Dragon 2 (not a quad) motors from T-motor F60 w/ 7x4x3 props to add a little for power, the Emax Eco II looks like a great solution (was going to buy two F90 motors but the Eco II's are almost 1/2 the cost!) and I don't care about weight or response, but efficiency and power is very import. I need to hand lunch this thing and fly for a long time. Also, I can't fit larger props, so 7x4x3 is the max. Maybe make some 'plane' motor focused videos.

    Damn I never did the 3106 cause iflight specs had it so inefficient. But here it is so efficient. Damn I should of tried it. I ordered speedybee 2807 1050kV

    In my opinion, weight normalization does not correspond to reality in the way it has been demonstrated. A long-range drone with a Li-ion battery will weigh about 900g and say 20g of total weight difference will be about 2% in total, which will lead to a change in setup efficiency of hardly more than 3%.

      10" id say no way. 8" max. Even 8" alot of times too small of a motor it won't fly great cause it can't speed up and slow down a big prop well

    I've been buying nothing but skystars koko motors for over a year now, i have 1-3 sets of every size available in the koko lineup and they are all excellent at a far lower cost. I also like emax motors but skystars are much better quality and still cheaper yet. My 7inch has skystars koko287 on them and it flys great for a $59 set, i think they may even beat out some tested here and are cheaper then any these. My favorite motors of any rite now are my 1505 koko on my grinderino and jm3.5 running 3630 props. I'd really like to see a show down with 3.5" motors, anything from t-motors 1404 and 1604, to the 1804, and even 1507, granted different motors will need different props, but please start putting cheaper motors like skystars in your tests for us poor pilots.

    • @DigitalCruzer
      @DigitalCruzer 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also needs to have 2 different categories, because you could put the 1404, 1505, and for 1604 on sub 250g frames fairly easily, but I would still like to see those compared to the larger ones that would be heavier bashers
