This Album slaps!! … The first time I heard massive attack was there mezzanine album back in 2000, I had never heard of anything like it before since then my taste has expanded ten fold but it blows my lid knowing it was released in 98 and it totally destroys the shit they are calling music today, so many years later and it still sounds fresh as ever … I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve gotten laid to this album, it is a total mood magnet and puts people in a trance if they listen long enough.

Yup, definitely one of my faves by Massive attack. And for those of you who wonder what is the genre of this - there is no real answer. Or maybe there is - the genre is Massive attack :o) One of the things they became renown for was mixing different genres so even though they are considered "godfathers" of trip-hop you can't say all of their songs fit in trip-hop (few of them really do, actually :o) ). Btw, they considered themselves a HIP-HOP band in their beginnings (their debut - Blue lines).
It's really strange I just watched this movie 2 days ago. I've always found Massive Attack music to be interesting so I clicked on it. I didn't know it had footage from the movie immortal. This song still sounds more futuristc than most production released for the past 20 years
This Album slaps!! … The first time I heard massive attack was there mezzanine album back in 2000, I had never heard of anything like it before since then my taste has expanded ten fold but it blows my lid knowing it was released in 98 and it totally destroys the shit they are calling music today, so many years later and it still sounds fresh as ever … I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve gotten laid to this album, it is a total mood magnet and puts people in a trance if they listen long enough.
so true nothing beats music of the 90s and early 2000s i was only 4 at the time they released the mezzanine album wish i could have been older but i still remember hearing music from around this time here and there
film d'Enki Bilal ; The immortal.....Immortel en français!!!! sublime comme la chanson!!!
2:50 I've always air drum and headbang at this part, so impressed with the song transformation, from a peaceful beat to a turmoil hard beat, just massive attack
Awesome music we love massive attack! mezzanine is an amazing album everyone should have a copy of that album and listen to it from start to finish just the way it is it is perfect and I just love it husband loves it too definitely great music too spend quality time with a loved one to if you know what I mean... Nod nod ;-) wink wink say no more
everyone should have a copy of a comma button
Oh I know what you mean. Just one question. What's it like? 😂
@@phoule76 or Karmacoma. Another great Massive Attack song. You are mean Peter. I was sick as hell when I left that comment 6 yrs ago. I'm sure you don't know what chemotherapy is, but it can mess with cognitive function and memory. May you never go through it.
IMMORTEL.... really good movie....
hello there
I saw the movie many, many years ago. More than 12 - 13 years ago. I saw it after one of my exams sessions in the Univ. It chilled me out after the stress. The actress - main character was very beautiful. This is why I started to love blue lipstick with the blue hair 👍💙
The comic is much much better than the movie though
Love the y2k visionary fashion! Reminds me of the costumes in The Matrix... such a cool, sleek look.
@redzwinky check out their other albums too, specially Mezzanine...it's a masterpiece.
Massive Attack - Special Cases
Massive Attack - Black Milk
Massive Attack - Protection
Portishead - Sour Times
Portishead - All mine
Portishead - It Could Be Sweet
Elizabeth Fraser - This Love
THE BEST FAN VIDEO! Introduced me to Enki Bilal. Without it, I never would have known about the Nikopol Trilogy!
Matrix brought me here!! Finally, I've been looking for this song for ages!!!!
I know this is a Matrix tune, but the video makes me think of The Fifth Element.
this song is such a masterpiece. the whole song is delicious, but when 5:15 starts, I just ascend every time. it's the one song I just never get sick of. absolute genius work
Same. I go into a different place when I hear this song 😍😍😍😍😍
Brilliant, fantastic and shows some of the major ideas that became the Matrix. But let's credit the genius of Massive Attack.
Been indulged in the pleasures of flesh and debauchery while listening to this song one many times.
Cheers from Costa Rica :)
Pura Vida!
+Sadness1335 Jeje pura vida...
This is the perfect song to............indulge oneself while it plays softly in the background. Another one is wolfmoon =TON. And Deftones= sextape
I happened to know this from Westworld TV series. I rarely listen to vocal music, but I like this one.
this has been one of my favorite songs for years, this movie is absolutely awesome as well. bravo for putting them together
thanks to you I remembered I saw this film many years ago,
great work of fusion between the song and the video!
Westworld has great music choices.
I still have the greatness of the original cd album in my car and it sounds as beautifull as it is..clean and perfecto. Glory to this song and glory to this album. Pure eternity
In the 5th element, it's yellow cab that saves the girl. Here. it's an ancient eagle that delivers the girl amidst the concrete jungle. Very symbolic visuals.
That's the Egytian God Horus.
Lagler Adrian : machst du einen Fehler fängst du von vorne !
Seeing Massive Attack live just after the Matrix was an unforgettable experience 👌 ❣️
Good Behavior TV series brought me here! Love that show!
Song showed up on the show Good Behavior on TNT...Hadn't heard it in a while.
Wonderful Enki Bilal, wonderful Massive Attack.
I'm blessed to have a 3D copy of it and it is a really strange but very interesting movie. The song was really good just like most stuff I have heard by Massive Attack. I just thought it was really a strange coincidence. I hope that doesn't mean that my phone is watching what I'm watching.
Came because of Neo's taste in music
Stayed because it's actually really good music
Thanks Neo
This is just a great track. Mazzanine is just a super album and Massive Attack is still a great Trip-Hop Band. I will never get tired of it.
Wake up Neo
I have been trying to remember the name of this movie one month now ... Great movie, love Massive and this video is spot on right now.
yuri orlov Thank you, you are too kind.
Victo Vikilandia th-cam.com/video/yzHJf-am0QY/w-d-xo.html there you are link of the movie
Cool... Trip Hop...
Gothic Trip Hop...
Mr. Anderson! Welcome Back. We missed you….
is this video really made in late 90's? if so it looks damn impressive
The movie came out in 2004, which is what you are seeing here set to the track.
Futuristic Age of Trump
Massive attack!!
Your Music and Videos was a Futuristic Relm ‼️🌀💎🌟🙏💢👏
need a little love to ease the pain
why not me?
/hug
Passion's overrated anyway ;)
It's a great line, and who doesn't honey? :)
This tune was way ahead of its time. 20 years old now, can you believe it?
2:05 Wake up, Neo . . .
Never Met such a dark and Twisted mind like this Man !
I mean Homeless man
Wasn't this song in the move, "The Jackal?"
mrkrigs44 yeah, when the jackal calls to the russian spy
This song is like a warm hug from the 90’s
I've been obsessed with this song for years. I feel like neo asleep at the computer. Endlessly searching for the truth. Reading reports on hints and spottings. Isolated and waiting for contact. Maybe this is a simulation. 🖤
Heavydoctor7243, believe in me...leave the bulloks and go at work...you're not a simulation of a stupid man, you're absolutely a stupid man, came back to sleep...it's better. Massive Attak greats...but not for you.
This is one of those songs that has a strong tie to memory for me...in a good way! such a trip!
my dad's taste in music raised me with massive attack
Neo sleeping to this banger rather than turning up.
Nice Video Audio Combination....
The video is from the movie Immortal (2004). It took me a while to match the two. As all the searches match to the Matrix
MARCH 2020.. STILL
D O P E ❣️✨✨🤞✨
Well, it's 2020 and dystopian future videos look...cute.
@@FranFerioli Ciao e thank's a lot precious 💎🙏
2020, the good ole days
Been listening to the beginning of the Matrix trying to find this song... the Matrix was the first R rated movie I ever saw. Still my favorite movie to this day. I'm 16 now but I was only like 10 at the time. I used to play FPS games on LAN with my dad and his buddies, and then I'd grab some ice cream and watch the Matrix with him. This song reminds me of those good ol' days I spent with my dad. I miss 2010-2013.
Love the Matrix vibe with all their tracks.
I have loved and listened to massive attack music for more than 20 years; and it will stay like that!
Now I would like to know from you how many people around the world will continue to hear these miracles in 2024, and from where?
❤❤❤❤
