I was young. I did that. I learned it from listening to the Elvis Costello EP live at Hollywood High. I kind of regret it now, but I also kind of still like hearing it. People shriek, even when it is silence that brings the to rapture. Empathize.

I began to listen to more Pink Floyd, Ozric Tentacles, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy and of course Portishead to name a few. Sometimes being fixed into one scene makes you miss so much. Luckily some music breaks the barriers and forces you to listen. And it's usually worth it.

And many times I overdosed trying to kill the pain of my existence. But each time God sent someone to find me dying and call an ambulance. Blessed be the Name of the Lord! @@kustomkure I enjoyed the music from the 1990's but the 1980's were more eclectic and exciting .
For me the 1960's and the 1980's are still my favourite musical decades.
ps plenty of great music around nowadays eg LP, Low, London Grammar, Interpol, The Kills, Daughter , First Aid Kit etc etc
just bought the new National album. Outstanding !
"Oblivions" is a beautiful and oh so subtle track . Love the female co vocalists.
