What do you mean by "fairly decent C64 game" ? It's actually a great conversion, with very nice graphics, smooth multi directional scrolling, and an absolute killer Soundtrack by Geoff, which surpasses the original Arcade version. From a playability standpoint, it also stomps the Amiga version right into the ground. It's a shame that many of Geoff's tunes are falsely credited to his brother Tim.
This is not the only game in which Geoff Follin composed for the c64. I also recently found out that he composed this music for a video game that was never released on the market th-cam.com/video/NExKt3t68qw/w-d-xo.html.
One of the first games I got for my C64 and my mind was blown, even if it was a multiload nightmare on cassette!

Agreed, this was one of my favourite games on the C64, and I was blown away by this soundtrack at only 8 or 9 years old.

unless you had on tape... then it was short levels followed by long load times....
