Attention gamers: I do not enjoy the writing in this game at all. I'm saving you all an earful by skipping the dialogue and keeping the videos to the superior gameplay loop. You will not be happy if I decide to give the "story" any attention.
@@someonesomeone7000 I trust it because he knows when a game has a good story and he knows when a game...well does not. So as someone who loved a story and has never played this game. I think he's not leading us down a dark path but one with a brighter end!
It’s difficult to tell the exact value, and personally when playing the robot I don’t pay it much mind, but I actually tend to work off of what dice I get (knowing their value after I use them) to tell what I got.
I like how each character has a weakness just like enemies in the game. Like Robot being really weak against blind since every single dice is blind as well as the CPU counter, and really strong against freeze since no matter what, you have to get to a threshold so you can just keep “calculating” / rolling until freeze debuff is gone and in some cases it even helps you if you have cards that use “odd” dice.
@@lacerationns it just adds all four dice together, deals that damage and applies a random status effect (like burn, freeze, lock, etc) it's really good for the damage since it's 4 dice but it also requires you commit to it early on
I do love how different status effects can either help or hurt your character in very different ways. Like with the robot, a freeze can be very good with things like Forcefield and Mechanical Arm while blinding kinda sucks until you're good with the sound cues. Also, curse cannot affect your calculate ability, as it's not considered equipment. Final note, I forgot how nerfed sneezy is nowadays. Early build sneezy was a headache without freeze builds.
Keep in mind you automatically heal to max when leveling up. This means you should keep your limit break on the last fight before leveling up, or even skip turns to purposefully max it out.
I think while Heat Sink can be good, it's mostly just a worse Increment. Sure, it gives a slight possibility of extra dice, but that's its only advantage over Increment. His disregard of Short Circuit, especially at the end when he had a high CPU, was unfortunate though.
I think heat sink makes the most sense if you're running some sort of Mechanical Arm focused build, it basically gives you more rolls. meanwhile Increment lets you force a jackpot with no risk of going over if you use it right, especially if you're building for a jackpot-focused build anyway since you'd have a wider jackpot range.
5:04 Nudge is actually kind of useful for when you have a dice that is one too big for a certain card and also turning an even into an odd and vice versa. 10:46 Oh god. 13:10 I think it would be similar to Bump where if you bump a 6, it gives you the 6 back but you just generate a 1 out of thin air. So you're right, putting two 5s in would make a 6 and a 4.
As someone who’s never seen this character before, a tip is before using the Auto Roll limit break you should roll until you are it is at least possible to get an error because there is always a chance you just get a jackpot totally for free
@Samuel Werley but depending how the first few rolls go you may not need to autoroll-you might see your first three dice and know that you'll find lethal, or you'll know that it's impossible even with jackpot. Rolling as much as you can first cuts down on 'wasted' autorolls in both directions
There's a couple times he forgets the bump sixes to get an extra one. Then the nudge the one for an extra one. Kind of the best part of having bump and nudge.
Regardless, increment is just better, no dice restrictions, I guess cheat code + is more efficient than increment + because it uses less dice for the same result
@@natchu96 not just equipment, my main concern is the dice cost, potentially using 2/3 dice on a turn where you may want that many increments is quite expensive - if you want to increment twice you're better off using a upgraded cheat code, and the increment slot isn't going to get used, so might as well change it for an armour/weapon/anything else
