    hey Bill thanks for posting so much. did the speedometer change at all with this or does the bike read off the rear wheel…?

    Hey Bill good content and thanks for the step by step instructions. If you don't mind, could you please explain the advantage of one gear down on the front sprocket? What do you gain by this?
    Why didn't this configuration work on the streetfighter V4S?
    Hope to hear back from you soon.
    Cheers!!
    Alan.

      Going down in front or up in the rear will give your motorcycle more acceleration while reducing top speed. Opposite does the opposite. The gearing change made the streetfighter too torquey and riding on the freeway was leaving the bike at like 8k rpm (bit too high).

    Thank you for the great video! Regarding the "finagling" to get the rear wheel back in, I remove the rear brake pads to make it easier. Yes, it takes 7 minutes to remove and replace brake pads, but wheel slides in much easier/faster (for me) and I don't have the frustration.

      IMPORTANT NOTE: If you take the pads out, be sure to put the pin back in through the calipers and put the clip back in the pin, otherwise it is possible for the calipers to slide apart and the top clips will fall out.

    Hey Bill, Happy Thanksgiving to you and Nikki!
    Quick question, I recently purchased rear sprocket titanium nutz for my 2022 S1000rr ... Can I leave the rear wheel on the bike and swap out the older nutz one at a time? (Nutz torque 70nm) Good or bad idea?

    Thanks for the product link! Using that website identifies the appropriate chain as a 525 instead of the 520 and I wondered why you choose the 520?

    That locking ring on the front sprocket, I'm assuming it doesn't spin once you put It on. How did you line it up with the nut when you torqued the nut down to spec? I guess you just bend it where ever it lined up? I.e. no need to bend it where it was originally bent? Also, isn't the rear wheel nut supposed to be torqued to 125Nm?

    I went one tooth down up front on my multistrada and hated it. Cost me a new chain to go back.... listened to everyone and on the forum that the bike should have come that way, couldn't stand it. Went back in under 1000 miles. Over $300 trial.. engineers have it right! Hope you like it....

    • @CaliMotoTV
      @CaliMotoTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We didn't like it on the streetfighter either. There's some bikes it works on, some it doesn't. We shall see.

    I’d always slacken the front sprocket before I cut the chain just so can I use rear brake to hold it as it can be a strain on gearbox if done after the chain is cut

      Watched your last chuckwalla video with the new quick shifter and new 360 views very interesting, I saw the odd shift the street fighter did on you and wondered as an experiment to see if it’s actually the shifter miss behaving or maybe a slight error of your foot or a gearbox issue you could mount a camera specifically at your left foot and ride a few sessions and go over the footage just for your own curiosity it may highlight the issue once and for all ! I’m not saying it will solve anything but may rule out obvious things , I have had my foot on my shifter unknowingly whilst trying to short shift and had bike kill as my foot hadn’t fully lifted of the shift pedal and I know u stated before you have a large foot it’s just a thought but overall live your videos at least you show warts and all not just say every single thing and product is awesome like some will to not offend the vendors etc which in my eyes is a total sell out , keep up the good work buddy it’s very much appreciated 👍
