    Definitely put the carbon fiber trim on. Anything beats plastic and carbon fiber is not only sporty and light but elegant as well.

    Thanks Bill for another clear instruction video. Did the pack of rotor screws automatically come in the kit supplied by OPP Racing or are they a separate add on I would have to put into my cart prior to check out?

    You should always put new pads on the bike with the new discs as the old ones will have a track from the wear on the old discs,, surprising bmw don't fit floating discs on the bike as standard,, get the carbon fibre on the bike bill,, calling out bum suppliers,, they up the game or go bust,, ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️from Northern Ireland have a good new year's and keep the videos coming,, 😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍hi

    The Brembo HPK work better and you no longer have a deformation problem?

  • @dsimon9s29

    Thanks for posting. Did you replace the calipers on a previous episode? I thought the R & RR came with the Nissin calipers.

    • @rogerkohnen68
      @rogerkohnen68 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I was also surprised. In Europe the S1000R is delivered with BMW branded callipers ( build by Haynes or …?)

    • @dsimon9s29
      @dsimon9s29 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rogerkohnen68 In the USA, the Haynes had a leaking brake fluid issue in the RR and 1250GS (other models as well, but can't remember which). They were never able to fix it, so BMW switched to the Nissin. It was bad enough that BMW had a stop sale order in place (in the USA) on all RR, GS (and other models I can't remember at the moment) with the dealers. All 2020 (I believe in the EU the K67 first model year was 2019), and 2021 front brake calipers were replaced by BMW as part of a massive recall. The stop order was initiated in Oct 2020 and was not lifted until Feb (GS and others)/March 2021(RR).

    • @MrDeepseadweller
      @MrDeepseadweller 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apparently BMW were trying to shave down the cost of the new S1000RR but Brembo refused to supply them at the price demanded, so BMW switched to Hayes. When they had the Hayes recall, BMW replaced the calipers with either Nissin or Brembo. I know that on the new S1000XR BMW have gone back to Brembo so it might be the same on Bill’s 2022 single R.

    • @CaliMotoTV

    Hi Bill! I see you sold your S1000RR 2020 and now bought a 2022. I dont see a video where you talk about getting back on the S1k and whether the things you disliked before are fixed? Why did you go back to it?

    May I suggest two things.
    1) Pit Bull’s Pit Crew Tire Wedge.
    2) After removing the caliper bolts, lift the calipers off the Dow pins and with the calipers still on the rotor, push the caliper in and out. This forces the pistons in thus giving you more room to remove the calipers without chipping the wheel.
