Very educative indeed and the most lucid I have come across so far, even than videsi. Is there a viscosity meter which you can recommend for assessing the state of the engine oils? Also kindly suggest the brand's of the tyre gauge cum deflator. A thousand salutes and keep educating us ❤
Thank you very much for your kind words and support my friend! 😊🙏 Normally, oil checking devices are very expensive and there is no use in buying cheaper ones and the cheaper ones are also not very cheap, but they are actually cheap - what those devices do is to tell you the approximate level of quality, right? THE ALMIGHTY gives us the best senses and, with gradual experience, we can learn quickly, let those senses feel viscosity over a period of time and, in this case, we have to do it by rubbing the engine oil between two fingers. Trust me, after some time, your touch sense will work even better than those meters Sir! 😊 For the deflator, rest assured, I will paste the link of deflator I have at the bottom of the description. Please check the description after an hour or so. I do not want to say it is the best one, but it does the job. For any other questions (as many as you have), I am glad to answer around automobile knowhow. I also learn that with time and am really glad to share all of that I know with all of you! Thanks again 😊❤️🙏
The way you cover so many nuances about the vehicle makes the viewer less intimidated and more confident about the different complicated systems of the car. I cant wait to see you explaining topics like engine bay maintenance, under body care, transfer case, diffs etc. Really appreciate your efforts in educating, rather enlightening all of us. One doubt, is there an indicator in the MID that will warn you of low or high engine oil level or it has to be always checked with the dip stick?
Great and thanks, this entire maintenance series going to cover number videos and each of the will talk about different topics. I will try making detailed videos. This is a good question, at this price range there are no low or high oil level indications. It may give the engine light to warn something wrong. Dipstick is the only way you have.
Thank you very much! On highways, it reduces almost 70-80% noise from the hood. Heat is almost 100% to the roof of the hood. I designed and installed this on my own in three layers with heat and sound resistant material.
@thendup1 Sure my friend, I'm probably not able to make a full installation because I can't afford to remove and install it again but I will try my best to tell the step by step process, does & don't and material details for sure. After Diwali in the middle of Nov you will see it for sure. Will try my best 😊👍 Hope this works! 🙏
Many thanks! I installed those on my own. Insulation is of three layers and stops 80% noises on highways. I planned, designed including material to use and got that installed.
All of the above are valid points. If you do any kind of long distance driving the air checking points are not calibrated and will over fill pressure any place away from tier 1&2 cities. If you detect a puncture in a tubeless tyre it will not deflate immediately. Just refill air with your inflator and drive to the next tyre repair point,no panic needed. Don’t get an inflator with a built in battery. Get one that works with the 12v socket. Most cheap ones have weak pumps and can’t fill a full tyre from a deflated state. Like most devices with built in non removable batteries they have battery self drain. So if you keep it at 100 percent it will not be at 100 percent a few weeks later. In an emergency you don’t want to wait for it to charge!!
@@MashofreaksAuto One can inflate the tyre to the desired psi when hot but remember to recheck in the morning before driving again. You will find at least 4-5 psi difference during the summer months, it will be lesser when cold.
Right and fair point, 1-2 points lesser is not a safety hazard but higher pressure is, especially if one is going to drive for longer hours on highways after that.
Ji Kuman Sahab, not just offroading but it sometimes needs very much in extremely steep gradients and you need to stop and then start. I will try making some videos. Thanks for your support and suggestions! 🙏 Keep on talking whenever you get time. Thanks 👍😊
Thank you for sharing the tyre gauge cum deflator. Much appreciated. Was looking for a quick way to deflate while going off road. I couldn’t find a set for a reasonable price. This one looks decent.
Many thanks 🙏 This is not very fast if you want to deflate too much but it does its job. Also, there are some digital deflators also. This one is for 500-600 bucks max. Love to see your contribution to different threads. 😊👍
Hello Sir, i told you about the stearing wobling issue while high speed breaking in my and some of my friends Jimny. Suzuki replaced my front disk breaks and king pins assembly last week and i am not observing the issue now.
Yes, I remember Sachin ji! Thank you for letting me know. I am glad the issue has been fixed. Normally King Pin is made of high strength steel. I believe it is more of a problem with King Pin bearing. But that's a good problem that is resolved and the good thing is Suzuki is taking these issues seriously. Sort of good news for Jimny owners. 👏👍😊
I checked trye pressure of my Jimny after two weeks of its delivery, and to my horror, the dealers had had delivered the vehicle with 36psi in the tyre. I reduced the pressure to 26psi and i got to say the ride quality has increased considerably.
Yeah, it has to be 👍 I must say lots of thud sound from suspensions you had noticed in addition to discomfort. That situation is also not good for suspension and safety of the vehicle. Thanks for contributing and sharing your exp 👍
I got 41 psi on my Jimny, which I reduced to 29 psi for full load conditions. But some are of the view that initially when new, the pressure should be higher so that the tyre sits properly on the rim. Sounds plausible.
@pmscott892 41 is at a dangerous level. Are you using stock tyres Sir? Please watch this video whatever the case is: th-cam.com/video/lua92KW1QI0/w-d-xo.html
Great video! Regarding tyre pressure I have a query! As in Jimny one goes for 215 /75 / R15 . Now should we keep same pressure as recommended on Jimny door or should we go higher pressure.
Thanks my friend, ideally, the tyre manufacturer should tell this based on rubber they have used and stock recommended tyre pressure. It is bit tricky but let me try to answer it for you: In offroad conditions, it is advisable to drive with little lesser tire pressure (may be 1 or 2 point). When you drive on the highways, drive with stock recommendations. If you feel with least loads, it is bit stiffer on highways with stock pressure then reduce it with one point to make it bit comfortable. But if you are running with loads then you may need to increase it with 1-2 higher (not more than that). Do not increase the tire pressure in rainy, snowy and slippery conditions at all. In those conditions irrespective of loads reduce tire pressure by 3-4 points for safety perspective. Hope, this answers your question! 😊🙏
@@MashofreaksAuto thanks but my question is regarding change in tyre pressure if size is changed . Means stock tyres size of Jimny is 195/80/R15 and tyre pressure recommends is 26 to 29 . Now if I change them to 215/75/R15 then what should be pressure as per you? More precisely if you go for Geolandar Yokohama tyres of size 217/75/R15 what pressure you will use 🙏🙏🙏
@shiv81000 Ideally, these AT and LT are two different things. LT is a light truck category with a higher load index which possibly also means stiffer side wall. If this is the case then keep the same pressure and if you still find the drive stiffer then reduce it by 1-2 points maximum. You have to choose between comfort and fuel economy with this tire Sir! Hope, this answer but feel free to ask if there is still some confusion. Thanks ☺️🙏
Thank you Vijay Sahab! One which I used in video is just gauge and deflator. So are you looking for the gauge and deflator or the inflator I have but did not show that in video Sir?
