What a beautiful spot, just tucked away and you can get the truck right next to it. I like that set up. I finely got a net and am heading out soon on the east coast, nth island. I've been watching and learning as much as possible and those are the cleanest whitebait I've seen so far. Awesome video guy's, I subscribed and looking forward to catch up on your other videos. Very cool never seen that done. We used to have a fish similar to that called smelt, lanterns over water a night with a dip net. Use to catch 1000's lucky to see 1 nowadays. Sad but true.

2.38.... Those of you who don't know the rules or regs... You aren't allowed water to go behind your gobyes and you aren't allowed to heard or chase the bait into your net .... Just saying
Unless the rules have changed this year....letting water go behind the first screen is 100% legal in New Zealand unless you are fishing in Westland area. They have totally different set of rules and season start/finish dates. I have never read anything about the heard thing also but will review the rules before I go out next time, just in case....I want to keep it 100% legal. 🤓
