Reducing fuel price is not a good request, they will start round trooping again, buying it in Nigeria low and selling to neighboring countries at higher prices. I hate to say this to you but Nigeria has one the cheapest fuel in the world. It is below 1$ it is about 50cents. Going by this matrices, you will see that fuel hasn’t increased in price the current 700-850naira it is today is still hovering around 50cent if converted Our issue is the weak naira which which we have to find ways to address it and it is buy stimulating the economy and encouraging enterprise, by providing security first(people are hungry because of food scarcity not just because of fuel price , even a low fuel price without security will affect crop production) then we move to power generation to encourage manufacturing( this can be down by give more license to private power generation, small scale distribution in regions ) reduce importations charges on basic raw materials ( so people can import necessary materials to finish production, also put higher tariffs on goods that can be produced locally) and promote export of processed goods that will not cause inflation in the country( dnt promote export of basic food items for some time, set a quota before we can export) Nigeria govt should stand as guarantor for finished goods to be exported and ensuring their standards match the global acceptable standard. We lack policy and as Nigerian we elect people wrongly. Hence they can’t formulate policies that can help build the nation
