Blessings to you and happy stitching!
Hello from NC Jackie…thank you for a wonderful “visit”…I hope Archie is all better real soon. Thank you for the meditation…and for allowing us, if for just a short time, to forget when the world makes no sense, and just lose ourselves in our needlework.
Thank you! I really appreciate your kind words and thanks for watching. 💚
Thank you for sharing your passion with us! Your channel has become my Sunday afternoon peaceful me time. Im a few episodes behind but just love your demeanor and all that you share! ❤❤
Thanks so much for your kind words. 🧡
TY🥰 For all the kindness and sharing. 🙏🌻
Thank you! 🧡
First time watching. I watched it all, really liked your stitching on Bridget - just lovely. The last part of your video brought me to tears...not sure why...
Thank you for a different perspective & experience. ❤
Thanks so much for watching and sharing. I hope you’ll come back. 🩷
Wow! Thanks for the shoutout. Being a new Flosstuber has been great so far. Hoping to film again tomorrow. Really love hearing your journey with Bridget. I wish you luck in your endeavor.
You’re welcome! I’m glad things are going well so far. You are a very prolific stitcher! So many beautiful projects. Enjoy! 😊
Thank you Jackie, for another video. Always a pleasure listening to all the interesting things you share and your beautiful stitching. Glad to hear Archie is doing well. And that you found the pj's to avoid the awful cone!! Beautiful ending of the video also. Happy birthday and new start!
Thank you so much!
The alter picture you shared reminded me of your Cross Stitch Bridget piece. Again, it was a very nice time watching your video.
Thanks Dorie 🐟
Thank you, Dorie! That chapel with the altar ai showed was on one of the Orkney Islands. I loved that space. So beautiful. 🩷
I really do love everything in your videos. Following your journey with Bridget and Antoinette, books that inspire you, recent purchases. But I especially enjoy the very end, when I put down my stitching, breathe deeply and look at your beautiful photos or close my eyes and listen to your soothing voice. Thank you for all of it! ❤
Thank you so much! I’m especially pleased that you enjoyed the sacred spaces montage. I loved putting that together. 🩷
Love your videos! So happy Archie is on the mend! Your Bridget Power looks amazing!!!!❤
Thank you so much! 🩷🩷🩷
When Sarah announced her surprise visitor during her zoom meeting a few weeks ago, I was very pleased to see that it was you, having recently discovered your channel. Your stitching is beautiful. I hope you can locate Bridget Power. What you've found out so far is fascinating. Your photos were wonderful. They reminded me of places that have awed me. Thank you.
Thank you so much! 😊
I so look forward to your video's. This one was no exception. I am a history fanatic and love to hear all about your research into the Power's piece. I am also a follower on Trisha Ngyuen and saw the exhibit by the DAR on her video. I wish I could see it in person. Thank you for the pictures of the sacred places. When I was in Ireland last year, I made a point of attending a Vespers service at Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin. It is something that I will remember for the rest of my life.
Thank you, and thanks so much for sharing that memory of your time in Ireland. Lovely. 🩷
Thank you for Bridget story. I never was drawn to samplers but I bought some. One being Bridgett because of you.The pattern is very intimidating. I need to save up for the supplies. I want to stitch it just like you are with your color choices and fabric. Thank you for links you always post. The story has drawn me in.
You are so welcome! I’m glad to know you’ve been inspired to try something new and a bit outside your comfort zone. You can do it if you decide that you can. 🧡🍁🍂
Happy to hear that Archie is doing well! I was able to order the Julia Rachel De La Mare sampler, but I'm going to have to wait a bit for it to ship. That's fine, because there are plenty WIPS to keep me busy! Currently stitching the Lone Eagle Sampler from Needlework Press and G. Leger 1898 from Reflets de Soie. Love French inspired samplers! The tortoise shell scissors are very pretty! I work at Hobby House so I know these scissors as well as the mother of pearl. Couldn't go wrong with either choice. They sold quickly! I hope you'll take us along on your linen dyeing adventure! As always, I so enjoy your videos!
Thank you! You’ve got some wonderful WIPS that you are working on. How wonderful that you get to be surrounded by so much inspiration every day at your job! Hobby House is a bucket list shop for me. One day I’ll make it there! I will try to get some pictures of the linen dying experience if I can. 😊
My doc is Nguyen, and she pronounces "win!" You are correct!
I don't consider myself a sampler stitcher, but I do love alphabets. I have a couple of Thea Governor's kits in red. Gorgeous! I like backstitxhing and French knots too😊😊
And I always love a book review!
Your photos moved me to teats. Beautiful places, I've not visited, but always wanted to see. Thank you!
Thank you! 🩷
Your videos are so beautiful. I feel that when I’m watching as I’m stitching I feel calm and relaxed, as if your whole video is a meditation. I enjoy the history that you share of the samplers you are stitching. The photos of the young girls from the 1800s are fascinating. The drive to learn more about Bridgett is very strong. I’m glad Archie is recovering well from his surgery, such a relief. Have a wonderful birthday! Cheers to a very special day! 🎂
Thank you so much! Archie continues to improve every day. ☺️🩷
Thank you for taking the time to share yourself, your stitching, and your thoughts with us.
As a career quiltmaking teacher and designer I had similar curiosity and research into quilts made in the past. My favorite era was the 1840s and my medium was appliqué. Often my designs included elements and sometimes were copies of quilts from the era. When actually stitching these things you begin to “know and understand the mind of the original maker. You are experiencing the same thing with Bridget; you are stitching alongside her and begin to have an emotional connection and understanding of the person. It is a very satisfying experience.
One last comment. One of my dearest friends was a devout Catholic. She always referred to herself as a “Irish Catholic” with pride in her voice, as if being Irish and Catholic elevated her status as a doer and believer. (Her last name was McNally.) She demonstrated the things she believed and practiced in ways that proved her faith through kindness and her willingness to serve those in need. I never asked her why the “Irish” addition to her self-description and I now wish I had. Maybe you could explore that reference for your own edification.😊
Thanks so much for sharing! I really appreciated your perspective coming from a different form of needlework. 🩷
Love catching up with you, your stitching is beautiful.
Thank you so much! ☺️
I purchased Bridget after seeing your stitching. I have not started it yet though. I am loving hearing about your search for her. Thank you for the meditation. Happy stitching.
I hope you enjoy stitching the Bridget sampler as much as I have. 🩷
Well I ordered Bridget! Thank you for enabling me to get it! Can’t wait to start! Love your videos!
Have fun! ☺️
Jackie...I feel like my world always expands during your lovely visits...best wishes for you and Archie ❤
🤗🤗🤗
So glad Archie is doing well. As I was watching this video, I was stitching Hope and Love by Hands Across the Sea, Clara and Maude Pickernell 1881 and I started to look at their stories. Their orphanage records and just learning all about them and you really become invested in them when you stitch. You have so many questions and wonder how they did this large Bristol Sampler with the most beautiful letters, it’s just amazing. So when you talk about and share Bridget it is if we are all invested in her. She is just beautiful and that is interesting about the Rosary beads. Antoinette is gorgeous and you made great progress, I could stitch letters all day. Even though you are still learning about Bridget, you have made some great connections to the stitching community and Bridget has brought you those new wonderful friendships. Julia is beautiful as well as your scissors, Happy Birthday and enjoy your new start. Your images and meditation was amazing. I know when we travel there are certain things we try to find like churches, libraries and somewhere that- has water whether it be a river, ocean or a lake. These are areas that bring joy and to be present in them is such a blessing. Happy Stitching
Thank you so much for sharing about what you’re working on. We do become very invested in these young girls lives, don’t we. Yes, in so many ways Bridget has forever changed me. 🩷 🩷🩷
So glad to hear that Archie is recovering well from his surgery. Your Bridgit piece is coming along so nicely. It’s beautiful! I enjoy hearing about your history search on her. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you Jackie for ending your lovely visit with a peaceful meditation. Prior to your meditation segment I discovered I needed to frog!!!Those deep breathes could not have come at a more needed time…We are put where we are meant to be! So I had beautiful photos and music while I began frogging…thank you. The info on the DAR exhibit and floss tube visit is so appreciated!! Thank you! I will follow your birthday start as soon as I receive mine as peorders were just generously offered for us “not in the club stitchers”! My birthday is in October so I had decided to preorder that for myself! I have no right buying anything else but This is truly the most gorgeous sampler..how could I not! Your connection with Bridget is beautiful. I am holding off my start with her for Jan. 1 in hopes to get a few wips completed🙄 I love the aspect of the rosary beads! Until next time..Happy Stitching!
Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comments. Frogging is never fun, I’m glad the meditation made it bearable. The Julia De La Mare sampler will be beautiful! Happy Birthday!
I’m glad Archie is going okay. I always look forward to your Flosstubes they have such a positive flow and passion.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful video again. Love your quiet times with us, love your research updates on B. Power, and love your stitching and everything you share with us. Thabk you so much! So glad your sweet puppy is doing so well. Happy Birthday to you!!
Thank you so much! 🩷
I just love your TH-cam channel! I learn more about myself during the video but more about stitching, as well. I'm not a sampler stitcher, but I'm learning about it from you. I appreciate you taking the time to impart what you're learning and stitching, so thank you.
I'm so glad! Thanks for following along! 🧡
I’m so glad I watched this video! I’m not a fan of samplers……BUT……I think you have changed my mind! I’ve never seen the precious floral samplers! Gorgeous! I may have to delve into this cross stitch!
I grew up in Northern New Mexico!❤ I’m in Texas now and I desperately miss the mountains, the mountain air, the landscape!
Thank you! Since you grew up in Northern New Mexico you probably recognized a few of the places in my photos. 🤗
Enjoyed your video … thank you for sharing your knowledge of sampler works and your thoughts about them … until next time Happy Stitching 🧵 … 😊❤ Dena
Thanks so much for watching! 🩷
What a beautiful blessing you are 🙏🪡🧵
You are so kind. Thank you. 🙏 🩷
I am so happy you have decided to allow us to spend time with you.
☺️ thank you!
I am very late in watching, but I am so glad that I did! Your videos are always so inspiring and beautiful to watch and listen to. Your meditation at the end was so calming, and meaningful to me.. I am so glad that Archie came through his operation so well, and is on the way to full recovery! As I am facing a very major surgery next week, I will carry your images with me and think of all of the sacred places in my own memory. Thank you again!
Thank you! I wish you well on your healing journey. 🙏🏻🩷
Oh how tears flowed to hear the beautiful gift of your description of me. Truly, your words were a gift that my heart will always hold so dear.
Thank you my friend
I am honored beyond words❤

Such a special video. Your sacred spaces photos gave me chills, as did the prayer. Namaste. 🙏

Wow Jackie, the only thing I know to say is I feel restored. There is so much beauty in your flosstube (truly in you), from the ƙind nurturing you offer to Archie, to your search for Brigette, to the joyous anticipation of the next stitch, to the encouragement of other stitchers and flosstube creators, to the lovely images you shared, and your prayer. Thank you. So much of what you shared resonated deeply within me. Thank you for your time.
Thank you so much. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Oh my goodness. I’m laughing out loud. I wish I could say I don’t understand how you were feeling in the car with your hubby but unfortunately I’ve been there many times Iwas howling listening to you comment on having to go all over town to save a few pennies. Thank you for the comedy relief.
Hi there, I think maybe you intended this comment for a different video than mine. I haven’t told any stories about being out about town to save pennies, recently. ☺️
You are right. I was watching Brenda and the serial stitcher. Your flosstube came on right after so when I was writing them you tube switched programs. Love your flosstube. You need to watch Brenda’s. It’s so funny at the end.
Hi Jackie, a little later than normal, I was in France for a 2 week holiday. So lots of flosstubes I have to watch, less time and peace to watch quiet. After some doubt I decided to stay for the last 8 or so minutes. And again, like the other times, overwhelmed, tears, peace and a smile on my face. Sorry, I forgot about Bridget and all the other stuff you told and showed but they will come back, later, this is all so new to me. For now: thank you and till next time!
I hope your time in France was fantastic! Thank you for sharing and for watching. 🤗🩷
Lovely video, Jackie. Your progress on both pieces is wonderful to see. Thank you so much for joining the Zoom meet up. Hopefully, will see you on Saturday. ❤❤
Thank you, Sarah. 🩷🩷🩷 Yes, I’ll see you on Saturday!
I know I say this every time ….. Your voice soothes my soul! X❤

Thank you again for another beautiful trip through your world. Your stitching is beautiful, your voice is soothing and your prayers are heartfelt. Im so happy Archie is doing well ❤
Thank you so much! 🩷
❤. Another wonderful video Jackie! I’m so loving the information about Bridgett Powers. I’m so going to miss her once you finish stitching. Take care! ❤
Thank you! I’m pleased so many people have enjoyed getting to know more about Bridget. I will definitely miss her. 🩷
Thank you Jackie for another great video. Glad to hear Archie is doing so well. Really enjoyed seeing the progress on your projects. I see that Bridget is still proving to be so enigmatic. A typical Irish lass😂😂😂
Loved the photos & what they represent for you. For me, the sound of the ocean is my sacred place.
Its nice to see Campbell back. I enjoyed Stitch Therapy and am happy to see her back.
Take care, enjoy your week off. Best wishes from 🇮🇪
Thank you, Anne Marie. Our Bridget is still being elusive. Maybe someday she’ll decide to reveal herself.
I was glad to see Campbell back, too. I always appreciated Stitch Therapy. I hope she continues in a way that feels comfortable for her.
Glad sweet Archie is healing well.and yes Sarah is fantastic! She is the kindest soul. Off to micheals for floss be back later lol. Back! Oh the end was so great as well.as a child age 5 to 14 I lived in Germany,Belgium,France and then Germany again. For some reason I was constantly asking dad to stop the car at the old (and they were ancient) cemeteries. I loved to wander and look at the ages. I also remember some churches and many castles during our travels. Thanks for that❤
Thanks for sharing your wonderful memories. ☺️
Enjoying the Bridget journey.
Thank you!
Thank you for another great video. I am so glad you have a birthday start planned . 😊 The end of your video was so relaxing….thank you.
Thank you so much!
Another Lovely episode Jackie, so pleased to hear Archie is doing so well, I love hearing your journey with Bridget and the photos of the young ladies was also good to see and your sampler is coming along beautifully. Happy Stitching❤️. Maree 🇦🇺
Thank you so much!
Julie Rachel De La Mare is only a couple of days from reaching me and I’m super excited. You have inspired me to stitch Bridget and that she to is only a few days away from arriving. I have absolutely loved watching your progress on her and couldn’t resist any longer.
Have a wonderful birthday and staycation. Happy Stitching 🌸💞🌸
Wonderful! I know you’ll enjoy both! 🩷
Another lovely time spent with you this morning, Jackie. Thank you for all that you put into creating this space that you welcome us into. ❤️
You are so welcome. 🩷
Thank you for your beautiful video, the meditation was meaningful to me. I’m so glad you’re all about the history and experience of the pieces you stitch. Your stitching is beautiful!

Thank you so much for your videos, Jackie; every enriching minute is a joy.
You are so welcome!
Thank you Jackie for sharing your love of cross stitch and the quiet time that you offer at the closing of each episode. I especially enjoyed your visual journey in this episode as it brought to the front of my mind memories of special places and journeys that I have been fortunate to experience. I wish you a happy birthday on the 30th ….my first born and my brother in law share that birthdate with you. Thank you, Sue
Thank you so much, Sue! 🩷🩷🩷
Fantastic video.Bridget is beautiful!
I learned and greened a lot from your video. Thank you I
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing another interesting and relaxing video. ❤ Happy stitching.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing more about Brigit and your continued gleanings. It is so fascinating. Thank you also for all your other sharing as well. It is always a journey you lead us on when you do a flossTube and I always enjoy it. I to have discovered Tracie (?) the historian who did the tour of the DAR. She has done other videos that are equally fascinating. Thank you too for your recommendations of new flossTube makers. I have come across some and some not so I will go and research those I haven't yet seen. Keep on traveling and sharing. It is such a joy!!
Thank you!
Jackie, your soothing voice, the deep search for Bridget, your interest in history and background, the connecting of art, appliqué, stitching, the wonderful sharing of other floss tubes, the sacred spaces and lovely meditation prayer all spoke clearly and deeply to me. Thank you for every single part of this flosstube.
I’m glad Archie is recovering, and I love the ‘jammies’ you found him so he did not have to wear that cone. I always feel so bad for doggies when they are subjected to that. 🤗
I love your new stitches, and hope to find a couple of them. Your September Birthday start is a beautiful chart and matches the project bag so very well. I think your new scissors looks lovely, but think you should change the tassel to match the project better. Maybe make a stitched fob of one of the small motifs from the sampler 💛.
Thanks for the new floss tube suggestions. And I love my magnifying light like yours 😊.
Have you viewed Stitching and tea with B? I love her information on 🫖 tea, stitching, and her soothing voice; and like you she shares without trying to sell us something.
This has been a lovely Monday, spending time with you. Peg 💛
Thank you so much for your very thoughtful words. 🩷 You are totally right, those scissors need a different fob. The tassel has a Halloween feel to it and is coming off! So glad the magnifying lamp is working well for you!
Wonderful video. Thank you! I am so glad to hear Archie is doing so well. 🥰 I want to let you know I’m using the Colonial Petites and I truly love them! The eye is easy to thread and the length lets me use most of the thread. Happy stitching.❤
Great! Glad you found some of the needles and that you are liking them. ☺️
Thank you for the journey you took us on at the end! I did notice one of your pictures was very reminiscent of the altar in Bridget Powers. Glad Archie is doing well and have a great week later this month celebrating your birthday and getting some comfort stitching in.

So nice to see you again. I love your progress on the Quilted Witch. My favorite holiday has always been Thanksgiving.
Hi there, I think you might have intended this comment for someone else’s video. I’m not stitching a quilted witch.
This mediation brought me back to when we were outside San Xavier in Tucson. There is a hill nearby where a family built a shrine. We were coming down the steep slope when someone started playing American Indian flute music. I closed my eyes and felt connected to the earth of days long past. A sense of peace and also sadness overwhelmed me. Thank you for sharing some pictures of the sacred places that mean a lot to you.
Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve been to San Xavier, it’s a gorgeous place!
The letters on your red sampler are just beautiful! I'm so enjoying hearing the story of Bridget. I'm glad you're continuing the search for her. Happy to hear Archie is on the mend. Happy birthday, and enjoy your start on that gorgeous new sampler!
Thank you so much!
Hi Jackie, Thank you for sharing so many positive things. I always enjoy watching your videos
Thank you!
Hi Jackie, enjoy you so much dear. Your knowledge and talents are off the charts. Take care ❤
Aww, thank you so much! 🩷🩷🩷
Glad to know your Archie is doing well. My older dog had surgery to remove mammary tumor. My vet (who is THE BEST) sent her home with a cotton/spandex body suit, somewhat similar to Archie’s pajamas in reverse. The suit pulls over her head and her front legs go through sleeves. The back end pulls between the legs and up around the tail, then snaps closed on the back. I think it’s called a Recovery Suit. It prevented her from licking the wound, and acted kind of like a thunder shirt. I used it when my younger dog was spayed. Worked wonderfully both times.
Namaste.
That sounds very much like what Archie had. I had wondered if there was a version for front leg surgeries. I’m glad to know there is! I hope he never needs one, though. 😉 Archie does have a Thundershirt. It comes out of the drawer and goes right on him on July 4th.
Thank you ,once again, Jackie for a lovely visit! I laughed out loud when you said you were still a monogamous stitcher, as you keep adding to your plans...there is so much wonderful temptation out there with all of the creative designs, it's hard to stay focused. Love learning about all the history behind the stitches. And thanks for sharing your idea on using one color for part of a cross & switching colors for the top cross...interesting idea for color play! Hoping you have a lovely Birthday...I bought the same scissors last year for my B-Day! Kindred spirits?
Thank you! I’ll have accumulated some great stash and my friend Sarah says I can have “focus” pieces. I think I can wrap my brain around that. 😂😂😂
Hi Jackie, I enjoy and you inspire me on each of your posts. Thank you so much! Happy stitching!❤
You are so welcome! Thank you!
So lovely to catch up with you and see all your progress and plans. I am quite invested in Bridget too now and I hope you learn more. Thank you for showing off my fox - Kate's fabric is just amazing isn't it! Happy Stitching my friend x
Thank you! And you’re welcome! I’m looking forward to receiving Kate’s linen. That purple is just so pretty. I also got a piece called “Highland Coo.” I couldn’t pass that one up! ☺️
Another lovely episode! 🙂
(And thank you for the sweet shout out! 😘)
You are so welcome!
Thank you for sharing it’s a pleasure watching your floss tube 😊 Happy Stitching
Thanks for watching!
I read the book wonderful story!!
I just discovered you, Jackie - and I’m so glad I did! I wish you much happiness on your upcoming birthday - and many peaceful stitches and ordinary blessings always. 🙏
Thank you so much! Glad to have you here 🩷
Glad Archie is coming along so well. Enjoy seeing your progress on your beautiful sampler.
Thank you so much!
Perfect start to the week Jackie. I love your curiosity and enjoy that you share it with us. It’s ok to stitch a few things but to continue to be a focus stitcher😉 Engagjng with the community I think it must be almost impossible to remain monogamous. Hope to see you next weekend on zoom. take care.
Thank you, friend! Ok, I can be a focus stitcher. That seems a good compromise. 😆 I have my ticket for Saturday. I will see you there. 🧡
Thank you, Jackie, for your beautiful videos! ❤
You are so welcome!
Just when I think I couldn’t love your channel more, I do. Thank you❤
Thank you!
Enjoy your flosstubes so much.
I LOVE searching into the pass of samplers. Have a wonderful week.
Thank you! You too!
I love listening to you while I stitch. 😊 Thanks for sharing your beautiful thoughts and stitching.
You are so welcome!
Always great visits, Jackie. Thank you for taking the time to film and all.
Glad you enjoyed it
The Fall Season is upon us that is for sure (even though here in Phoenix it is still well over 100 degrees). Thanks for another wonderful video.
Thank you! I would positively melt in heat like that. 🫠
Thank you, Jackie, for another beautiful FT! I’m so happy Archie is doing well and keeping his PJs on. I told you earlier that we have had 3 scotties (2 of them were rescued) and we usually had rescued dachshunds at the same time-they are a great combination. Anyway, whenever the scotties got groomed, the groomer always gave our dachshunds a bandana to match the scotties. None of the scotties wanted their bandanas left on and always took the bandanas off of their dachshund sisters-it was pretty funny to witness. They all liked their girls “au naturel.”
😄 that’s a great story about your dogs and the bandanna’s. Archie tolerates one. But only for a very short time!
Thank you again for another history lesson and some great needlework history reference guides. If you don’t already read this magazine, May I suggest Piecework? It’s entirely about historical needlework of many types - cross stitch, embroidery, tatting, bobbin or needle lace, crochet and knitting. Frequently featuring the work from a specific geographical area or time period. There are usually several patterns for needlework based on the articles in the magazine. Even though I don’t practice all the styles of needlework, I do appreciate them and their history. The more you show the Gigi R piece, the more I want to stitch the flower basket! I do appreciate the religious aspects of the sampler, I’m just not drawn to stitch them myself.
Thanks so much! I used to subscribe to Piecework magazine but it’s been awhile since I have looked at it. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll look for it again!
Another beautiful video, your videos always leave me feeling so peaceful and relaxed. Thanks
My pleasure 😊
Thank you once again for a lovely video that is informative, inspirational, and so refreshing. Glad little Archie is doing well. Your pics of sacred places brought to mind the Arbroath Abbey in Scotland. Have you ever been there? I felt such peace in the midst of the sacred ruins. An amazing feeling! Thank you.
Thank you! I haven’t been to that Abbey. The Abbey that was in the video was on the isle of Iona in Scotland, though. ☺️
Namaste😌
🙏
Hello Jackie, nice to visit and learn from your interesting information about so many things. I stitch 1 project at a time & simple patterns on 14ct or 16ct aida. I have one of those Singer boxes, it has tools and feet for the machine... Happy Stitchin'
Thanks for sharing! 🩷
Thank you Jackie! I so look forward to your FlossTube. Love watching all you progress and getting Archie updates. Just back from my annual trip to The Attic, where a cut a VERY wide path. Was so lucky that both Jean and Carolyn (sp?) were there and both took time to help and encourage new sampler stitcher. Saturday got to meet @OliveGreen, what a treat - anyone one traveling to Mesa seek her out!
Wonderful! The Attic is such a special place, isn’t it? With very special people who work there. 🩷
Thank you such mindful videos…really enjoy them. The ends are so relaxing. Mary in alaska
You are so welcome!
Thank you Jackie you are truly a treasure ❤
☺️
Jackie, thanks so much for another in-depth flosstube. I very much enjoy your company. Your search for Bridget Power has my whole-hearted support and encouragement. I wonder if you might be heading slightly down the wrong path with the idea that the little round elements in the sampler are rosary beads. I'd like to suggest that they are merely Bridget's representation of the curly tendrils of the sweet pea plant, especially since they seem to only appear near the sweet peas. She may have filled the void in the curl for contrast. Just a thought. I'm looking forward to your next video.
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Those little round elements are in other places in and around the basket of flowers. As well, they are filled in with white stitches which are called for in the chart. So they might be just a design element to fill in space but I prefer to honk of them as beads.
Thank you for another truly pleasant video, Jackie. 😍 I thought you might like to know my soothing connected place, a place I can fully envision. It is sitting on a driftwood log next to my husband during sunset on the shore of Lake Superior. We are both born, raised and lifelong Michiganders, and there is nothing like the majesty of that Great Lake and our connectedness to it. Thank you for giving me the time to remember it today. 💚Michele
Wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing, Michele! I can almost hear the water rhythmically lapping on the shore.
Another comforting & educational & lovely video!!!! I loved your sacred spaces pictures with the meditation. I’ve not seen in person any of those places but they did feel sacred looking at them. Have you been to Sedona Arizona?, one of my sons lives very near their & each time I go there I feel the sacredness of the space. I’m glad you are going to make something special out of the antique sewing puzzle box. I too would like to try that after I see what you will do. I have two of them. I’m hoping to go to Floriligum some Saturday this month. Thank You so much for what you give us through your videos!!!❤❤❤😊
Thank YOU! And yes, I have been to Sedona, but just in passing when I drove from the Grand Canyon down to Phoenix. I haven’t had the opportunity to spend any time there.
I have the B. Power pattern and I am enjoying the journey you are on. I think the circles are rosary beads too. A piece like this surely inspires prayer, and she may have been praying Hail Mary's as she stitched.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy stitching Bridget. 🩷
Thank you Jackie! Great video!
I’m loving following your discovery of Bridget and your progress. Antionette is beautiful. I was in Washington DC in August and got to the DAR Museum. I had seen Karen Coombs flosstube that she mentioned the Sewn in America book. The exhibit is wonderful. I picked up the book of course. What really excited me was the sampler of Julia Spafford (page 74 in the book). It is a New York State sampler. I’m from NYC but now live upstate near where they think the sampler is from. I took numerous pictures and may try to reproduce it. I was also able to have a tour of their period rooms, which is only viewable on a tour.
Ooh, I’m jealous you got to visit the DAR exhibit. Those drawers of treasures intrigued me as much as the other things on display! It would be nice if it could be a traveling exhibit. More people need to see it.
Jackie, I love your curiosity about Bridget. I too would love to know more about her and feel certain that the key to finding her is out there and it will be found. Not sure why I’m so sure, but I feel it in my bones. I haven’t read all the comments so I’m unsure if anyone has said this, but appliqué using pieces of chintz to build a picture is called Broderie Perse, and it was popular in Europe several hundred years ago. One more piece of knowledge for you.
Thank you! With all of our collected energy focused on Bridget, we have to find her! ☺️ Thanks for telling me about Broderie Perse. I hadn’t ever heard that name, now I have a new thing to research. 🤓😁🩷
Great video, as always. I myself love to work on one project only. However, I have worked into a habit of a large and small stitch now. The small helps to rest my mind and clear the overwhelming feelings I get at times when working on the large piece. Thank you so much for your effort.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank You, Jackie! I enjoyed watching the video!
You are so welcome!
Thank you for the lovely photos and beautiful prayer. Also, for all the info you so willingly share. Your stitching is just beautiful. I understand we have a mutual friend- Miss SewmeSarah. Another of our sweet, kind, talented sisters. 😘
Thank you so much! Yes, Sarah is a gem. I saw her video where she talked about your visit with her. How wonderful you got to meet in person. ☺️ I hope to meet her next year in London.
