    hello. Do you have a simulation with piperazine activator (a-mdea)?

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I am afraid not. I haven't prepared MDEA-PZ simulation yet.

    also the flash drum is a three phase separator, for removing hydrocarbon

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can replace the two phase with three phase.

    which reaction set did yo add, I am curious most of the reaction are ionic reactions, can we add ionic reactions in aspen hysys, how ?

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      HYSYS adds reaction automatically when Acid Gas property package is used. You can see all the reactions in the properties section > reaction set

    in my case the absorber column has a top packing section on top, below that there are 14 trays and below that there are again 2 more packed sections. In that case how do i correctly define the number of stages ?

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Packing also has theoretical number of stages. You have to input these stages. Moreover, you can define the geometry in column internals in more detailed manner.

    Can i use this simulation with presence of H2S in the feed? I noticed your feed does not have H2S.

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, we can add H2S in feed as well. There will be no complications.

    THANK YOU, JUST A QUESTION IF I NEED TO USE MIXED AMINE TO OBTAIN THE BEST PERFORMANCE WHAT CAN I DO? MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can add different amines in your component list. After doing this, you will have the option add the concentration of both amines in the make up block. You can run the case study to evaluate the model performance by varying the additives composition in the amine solution.

    actually the flash drum is integrated to a scrubber column at the top section of the drum having a lean amine inlet for scrubbing H2S coming out in the flashed gas, so how can use that in the simulation

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no such equipment like this im HYSYS.
      However, you can add flash vessel and column individually and the vapours of the flash vessel may enter in the column bottom to strip out the H2S.

    can u plz explain on converging the stream after connecting the recycle stream

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you facing any issue?
      If the error message appears due to recycle, it shows the variable that causing the issue. Try following steps:
      1. Remove the recycle block
      2. Make sure your simulation is in active mode.
      3. Analyze the both stream that has to be recycle.
      4. Ensure no major difference in parameters between the streams
      5. If the difference is large then the recycle will not converge, so try to reduce the difference by manipulating the parameters.
      If the issue persist write us: support@chemiopedia.com.

    Thank you! Maybe a silly question but is this a rate-based model or an equilibrium-based model?

    • @Chemiopedia

      Both.

    what is the meaning of shell in series ?

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shell in series means two exchangers are installed in series. The shell out of 1st will enter the shell of second. same for tube side fluid.

    • @Chemiopedia

      In stripper, the feed enters at the top stage. 1_Main Tower means the feed is at the top most tray.

    can you explain the SET on booster pump to MDEA for temperature control

    • @Chemiopedia
      @Chemiopedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      SET ensures that the temperature of the stream is equal to the Lean MDEA stream entering the tower. The difference in the stream can cause convergence failure when you will install the recycle.
