Very cool to see, thanks for sharing. We live on the ICW in Ormond Beach and really enjoy seeing the boat traffic on the river. There’s been a tremendous amount of pleasure boat traffic heading south this week? We appreciate seeing the river from a different perspective, thanks for sharing!
@@mikecolesvids Thx, glad you emjoy the video series! We are coming back in March to explore around the St Johns and ICW corridors with our pickup camper, using your great state parks and boondocking.
@@mikecolesvids Anastasia is already booked. Will check out Tomoka too. I checked out your channel and subd as well, great scenery and vicarious thrills!
If you would have anchored in that spot near kingley plantation on the weekend you would have found yourself surrounded by weekend warriors that love to hang out on those sand bars.
@@michaeljenkins4895 Understood. It would be good another time perhaps (and another boat!). Our original intent wasn't even to get as far as Amelia Island. It was pretty windy and exposed for our little boat as it was. The whole ICW would be great to cruise and explore.
Well you asked I have a casual friend who is a big time architect in Jacksonville and I can confirm lots of big time very quite money all along Jacksonville Beach. I have a civil war relative Buried in Jacksonville by the name of Jonathan Dickinson there books written about him the most notable is titled Dickison and his men. I gave my first edition autographed copy to the University of Florida in Gainesville for preservation. Next there is a book published called the steamboat of the Ochlawaha it's a pictorial very interesting reading they played the water from Palt🎉
Thx for the insight on Jacksonville Beach. I often reflect that a "poor" man on a little boat gets to see the same sights as a "rich" one on his yacht, or from his mansion's dock-side pool! I would like to explore the Ocklawaha to the dam and then the canal to the upper area. Maybe a couple years. Pictures of those little steam excursion boats are amazing. I will look up Dickinson, thx.
This was a great series. A really fun watch
i see you found my fishing spots always nice to see people enjoying the river good luck to you and the miss
Hope you are having a great time John Palatka
@@JohnHanos We're having a good summer, boating & otherwise. Give Toby & Charlie a pat on the head for us!
Love the video!
I think your Salt Water Research Assistant needs to be paid more for her services😁
Well done on this series
I kind of grew up on that river. My daddy built a pontoon boat out of airplane parts. Good memories.
@@Queencreole504 Sounds like an interesting boat, and an interesting Dad too! You are fortunate.
@ I am very fortunate ☺️
