Tried it on my 2014 Tiguan, thank you so much for sharing! It took quite a few bangs, but with some extra mustard, 20 minutes of banging, IT WORKED! Way to save me $700!
Do you know what causes this? Is this something that is bound to happen over time or would it of had to be tampered with. I’m a little baffled as to why this has happened (fully retracted) and I rarely use it. Thanks for your advice
If you paid any attention, you would have heard that the solution I dismissed was slamming the car seat, which I tried, but it didn't work. Way to show that you didn't watch the video, or that you have poor comprehension.

Glad it worked out for you!
Hey mate! Greetings from 2024! Your technique just saved my 2019 Tiguan! Thanks for this video!
@@yevgenshatalov glad it helped!
2022 Atlas. Same issue. That actually does help. I'll try that method this weekend. Thanks for posting!
Hope it helps!
Thanks so much I released my i10 rear centre belt with 3 taps with the rubber mallet couldn't believe it thanks again
@@nickeynon4086 Gald it worked!
I will try that, good work 👍👍👍
It helped me. Thanks a lot bro
Awesome. Tapped on the back with a mallet and came loose in seconds. Didn’t even need to take the seat out. Life safer.
I have a 2021 Atlas.
Thanks bro, may u be blessed
Thanks mate - appreciate you posting this.
No worries, hope it helps!
Thanks! Helped out alot

It seems quite common judging by all the comments. May happen, may not. The point is that we found a cheap, easy fix.
Thank you!!
The centre seat belt on my Nissan Leaf is stuck down (unbuckled position). Could this help?
I don't know. You're not losing anything but time by trying.
I got the same problem on my VW Jetta 09 I hope this work
Simpl fix. Thanks
You're welcome. Hope it helps!
Does the bottom of the seat belt need to be removed in order for this to work?
Probably not. Try it out and see. You have nothing to lose.
I tried it but didn't work for me 😢
me neither and i’ve hit the f out of it too
South African? Subscribed
Does one have to take out the whole seat to fix it?
Try with the seat installed. I don't see why it wont work.
What year and model is this
2016, but it shouldn't matter. If the seat mechanism operates the same it should work the same.
What a pointless video. The solution is the same solution he dismisses at the beginning of the video, a mallet.
