This is extremely misleading and should be re-uploaded with corrections or removed. This is not a repair, this is how to disable a function of the seat belt, a critical life saving device. Dangerously misleading titles; if this hasn’t killed someone, it will.

The pink one is just to control the loose webbing. Take note that this is just for emergency cases. You better buy a new one as soon as possible, it's not expensive though.
@@taharseba5379 it's not the locking mechanism, it's the tensioner. In my video I said that the solution is temporary. You do it only as you travel going to the store to buy a new seat belt. It's better to have it in the meantime than nothing at all. Thank you anyway.

By the way that particular part that I removed controls loose webbing. This method is for emergency use only esp. when you go out at night where auto part stores are close... I advise to buy a new one, it's affordable.
You said that this is for "emergency cases" but doing this "fix" is the same thing as not having a seatbelt at all...so why even bother with this "fix"? Just don't wear the seatbelt. Also, your description says that this is a "repair". This is not repairing anything. A repair would be fixing the problem yet you haven't fixed anything here. It clearly shows how incredibly little you understand about mechanics and they work. How on earth could you even imagine that this flimsy litte bit of plastic he removed had anything to do with the impact mechanism in a car crash. In a car crash a human can weigh tons! In a car crash of 2 km/h a piece of plastic like this would break off from a baby`s weight of 5 kilo if it was working the way you think. You clearly have no idea..
The actual catch mechanism's teeth are made of metal and it is hidden on the inside faces of the metal brackets and is part of the metal spindle on which the seatbelt resides on. 😊
