I cannot agree more. The Olympus 45mm F1.8 is a little gem of a lens. I use it on my second-hand GX-1 body and get great images, even in the studio when I don't want to use my DSLR's. I would even say that the 45mm is getting on par with the magical Limited prime lenses I have for my Pentax bodies for serious work. So much so, it is the perfect back-up to the K-1 and 77mm F.18 Limited at a fraction of the cost. It really is the "law of diminishing returns", yes the Leica designed 42.5mm as superb, but it is big, heavy, yet the Olympus 45, is just small light and just has that X factor on IQ for a fraction of the cost.
that Oly 45mm f1.8 was my favorite lens on the featherweight Lumix G6 . When i moved to the G85 , i took the Pana 42.5mm f1.7 instead because of the closer minimum distance and flatter field, more suited for general photography . But i still have the 45 and would probably use it again for a portrait session.
Absolutely love my "new" GX9 that I bought second hand from a local camera store. It had 113 shutter count when I bought it...and came with as 12-60 kit lens, battery and a the grip extension base plate (I have big hands, so this is very nice). All together...a whopping US$360 (the owner gave me an $65 break when I mentioned that I worked nearby...I did not even ask...how cool is that!). It is my favorite M4/3. I usually pair it with the Lumix 20/1.7. If I really need blurry backgrounds, I have over 30 "fast" vintage lenses, which also do well when mounted via a focal reducer. Of course, these vintage lenses are not little or light, save for something like a Jupiter-8 (50/2) or Jupiter-3 (50/1.5). The later lenses are relatively small, light (aluminum bodies) and deliver pleasing results to my eye. Yes, I do like manual focus when I can take my time; the GX9 has a very nice viewfinder w/focus peaking...so I am used to this process. [PS: I almost always buy used cameras from people that bought brand new and never used the damn thing...these deals are always around...if you have a bit of patience.]
I have the same camera and love it as well (although mine is called the GX7 mark iii). I bought one of the last remaining new ones with the 15mm 1.7 Leica lens kit, and it’s just so great. I love it so much that I am seriously considering getting a S5IIX later this year, based upon my experience with the GX7iii. Great ergonomics, nice menu system, beautiful to look at (I have the silver one). Plus there are tons of lenses available. I haven’t even really played around with the monochrome simulations yet; just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day. Panasonic is doing great these days.
My favorite tiny camera is my Sony NEX-5T (APS-C) with the tiny 16mm f/2.8 lens, or if I want blurry backgrounds the FE 50 f/1.8 looks great! And all three of these were relatively inexpensive!
I have loads of cameras but, I used my mates Pen pl9 and it handles and just feels great in the hand. I bought the early Olympus OMs for the same reason. Pens just have that tactile feel and you can use most glass on them, adapted. Last thing, I’m fed up with the crap written about sensors, and full frame, etc. Camera manufacturers just love manipulating the soft brained public who love jargon. I love this mans straight talking easy going views that just make sense. As photography and graphics have been my business professionally for almost all of my working life, “A good big un will always beat a good little un”. From film to sensor, to everything in photography as I know it, the less you blow it up, grain or pixel, noise, whatever, the more there is the more it affects the image, good or bad, is subjective. For 9/10s of the imaging world, massive reproduction size aside, cinema screen size, billboard posters etc, it’s a 6x5 world, that almost anything can shoot. Get the shot, and screw the sensor!
Absolutely love your videos. First of all, it's obvious you know your stuff - but at the same time you talk about real life usage and things that actually matter. You show plenty example pics of what you actually shoot. Great helpful content with a solar personality... Keep doing them!!
My favorite daily carry is the G7X and it runs circles around any phone photo hahahah, Im learning so much from you! Im glad I found your channel... looks like I now have my eyes on what to upgrade to next!
Yes , I have a Complete set of Rokinon Lenses, as when I shoot a Film , I want color continuity throughout every shot, couldn't afford a set of Ziess Primes or Tokina Primes ,are way above my Budget,....... Though you are right about the Voigtlander lens , beautiful Glass, and great build, I will eventually get the 25mm f/0.95 for around $650..... Great shallow depth of Field and Great low light capabilities........Love shooting at Night.......Thanks for all your great Insight into all the Gear, you are Brilliant!!!!!!!...........
I love your camera videos. I have the 850 and I have an Olympus Pen F. I love both! The Pen F if I want a viewfinder and more control and the 850 when I want to put it in a pocket
i love watching most of Marcus videos, i am also a big fan of compact Panasonic Lumix cameras, and some canon compact cameras but not the Nikon, but this one dose not sute me for my photography, i recommend his health videos, that is what i first started watching marcus's videos many years ago, he has a great personality and he tells you the truth about nutrition, no bs in his videos, just the raw truth and raw foods. raw food and phototgraphy are my top loves of my life, and that is why i recommend his videos.
I really like micro 4/3. I got a like new Olympus EP-5 with 5 axis stabilization for under $300 and the Zuiko 45mm for $200. The best thing about a mature system like micro 4/3 is that you can usually find good deals on barely used gear. I even found an EM-1 with battery grip and a shutter count of 2200 for $299. Tough to find deals like that in APS-C or full frame. Your videos help put the fun back in photography. Thanks for that.
I have the GX800/GX850 and I regularly use it with the 12-32 kit lens, the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 and the Panasonic 42.5 f1.7, it's an awesome compact system. I have the Panasonic G7 and a couple other lenses for situations that don't require such a small setup or when I need a viewfinder and/or bigger lenses. I'm sure that FF have his advantages but I love the Micro 4/3 system.
You missed out the rather lovely but tiny Olympus Pen E-PL7 which generally out-scores the GX850/GX800, plus it has a flash hot shoe which also mounts the optional EVF VF-4, plus body-IS to stabilise those little unstabilised lenses. Try it with the pancake Panasonic Lumix GX Vario PZ14-42.
I have used Canon's 660D and the super new 90D. Honestly, I like the body stile, very substantial and all... But when I hold my Lumix G85 with the Zuiko 45mm, I always feel at home. The balance, the sharpness, the speed, micro 4/3 is something special.
I have a olympus PEN-F with me all the time. Such a powerful camera. Evf, 5axis IBIS,live composite, high resolution mode etc. With the cheap 45mm 1.8 or one of the pancake lens you're set.
Markus, Thanks for this video , you are a tour de force on the cam/video arena, i am big admirer of your videos and work, besides you being a hell of a photographer, keep it up buddy, you ROCK!!!
Wow. What a collection. Nice explanation of the cameras. I can see your passion for photography is amazing. Enjoyed viewing this video and hearing your insight. Cheers!
I have the GM5. It is the kind of camera you keep. I moved on later to APS-C then now Full Frame but if I had the lens that is available now I probably would have been happy with MFT. I moved on for better low light performance. Once I find the lens that I am looking for I will carry my GM5 as a backup to my Full Frame. I do have the Panasonic 42.5mm 1.7 which is a really good lens which is why I have kept it with my kit 12-32 (not very good) but the 42.5 (good for portraits) is too tight so it limited what I could do with it. I have been looking for a fast prime to stick on to my small GM5. I was thinking maybe the Olympus 25mm 1.8?
How about LX100 and LX100ii ? Your small camera review is fantastic, but needs an update to include Panasonic LX100ii, GX85/80, GX9; and Olympus EM10ii, EM10iii, EM5ii, EM5iii; and whatever Ricoh offers that's good; IMHO.
I have the Olympus 45mm f1.8. I never bought the Panasonic 42.5mm f1.2 because I don't have room in my camera bag. As a wedding photographer I bring two backpacks and that's enough. My main go to lens is the Olympus 12-40mm f2.8 and second lens is the Panasonic 35-100mm f2.8 and if there is something else I want to get then I'll pull some of my other lens out of my bag. For weddings always bring three cameras and three flashes and a bunch of lens so I have backup gear to backup gear. I've even done a few engagement shoots with my Olympus PEN E-PL5 and Olympus 17mm f2.8, Olympus 25mm f1.7 and Olympus 45mm f1.8 and I bring the little flash also that came with the camera.
Those were all discussed in part two of this video. The 42.5 1.2 is not a small lightweight lens. The Sigma 30 1.4 is a great lens, but best for APSC, again, not a "smallest lightest" category for MFT th-cam.com/video/sRZDIGFxf4s/w-d-xo.html
@@MarkusPix that's for sure ! The smallest lightest 20mm 1.7 is an amazing pancake lens but a bit slow to focus. I offered the 30mm 1.4 to my wife and the two advantages are that it only uses the center of the lens so it's extremely sharp on m43 and the other one is that 60mm (30x2) becomes a better option than the conventional 50mm focal length, just remove the lens hood and it becomes quite compact. Markus, your videos are awesome, just saw the one about your career, you are amazing, keep it going !
Great informational video! I am an amateur photographer looking for an affordable way to take great pictures of my kids. Graduations, proms, and other special event pics are adding up. I'll be watching all your videos. Leaning toward the Lumix G85 after watching your video.
I got rid of the Panny gm1, missed it so much I got a used panny gx850 (why I am here). Main camera are my nikon z6 and d750. This gx850 is the same size as nikon 1 s1, but takes way better picture. Sadly they haven't updated the Gm1/ gx line in a while.
Nice shot of Mike James Bride figure at 14:11 if you giving heavy lenses away I'll take the Lumix 42.5 1.2 shooting an action film with a GH5 and it would be a great addition to the production. Great video. Best Regards John from New Zealand
I just wanna say you’re the most reliable guy when comes to this subject here on TH-cam! Now I’m contemplating If should get the Panasonic Lumix GX850 and Olympus 45mm f1.8? haha What’s going to happen now to my a7iii and a5100!? Also I find it so awesome that this video was uploaded during my birthday last year! Anyway, thank you so much! Again, you’re the best! 👍
If you have an A7iii, I wouldn't trade that for a GX850, that's like trading a Ferrari for a Chevy. Sure both get the job done, but... The A7 has a much bigger sensor so you can easily get amazing depth of field and sharpness, plus it has a great electronic viewfinder. I have the GX850 as a travel buddy when I want the lightest smallest thing possible that can do blurry backgrounds, but the A7 is more serious for pro stuff. Why just have one camera? Have one for each purpose like I do
Hi Markus, Newbie here. Love the knowledge you possess. I'm so new to photography you can smell the leather. I'm working on a puppet music video and only have a go pro 3+ and a go pro knockoff and hoping it works well. What I lack in income I exceed in imagination and talent. Inspiring to hear you talk about cameras and camera related materials. Hoping to learn from you and possibly get one of the small camera's you mentioned like the Panasonic Lumix. Retired now so don't have much income, but you never know what happens in life. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. I enjoy watching your video's...
@@MarkusPix was not expecting a reply! this video was recommend to me first and I later saw your 2nd video for "small cameras for blurry background" where you actually showed the sigma Cheers!
Thanks for making such a great video. I am looking around for a small camera for the same reason and I therefore got the answer here! Surely not the type of point and shoot camera mainly for street photography but a Micro Four Third with those tiny lenses (Olympus 45mm f1.8 as well as the Pancake Lumix 20mm f1.7)
Awesome! I’ll get the G880 who needs a viewfinder.. I wear glasses so I avoid them. Small camera, Micro four third’s sensor and a good lens is the way to go. It’s interchangeable so that’s a plus. I’m so tired of those tiny weeny sensor cameras with no blurry background and so much noise...
I've got the Sony a6300 with the 35 and 50mm 1.8 OSS lenses. And ya, I like the 18-135 OSS. Lightweight superzoom that won't kill my neck. I also have some bigger DSLRs, both are Pentax. I really am looking to get something in the m4/3 camp in the future, even if it lacks a EVF. As far as 1 inch sensors, I thoroughly enjoy my Lumix ZS-100. It's my favorite when I don't feel like lugging the bigger bodies, and want something with greater DOF but need better quality than the tiny sensors for prints to give to friends and family.
Cool video, it would have been interesting to see how the Ricoh gr3 would have done. That’s a very nice tiny camera. I hope to get one someday. Keep up the good work
It is not possible for the sensor size to determine depth of field. Background blur, or bokeh, is not dependent on sensor size. It is dependent on the focal length of the lens. For example, a 50 mm lens on a micro four thirds sensor will give the same apparent field of view as a 100 mm on a full frame, but it will have greater depth of field. This is not because of sensor size. It is because of the different focal length of the lens. In this case, to get the same depth of field as the full frame lens, you need to increase the aperture (lower the f#) by a factor of 2.
This is great content. Respect for using and honestly recommend best value stuff being obviously able to afford everything there is on the market ;-) 45/1.8 will be soon mine for my g85.
Markus....you always talk about the Olympus 45, and you like the gx850 (no IBIS)....you ever try the Lumix 42.5? Its pretty sharp, and it has Lens Stabilization!
Have you thought of offering some Udemy courses on how to set up scenes with smartphones and then more advanced ones with these great cameras? I'll see what I can learn with my smartphone more, first. Sorry if that's too low quality for someone so advanced. My dinosaur camera is a 35 mm camera with no video. Haven't used it for decades.
Love your videos you always on top of your topic you nail the information that usually me and other are looking for.thanks so MUCH for your amazing helpfully videos.HAVE A GREAT DAY!
You should also try the Panasonic LX100 series, yes, it is not lens interchangeable, but it comes with a high quality 24-75mm equiv F1.7-2.8 zoom lens!!! But this small m4/3 camera doesn't come with a flip screen only a fix lcd, and also can't do audio line in, thats its weakness,.
Smallest that I use is the GM1 or GM5 with Panasonic 42.5mm f1.7 as it has image stabilization. The Olympus 45mm f1.8 does not have stabilization. I also have the large Panasonic 42.5mm f1.2. I get better results with that than the smaller lenses though you apparently did not find much difference per your post?
I have several 42.5 lenses but they are HUGE and heavy. The whole point of having a tiny camera and a tiny lens is so it is feather light and tiny for traveling and carrying around or hiking. If I was doing a professional photoshoot, I would of course use all different equipment.
Haha I wish! They don't create blurry backgrounds with full- body people shots. That's like asking for a stripper playmate that cooks gourmet meals, cleans and discusses astrophysics.
Hi Marcus! A few days ago we were at a Swedish Julbord (think Smorgasbord at cristmas). I took my GM1 with a Leica 12-60mm. So good :-) Yeah, that's the GM1 that actually is your "fault"...
A compact APS-C mirrorless with a Canon 50mm 1.8 (nifty fifty) slapped on it should be another good option for that rich bokeh, accentuated color & edge contrast look as well, right? That lens always delivers really solid background blur once you open past 4/5.6 (depending on distance), it weighs practically nothing and is nearly as flat as a pancake.
Do you have a . Recommendation for a camera that doesn't shoot video I feel like I'm overpaying for video that I didn't use . I would pay the same price for a camera if it is worth the value.. mostly shout black and white city building some street photography. Thx for all the info.
I wanted a good all-around camera. I have a Lumix G3, but wanted one of the newer Panasonic bodies with built in image stablization. I picked up a used G85. I'm not sure I want or need a second smaller camera, but the G3 with a small, fastish prime lens might fill the bill on that.
The G3 inconsiderably bigger than these. I have a G7, great lightweight full feature camera, but definitely not in the small category. Its bigger than a Sony A6400 which is APSC
What do you think about the Sony A5100 or A6100? I still use a sony NEX 5T or 5N which is very compact and takes great pictures. I've used with some vintage lenses that are cheap and really blur the background. alternatively, you can use the Sigma lenses which are very sharp and blur the background.
Awesome video! I have a Lumix GM5 camera and an Olympus 45mm lens. I did not know the two paired together made such a wonderful combination. I am going to put them together right now. Thank you so much :) I am definitely subscribing to your channel for more cool information.
GM5 is an awesome camera! I love it so much I got 2 of them and used it as my main camera on my European vacation th-cam.com/video/vj2eji4ms5A/w-d-xo.html
The Lumix G100 is smaller, lighter, has double the ISO, a fully articulated screen instead of just tilting, a much higher resolution viewfinder, higher rez LCD screen, and at least some form of stabilization. There's a reason they stopped making it but the G100 still goes on.
I forced myself to go up to a tourist whose camera was so ridiculously small, I had to find out more. She was rocking an Olympus OMD10 Mark ii with the 17mm Zuiko lens. The camera has a silent shutter, 4K and is tiny, tiny, tiny. Suggest you take a look, I was blown away, can't wait to get me a couple of these babies with the 17, 45, and 75mm lenses. Oh, and it's super cheap too.
edit: just saw your videos on the nx500. i'll leave my comment online anyway since i love this camera system so much. with those big lenses there isn't really a point for small cameras... samsung nx500 with 30mm/f2 pancake. it doesn't get smaller than this. even though they left the camera business years ago, i still didn't find a worthy successor that is as compact and ergonomic. makes a perfect couple with the nx1
Thanks for the great video. BUT, what about the row of one-shots on the left of the frame? I really want to have something the size of a smartphone that I can do the soft/blurry/aperture background video. -Frank
The GX85 is still a solid camera, I have one to compliment an Olympus EM1.2. The EM10 line is also pretty small, but it isn't going to contest the GX850 and definitely not the GM1/GM5. The Canon M cameras like the M10, M100, and M200 are all really small but pretty good stills cameras. The M100 seems to have gained some favor for street photography and the like where it's not highspeed action and size is more important. The M-mount is basically end of life at this point with Canon shifting both APS-C and Full frame mirrorless to the same mount (good for the consumer, no complaints here). There are still enough quality lenses in what's available for a good experience. Fuji kind of proves that you don't need 600 random lenses, you just need a small collection of solid lenses that work well. Personally, I'm a fan of rangefinder style brick bodies and would like an updated GM camera. The GM5 was and is basically my favorite small camera.
Hello Marek. The Samsung NX mini would be a much more desirable choice. It is much flatter and lighter and has a sensor almost 3X bigger than the EX2F, plus the NX mini has touch screen and face detection which the EX does not. The Max ISO is also 300% higher and you can change lenses on the NX mini. Here are two videos mentioning the NX mini th-cam.com/video/kGXL_D3F8YM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/oOkqoOcoH-k/w-d-xo.html
Thanks! Just found this channel. Watched just a few yet. If you skip a few of the latest features in these cameras, I think a honarable mention should go to Lumix GM1. Maybe the smallest functional camera with a exchangeable lens. So sexy!!!
Hi Markus have you tried the Pentax Q - fun little camera - build in nd filter and leafshutter. ITS tiny look it up :-) Oh yeah and it has interchangeable lenses
Just got the same set up after watching your video... lumix gx850 with the olympus 45mm f/1.8. Great potraits

You got it, Paul.
A pen-f would have been great to see I'm thinking of selling my x-t3
And getting the pen f
Amen to that!!! No 4k video but i shoot stills only so i don't care...

Ricoh GRIII is an AMAZING camera. Only limitation is the fixed lens with 2.8F. But its so sharp and offers wonderful colors, IBIS and a APSC sensor.

RayT I have the oly 25 1.8 and it is great.
GX80 + any 42.5mmv1.7 or 1.2 / 45mm 1.2 or 1.8 / 56mm 1.4 or even the shorter and amazing Sigma 30mm 1.4 are a fantastic combo for creamy portraits
I love your photography philosophy, great video, thanks for the inspiration
Great video thanks......I am looking at the GX850 but heard focus motor was noisy in video with kit lens ?
yeah a little, but I always record my audio separate anyways
Great informational video! I am an amateur photographer looking for an affordable way to take great pictures of my kids. Graduations, proms, and other special event pics are adding up. I'll be watching all your videos. Leaning toward the Lumix G85 after watching your video.
I got rid of the Panny gm1, missed it so much I got a used panny gx850 (why I am here). Main camera are my nikon z6 and d750. This gx850 is the same size as nikon 1 s1, but takes way better picture. Sadly they haven't updated the Gm1/ gx line in a while.
I love my GM1, so I got 2 of them, and also 2 GM5. Did you see this th-cam.com/video/vj2eji4ms5A/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for testing it all. Great video!
Thanks Markus! I love how you took the time to compare everything and give examples. I know what I'll be asking for, for Christmas!
Nice shot of Mike James Bride figure at 14:11 if you giving heavy lenses away I'll take the Lumix 42.5 1.2 shooting an action film with a GH5 and it would be a great addition to the production. Great video. Best Regards John from New Zealand
Yeah my favorite desk ornament! :-)
Have one for each purpose like I do
MarkusPix that makes sense! Thank you so much! :)
not the news I was hoping for, but I learned a lot, thanks!
11:05 that sound fx really got me
P.S. - I use my vintage bokeh killers on my Fujifilms & Sony A7 when EyE wants full frame, works both ways to varying degrees.
My favorite travel camera is the Sony RX10 MKIII. 24 to 600mm, 3.8k video, good audio with ext mic.
Love your stuff - your video on cutting wind noise was a life-saver!
Glad it helped!
for aps-c users, I really suggest the Sigma 56mm 1.4
I believe it came out after this video, and versus the sony 50mm 1.8 its significantly sharper

@@MarkusPix was not expecting a reply!
this video was recommend to me first and I later saw your 2nd video for "small cameras for blurry background" where you actually showed the sigma
Cheers!
And now we have the Panasonic G100. Still tiny and yet amazingly capable.
Yes th-cam.com/video/35KV31_CT5I/w-d-xo.html and G100 20scenarios
th-cam.com/video/oBp5dMnAJ9M/w-d-xo.html
MarkusPix I have seen your excellent reviews of the G100 and I highly recommend people to watch them.
Fuji XT20 or XT30 with a 23 F2 or 35F2...Amazing bokeh and so small + EVF and Hotshoe and so much more ! Also price to match Markus
Am inspired by all you do. ..... From Nigeria
Fujifilm also has some really small cameras :) like X-T10, X-T20 or X-E1, X-E2 even X70 and they have APS-C size sensor
THIS is exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you going for the olympus em10 with that lens
Love my GM5
Just wish there was an update.
It’s a pity Panasonic discontinued the LUMIX GM5, it was smaller than the gx850 and it had an evf as well. I’m starting to regret selling mine..
I loved having mine in Europe th-cam.com/video/vj2eji4ms5A/w-d-xo.html
best video ever from 2000's look. I love it 🥰 😻 😍
Very informative review. Definitely, encourages me to delve deeper into M43 cams. Thanks for this.
Keep up the good work
i got the GX800/50 for only $200 new on clearance! With the pana 12-42 kit lense
Score!!!
@@MarkusPix thnx you omo
Its pretty sharp, and it has Lens Stabilization!
th-cam.com/video/0eDOCAokkko/w-d-xo.html I never use them, so I gave one away th-cam.com/video/APYfgYuBpTc/w-d-xo.html
@@MarkusPix I am not referring to that "Beast"....im talking about the Lumix 42.5 1.7. It doesnt have an OIS switch, but it is Optical Stabilization.
Well I did make a video on how to use a cell phone to light a photoshoot lol th-cam.com/video/Joe4xR9rbJQ/w-d-xo.html
another great video!!! Photo ROCKSTAR!
Does anyone know the Health Video of Cara in the desert?

@@MarkusPix You rock Markus! Thanks!
Fuji x100f! Love mine to carry anywhere!
Love your videos you always on top of your topic you nail the information that usually me and other are looking for.thanks so MUCH for your amazing helpfully videos.HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Have you tried the Pentax q? Fits easily in the pocket and has tiny lenses
The F numbers sound good but it doesn't really create blurry backgrounds unfortunately when shooting people
@@MarkusPix But it is already the best in the fix zoom lens compact camera market.
@@MarkusPix Thanks. Agree. Love that GM5 - carry 2 with me at all times with 2 small primes attached.
Great video! Thoughts on the Panasonic LX100 and similar non ILC's would have been nice to see too.
I love it
A compact APS-C mirrorless with a Canon 50mm 1.8 (nifty fifty) slapped on it should be another good option for that rich bokeh, accentuated color & edge contrast look as well, right? That lens always delivers really solid background blur once you open past 4/5.6 (depending on distance), it weighs practically nothing and is nearly as flat as a pancake.
Marcus loved the video you just made awesome very educational thank you for the invite
Do you have a . Recommendation for a camera that doesn't shoot video I feel like I'm overpaying for video that I didn't use . I would pay the same price for a camera if it is worth the value.. mostly shout black and white city building some street photography. Thx for all the info.
Wow! Excellent videos.Thank you Markus.Cheers.
Great video. I can't believe how many cameras you have! Really good content, Subbed!
What do you think about the Sony A5100 or A6100? I still use a sony NEX 5T or 5N which is very compact and takes great pictures. I've used with some vintage lenses that are cheap and really blur the background. alternatively, you can use the Sigma lenses which are very sharp and blur the background.
Great video! Thanks so much!!! Now I can only find the Lumix GX-880. Looks the same. Does it have the same quality?
Its the same camera. The 880 is the Euro version
@@MarkusPix Makes sense then, since I come frome Europe... ;-)
What is the best affordable camera for both vlogging and photography?
Awesome video! I have a Lumix GM5 camera and an Olympus 45mm lens. I did not know the two paired together made such a wonderful combination. I am going to put them together right now. Thank you so much :)
I am definitely subscribing to your channel for more cool information.
GM5 is an awesome camera! I love it so much I got 2 of them and used it as my main camera on my European vacation th-cam.com/video/vj2eji4ms5A/w-d-xo.html

I had one of those ten years ago, it doesn't work anymore
@@MarkusPix omg you replied😍♥️
I feel like this video is relevant with all the Fujifilm X-T100 hype (that I am also caught up in). Time for an update?
Yes thats not bad- these are even much smaller th-cam.com/video/vj2eji4ms5A/w-d-xo.html
edit: just saw your videos on the nx500. i'll leave my comment online anyway since i love this camera system so much.
with those big lenses there isn't really a point for small cameras... samsung nx500 with 30mm/f2 pancake. it doesn't get smaller than this. even though they left the camera business years ago, i still didn't find a worthy successor that is as compact and ergonomic. makes a perfect couple with the nx1
Thanks for the great video. BUT, what about the row of one-shots on the left of the frame? I really want to have something the size of a smartphone that I can do the soft/blurry/aperture background video. -Frank
I love practical problem solvers that's my style great layout video to watch
Hi Markus, which camera and lens did you use for this video? I like the wide angle with the nice blurry bokeh.
Can you tell us something about Samsung EX2F 1.4 camera pls?
Hello Marek. The Samsung NX mini would be a much more desirable choice. It is much flatter and lighter and has a sensor almost 3X bigger than the EX2F, plus the NX mini has touch screen and face detection which the EX does not. The Max ISO is also 300% higher and you can change lenses on the NX mini. Here are two videos mentioning the NX mini
