Why remove the Oem Bumpers ? When you can install the custom bumpers over the OEM ones for strength ..more work and time

They will not stick to plastic as well as prepped fiberglass. The oem bumpers provide no strength either. Hulls are glued (laminated) together. The rivets are for bumper mounting only not strength.

I bet you could put new rivets in the holes under the turf to be sure it still has the same potential structural integrity, that way your not just relying on the laminate holding the ski together. Doubt you notice and the turf probably still holds the same either way.

What's the durability of this stuff ?

As long as the product is installed correctly it will hold up just like the footwell turf. Normal trailer tie down will not matter, the heat from the sun makes the turf go right back to how it was almost like a memory foam. It wont fail well if its slammed into another ski, rock, or dock just like normal bumpers thought.
