if you open the round cap on where he put the key over to start the engine, you can pop off the cap by putting the actual key from the remote at the bottom hole. There is a key hole to put in your key like a regular car and push the start button. You do not need to rely on the little power the remote has left.

There is an ignition cylinder under the round cap on the steering column just like any other car. Use the physical key to pop the cap off and insert the key to start the car.
Sooo basically the “little power” thing he was talking about for the prox is not true. There is a transponder chip in the emergency key (the key he pulled from the prox key) and that doesn’t require a battery to function. It will always work unless it gets heavily damaged. Another thing to clarify is that you’re supposed to take the cap off to insert the key In there. For most prox key there is a transponder for back in case the proximity functions fail. Some vehicles have slots in which you you put the whole prox in some have ignition key slots for just the key portion of the prox key.
Ok great video but quick question I have a 2013 mazda mazda 3 the cars battery was dead from lights being on , guy claims he had it cross jumped by accident now the car won’t start , i check the main fuse on battery terminal it’s good but the 40 fuse for the ignition was fried ,replaced that car does absolutely nothing horn doesn’t work no lights on dash red security light flash no lights in the inside key fob doesn’t respond but the head lights work that’s weird I really don’t won’t to sale the car but I’m not rich can u please give me some pointers
Very strange? Did you replace the battery? Also could just be a lose ground somewhere. Sort of sounds like it. I would check to see if the ground wires are all making contact.

The key fob is dead but the transponder chip functions like an rfid card which doesn’t use any batteries.
Meaning that my mazda 2015 with push start will not be an issue if my key dies??

It's the chip that starts the car, not the dead battery... You could also pop off ignition cap and insert key, twist and start.
