A happy new year to you and your family as well Alan. Yes I look forward to the new project. There's not much information on the Cimatti. Take care, Jeff
Busy Busy Jeff, iam glad to see you didn't give up on it ,these things can get so frustrating at times ,but credit to you Jeff, you got it sorted ,the new project looks great 👍 happy new year to you my friend
Thanks Martin and a happy new year to you and your family. Still waiting to go on the road with it, but it hasn't stopped raining. The new project will be cosmetic first. Got paint, tyres and inner tubes. Luckily I sold my son's Seat which gave me a little spare cash. Take care, Jeff
Thanks Sue, I hope you are well. I have got over the flu, but have now got cellulitis. My elbow swelled up like a balloon, but wasn't able to see a doctor until Tuesday. He has put me on strong antibiotics, but if it gets worse I may have to go to hospital for an intravenous antibiotics. Topped with that I have now got sciatica. I was hoping to get a video done this week, but currently off work, so hopefully one next week. Take care, Jeff
Jeff Great video mate jenny looks great some times we come across crazy problems but the answer is simple just stop think about it then go back to it a other day these problems I am sure are for test us your doing a great job bril chanel Happy New Year all the best Phil in stoke
Thank Phil and a happy new year to you and your family. Hopefully no rain today so maybe able to take it for a run. My son rang me at midnight last night. His car has lost all drive, so that is now dumped about 2 miles away. Anyway take care, Jeff
Funny how things sync up. I noticed my tank was self emptying over time. I found that the petcock was not sealing, changed the o ring on the diaphragm needle which sorted it until the ethanol in the fuel ate it again. If your friend has a suggestion for a replacement diaphragm could you pass this information on to me as well. I am currently waiting for a fuel tap to put in line between the carburettor and petcock as a short term fox. Also, if you have time , links for the replacement needle and seat for the carburettor. Regards Richard
Hi Richard, thanks for watching. The expert I know is the one who sold me the bike. He restores and sells spares for FZ50's. He said that he has never managed to source a diaphragm, but could only sell me a used one. I may go down your path with a temporary fuel tap. There must be a replacement somewhere. At least it not leaking now. www.nrp-carbs.co.uk This is the company that I got the valve and seat from. It is £12 for the set and about £5 postage, still better than the ridiculous price I have seen for £30 + each. I will keep looking for a diaphragm, if I can find one somewhere, I will let you know. Take care, Jeff
