Absolutely love how organized everything is! Well done. Your van also looks like it's in really good condition for a 2003. That seems to be a rare find these days.
@@OutdoorsybyNature thank you! We love our van and it runs great. We completely rebuilt the front end, some of the rear, and engine though 😅. Totally worth it, we’ve heard of these vans running for 300,000 miles
@@HappyKhamper I love Astro vans - especially the ones with the Dutch rear doors like you have. My fear is buying one for the overinflated price they're going for now and having to sink several thousand more into it just to get it running well. In this economy, I can't make it make sense. ☹A girl can still dream, though!
@@OutdoorsybyNature 100% I plan to do a video on all the costs we put into the van. We saved some money doing work ourselves. But overall we put about as much as we bought the van for into it for repairs.
@@OutdoorsybyNature highly recommend sending the car in for a pre-sale inspection with a local shop. Depending on the shop, you can get a list of things you'd need fixed and an estimate as well. Then you can use it as leverage to lower the price or determine if it's worth the buy. An inspection is about $150 but varies depending on where you live.
@@HappyKhamper Absolutely! It was especially enlightening to compare your first van tour with this one. I think the slide out bed is going to be a feature I go for initially.
Thanks for these great Astro videos. I just bought a 1999 Astro and starting my build journey. You've given me some great ideas! :)
@@professorjedi1024 thanks for watching and good luck on your build!
Totally dig this build 😊

Lova them astros
Nice set up. I've been looking for examples from folks who use their van for camping instead of full time living.
Sweet! Hopefully you got some useful information from our tour.

Are you looking to replace the bumper cover or prefer as is? I have an Autumwood bumper cover that I'm selling.
@@SirPractical the goal is to get a big metal number that goes up over the grill too.
Do you have a suspension lift on this or are the tires just bigger? Curious how you got all that extra clearance!
We have a 3 inch lift
