      I mean the current "inflation" is proof of that considering studies already found that like 90% or so of companies are literally just price gouging and there isn't enough actual inflation to justify their prices. Q4 just had record profits for those companies.

      Thing is, they aren't lying, people just don't read the fine print. People also assume that x company is lying, but it's the ad agency that put those really nice looking tomatoes in there (or whatever), instead of the paper thin things fast food workers dread putting through the cutter. I have worked fast food, and all the employees dreaded new ads. Why are the tomatoes so thin? Because that is how the machine we have slices them. But they look nothing like the ads??? The ads didn't use company issued slicers. Etc etc. Yea, the big name could have stopped the ads, but not the local franchises. Look into those and find worlds of reasons to never eat out again...

      @@lancerevell5979 (non) Honourable mention: medicine and related businesses, I refer specially to hospitals and e.g. the now common revolving door policy regarding in-patients' time there and the disproportionate costs (at least in D and CH in my experience). The trend began around the mid 1990s, when the first companies took over the formerly county or district managed and owned hospitals (a way that some military hospitals also had to go...).
      Formerly always a medical doctor or professor was the head of the institutions, then the business model changed, and leadership was split into a medical director (still a med professional), and a economical director (I hope this is understandable, non native E speaker here, sorry), who now was a business administrator without any medical knowledge.
      Granted, not everything went smoothly and cost-oriented in the olden days, and like everywhere the temptation to grab the money that could be made by using loopholes was too much for some officials, which was the incentive to bring in people with money savviness in the first place. Medical professionals are not educated in economics, s it seemed to be a good idea, also to cut costs for insurance to make it more accessible to people with a lower income. Oh the irony!
      The methods and departments where fraud is possible and still a daily problem have only shifted, and the costs are skyrocketing in spite of "cost effectiveness" and " lean management" and whichever buzzwords help the perpetrators to win this BS bingo.
      Even fraudsters have to feed their family, or gas up the Ferrari... Yes, I AM a jaded cynic. I liked the business better when at least on the surface the patient's well being and adequate treatment, often no matter what the costs, was the guideline. I don't know how many times I have to explain this to people- It's pumpkin SPICE. It's the *spices* that you put *into* pumpkin puree to make a pumpkin pie with. That is, it's a mixture of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and/or ginger. It *can* be made with actual pumpkin, or pumpkin flavouring added to it; but that's *not* what the name is actually implying or guaranteeing.
    If you're looking for something that guarantees that actual pumpkin or pumpkin flavouring is added to it; look for pumpkin *pie* flavoured items, not pumpkin spice.

    • @ABC1701A
      @ABC1701A 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't think you can make spice out of pumpkin though, but SPICES are actually parts of plants so if they are claiming it is PUMPKIN SPICE to me they are stating it is at least part of the pumpkin plant/fruit. If they are merely adding cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger then they need to make it clear they are using DIFFERENT SPICES which can be added TO pumpkin pie - or apple pies or Xmas mincemeat, or any fruit dish for that matter as they are commonly used in many dishes NOT containing pumpkin. Basically it's is false advertising.

    Elizabeth ruined her head’s scientists life leading to his suicide and her machines were used on real patients causing a pregnant woman to believe she was miscarrying. • @lloydevans2900
      @lloydevans2900 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The GMO food "controversy" was to a large extent a PR failure by the first companies to commercialise them: They didn't properly explain how they had been made, which led consumers to mistakenly (though somewhat understandably) assume that something had been added to GMO foods which was somehow dangerous and was not in any non-GMO foods.
      One of the most common complaints made about GMO foods - and I promise I am not making this up - was that the food "had genes in it", or words to that effect. Yes, that thing which had allegedly been added to the GMO food was supposedly the genes themselves - as if non-GMO foods somehow don't contain genes. Which would of course be impossible - all foods are made from something which was at some point alive - or is still alive in some cases, such as fresh carrots or onions.
      So almost all foods contain genes, aka genetic material - the DNA chromosomes found in the nuclei of cells, whether they are GMO or not. The only foods which don't contain any genetic material are highly refined products, like white sugar or white flour.

Their core belief is that the earth is overpopulated and that humanity should stop reproducing and die off for the good of Gaea. That's why they so shameless when it comes to insisting that other make great sacrifices to accommodate Vegan demands. The Church of Anti-Humanism is filling the void left by the forcible removal of the Christian Church from nearly every aspect of our lives. I had been a VW enthusiast my entire life, until they pulled that stunt. I was on my 5th VW and was very supportive of the brand. Now I won't buy one that was made more recently than 1975, and tbh the last newer VW I had was a POS. I currently own one vintage vw, but for anything newer I buy, I will never consider a VW again.

      But aren't you still endorsing the company and it's fraudulent practices by buying their products? 🤔

    • @cathleenc6943
      @cathleenc6943 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Angyal_Angyal if I were buying their new cars or products, then my money would be going to them. Most of the parts for it are no longer even made by VW.
      Since my car is 51 years old and the majority of people who see it have no idea what it is, no one conflates it with me liking their modern cars or company. When you see a Model T Ford, do you have the thought that the owner must be supportive of the modern Ford company? There is likely no one who worked on the production of that car who is still employed by the company, and most of them are probably deceased by now.

    I remember4 waaaaay back when the U.S. made it a requirement that imported products made outside of our country were no longer allowed to put fake "Made in U.S.A". on their products. AT that time there was no made in China stuff here, but there was a lot of cheap Japanese products that were labeled that way. So what did Japan do? The started building factories in Usa, Japan, and ,of course, labeling their products "Made in Usa", while omitting the Japan.

    I have severe food, allergies and I learn the hard way that products will say they are dairy free, egg, free or gluten-free only to find out they can contain that item or they’ve changed the name to the something you don’t recognize but it’s still wheat. I see a lot of products that say dairy free and the first ingredient is milke fat, whey or casein. They are messing with people’s lives.

    I switched to Android because it's better.
    Android provides a more customizable experience than iPhone. It allows for extensive personalization of your phone's appearance, with launchers to modify the home screen and themes to change the visual aesthetics. Android also grants more in-depth access to the file system, enabling freer file management and straightforward drag-and-drop transfers between your phone and computer. Moreover, features such as split-screen multitasking and app sideloading (installing applications from sources other than the official app store) are possible on Android, unlike on iPhone.
