I love how Randy saw how his words might hurt someone even though that wasn’t his intention. He probably never thought about bald or balding brides because of how rare it is. His response was perfect.
its not rare though. i hope he now sees how he can help all brides regardless of lack of hair
Randy has a good heart and is a true gentleman.
You could see he was just mortified when he realised his words had affected her like that - he is such a caring guy - he was tearing up about it and so was I.
Randy you shouldn't apologise you didn't do anything wrong!
Where did the sound go? I've got my sound at max level and I can't hear a word!
You could SEE him realize she was about to quote his line about veils before she even said it. His eyes and his heart rate and then she said it and he just fell in his heart. Such a good guy to realize immediately what it could do
Also how ADORABLE is it when she goes "Ohhh buddy" when she's emotional. That's so stinkin cute
Randy is an abdolute doll. Hes so sweet & you can tell how much he truely cares about making this day special for every, single, bride that walks in...i swear it btings me to tears- to see so many brides SO happy🥰 With all the awful in this world today- this is a feel good sho w❤
How Randy immediately started mentally beating himself up, you knew he was gonna make her the bride she dreamt of being.
I have a friend with Alopecia and she attached a veil to a beautiful bridal headband...It looked so pretty.
This! This is what I was thinking so it won't move or anything
@@JodiLeaSnakeQueen I was thinking that there are plenty of options for her to wear a veil. Tiaras/headbands, a crown style, floral wreath, etc. She could also do a white satin or lace headband or wrap with a veil attached. Honestly I'm kind of pissed that all Randy did was toss a veil over her head.
@@OnePoetWanderer I was disappointed with his solution also.
i thought so too, i mean they had it clipped to the back of her dress which just looked weird. what are they gonna do, stitch it to the dress? it would make so much more sense to tie a nice headband around her head and tuck the veil into that.
@dietotaku they could very well stitch it to the dress. The veil hanging from the back of the dress makes for an extra layer of train. So it won't look ridiculous.
But I definitely understand about tiaras and headbands and such since my veil was attached to a headband, too. However, I do notice that most of the veils that they use are attached to combs or something that clips onto hair.
The 1st bride chose a beautiful dress. Randy did a lovely job with the veil. She looked like an angel.
Absolutely agree. Rachel is beautiful. ❤
oh Randy's face when she 'you said... youre just a girl in a pretty dress'. oh sweet randy. 🥺🤗
I so agree.
Randy made her perfectly beautiful!!! ❤❤❤❤
Agree 100%, she is gorgeous and her figure, beautiful!!!!
Isn't Randi an angel. "... you never want to hurt someone.." words to live by.
Randy---with a Y, not with the feminine I.
@@jb6712 you never want to hurt someone............
The first bride had the perfect dress and veil. She looked so beautiful. I cried because she got her beautiful veil. She’s so beautiful.
Me too!
Me too!
SAME!!!
The veil made the first bride remind me of old Greek marble statues where the artists were able to sculpt what looked like translucent fabric over female bodies and faces. A literal work of art 😭😍 congrats to the bride and great job, Randy!
What a beautiful description! As a writer, this description blew me away!
We don't see many plus size brides on this show. When Mary explained how she felt and the "I don't deserve this" feeling, that really hit home for me too, as a plus size bride (many years ago). Just to have gowns that you can try on in a bridal salon is unique and it shouldn't be. Yay, Mary. You look gorgeous!
I remember when brides to be went on diets. Of course, what was the point, if the groom to be had already proposed. 🤷🏼♀️
IMO, every bridal store should carry a lot of different sizes because plus size women need to feel beautiful on their wedding day, too! Only have size 6 or 8 just says “Your size isn’t pretty”!
I also simply didn´t expect Mary Lambert to appear on "Say yes to the dress!" She has such a happy and bubbly personality.
@@sachaAlexright, me too. It took me a second I thought I know her and then it hit me…omg that’s Mary Lambert and she has the most beautiful voice!
theres a separate series for that based in the UK, but plus size women exist everywhere lol
Randy is so empathetic towards others gotta love him. She's a beautiful woman, with or without the Vail. God Bless her.
Veil. The Vail is in Westeros.
This episode is beautiful, because not only Randy learned how his innocent words can hurt someone, but Im sure that most of us learned about a condition that we didn't even know existed. Randy was so gracious, as usual.
I've known trichotillomania exists for 15 years because my 16yo daughter has it. She's fought so hard to grow out her hair because she wants to, but seeing this stunning representation of another woman with her condition who has made an empowered choice makes my mama heart so happy.
Which episode is this? The description is wrong.
I suffer from trichotillomania. It’s been 10 years. It’s such a difficult disorder, and the worst you feel and focus about it, the worse it gets. I feel her so much, fighting your body every second is so hard. Randy was so sweet with her and he realized before she said it. Such an empathetic person.
I've known about it since 2001. I had a co-worker that had the condition.
The veil absolutely made her look ethereal not that she wasn't before but it looked magical on her.
As soon as she said "Started plucking at my eyebrows" I knew exactly where this was going. I have trichotillomania as well - thankfully not to that extent! I'm so glad she found something that works!
I have it too! Thankfully I don’t have it to that extent either, although I did end up getting a few bald patches recently which I’m super bummed about because I just grew it even again.
If everyone in this world had a heart like Randy's, there would always be peace.
Oh, Randy. It hurt my heart to see you upset. Anyone who's ever seen you on this show KNOWS your heart. ❤❤❤
A bit of an ooky and inappropriate response there, frankly. If he isn't your son, then your response should have been far subtler than that of a schoolgirl with a wrongly placed crush.
@jb6712 You couldn't have assumed or read this "room" any more wrong if you absolutely had to. Miserable.
@@jb6712So rude. Go away!
@@jb6712uhm what? Go away wtf?
@@jb6712 Wow. You seriously are projecting, or something. There was no implied romance in the OP's comment AT ALL. It had nothing to do with "a crush" and everything to do with basic empathy and simply caring for someone they respect.
Rachel is stunning, and Randy is such a sweetheart. He worries about unintentionally hurting someone.
I'm in remission for glioblastoma (brain cancer) & I have no hair on the 1/2 right side on my scalp due to radiation treatment I had & i completely understand this bride❤
@@cristya2042 I'm so happy to hear that you're in remission!!! ❤
@@lisamelroy2855 thank you!.. I wish you many blessings.. stay well & take care❤️
to be fair, he only realized he was hurting someone with his words when it was explicitly pointed out to him. it never occurred to him otherwise that he was saying brides who can't wear a veil are "just a pretty girl in a white dress."
@dietotaku: I’ve seen people have something explicitly pointed out to them, and they get defensive. Randy didn’t, though. He realized he’d unintentionally hurt someone and wanted to make it right. To me, that makes all the difference.
Rachel's story was so touching. When Randy realized that his words could hurt someone, he apologized to Rachel. Rachel looked so beautiful
The first bride had me in tears!!! I had lost my hair due to chemo four years ago (it came back curly and THICKKKK!!!) and I had people stare at me when I was bald, so I understand that pain. Also, second bride? I'm a curvy gal too, and people telling me "oh you'd be so much prettier if you were to lose some weight!". Um, I was told after chemo that, while weight loss may help me feel better (bad legs, hips and back), losing too much too fast (I'd lost about 45 pounds in six months after a divorce and heart attack just before the cancer diagnosis less than a year later) would be a warning sign that the cancer may have returned. So. With that being said, the second bride looked STUNNING! That dress made her waist look SNATCHED! And her tattoos have given me an inspiration as to what I can do to feel less self-conscious about my own arms as they're big like that. It's a difficult area to lose weight on, and no amount of strength training or weight loss will help me to lose it. I literally have to have reconstructive plastic surgery as my large upper arms are genetic from my maternal grandmother.
Please don’t draw attention to your arms with large colourful tattoos! Trust me!
You are courageous. Cancer is a fierce monster.
We can't judge people by appearance. We do not know their journey, genetics or health concerns.Real women are not perfect, what ever the size ,we get wrinkles with age , have cellulite, etc. And it is beautiful .
Take care of yourself. I have an autoimmune disease and can't eat "little" as my whole body shuts down. I was a thin young person but once my disease became chronic I just gotta stay healthy and energetic. Nothing else matters.
Do you have lipedema of the arms? There are new treatments for lipedema, a genetic vein anomaly. I have used an in home pump for 2 months and my legs are really improving. Waiting for the wraps to be sent from medical supply company. There is hope.
I love seeing brides who struggles with self image find their sparkle 💖 they are all so so so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Love Randy's heart. He was genuinely upset that his words had discouraged the first bride. I'm not crying!!
I'm so sad she felt she couldn't wear a veil. Why not a headband or tiara? She and those like her really do have options❤️❤️ She looks Beautiful.
Because her rare conditions makes her not being able to cope with shg on her head.
Actually, someone mentioned in an earlier comment that in the full episode the bride said she didn't want to wear a headband or anything because it makes her look like a baby@@BE-bs8oe
This sounds bad, but that might look sort of silly unless done very carefully.
Headscarf with extra fabric, a hairband (thin) with veil on it, etc.
There were many options in my opinion, considering she could handle this fabric on her head.
Personally I had a veil that was with as a cape. (Not because of trichotillomania, which I actually do have but not to a level where a need to shave my head -- I just like to be different and wanted a pretty tiara *and* a cape veil) There definitely are options, I agree.
Both brides were beautiful. But Rachel simply glowed. And the way Randy reacted when he realized how his words could effect someone shows what a gentleman he truly is.
I so agree with you.
The first girl is absolutely stunning & I'm glad she brought awareness to her condition. I hope both get their happily ever after🫶🏽
What is her condition? I don’t understand the word she’s saying
@@britanie96it’s called trichotillomania and it’s a disorder usually linked to anxiety where you pull out your eyelashes, eyebrows, or hair (or a combination) as a coping mechanism. It’s actually a lot more common than people realize.
I love Randy he’s empathetic apologetic and dosent make it about himself when he’s doing so I love him so much
Rachel looks ethereal in her dress and however she wears the veil will look amazing. I started tearing up!! Mary and her dress look stunning too! It shows off her tattoo so well too!!!
Tattoo🤦🏼♀️.
Randy really just has the sweetest soul. There's no fakery or false niceties with him. He couldn't have chosen another profession, but it's really a gift and a passion. And he's a designer, too! And that is one beautiful young woman! I think it shows how gorgeous her face is without hair to distract! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bless your heart Randy. We know you would NEVER hurt someone intentionally. ♥️
She is killing that dress. The 1st one. Randy did it. She looks absolutely stunning
The first bride is so hearttouching. She told Randy what he said about veils. 😢❤ i love Randy and I know he doesn't say that intentionally, but to encouraging brides to wear veils if they're unsure about them. I know Randy will somehow make a veil work for her.
The first bride looked resplendent. Her makeup and figure made the whole look.
I know EXACTLY what she is going through! I suffer from trichotillomania sense I was six and it has driven my life forever. I have managed to get a small handle on it but still effects me. Bravo her! Thank you for making me feel seen.
I feel you. I've been fighting with trichotillomania since i was a child as well. It's a nightmare and sadly it's almost unknown so the fact of having to hide it to most of the world makes it even harder
It's sad as women we can't see how beautiful we are. Yea maybe some of us don't have hair. Some of us aren't a size 2. Who cares !!?We should always support each other. We are all beautiful in our own way.
wise words my friend
Omgggg…… I never thought that a girl could look beautiful without hair before watching this gorgeous bride ❤️❤️❤️❤️love and prayers for you ❤
The first bride is beautiful and has the most beautiful skin I've ever seen.
OMG Mary Lambert! I am fangirling. I met her one at a seminar and have followed her career ever since. Way before Macklemore. I didn't know she was on SYTTD. Wow, Mary, just beautiful!
Ok I was searching for this comment to confirm it was her!!! I listened to her songs so much when I was going through some LGBT struggles. I love her so much. ❤
Women we go through so much pain but our Husbands Love us just the way we are.....THANK YOUUUU 🙏 💞 💖
Rachel in the simplicity of that beautiful dress is breathtaking ❤
That dress was made for her figure. She looks amazing in it!
Trichotillomania is a monster. I’ve struggled with it since I was 11. Granted, not severely enough to shave my head, but I definitely have some understanding of the struggle.
This woman is strong and beautiful, even if she doesn’t realize it yet! 💙
She is GORGEOUS!!!!!! 💕💕💕
She could even add gem stickers to her head under the veil for the reception
🤔
I love what Randy did with the veil, but can't help but think that stitching the veil to a fabric headband that circles her head would make it more stable and easier to fold back the front part without having to remove the veil entirely, would be a good way to have it all - something like the headpiece worn by Ilia in the first Star trek movie - would be beautiful on her.
I think those are called something like Juliet caps. A lot of vintage 1920s brides had veils similar to that look as well
@@gnostic268 Oh! a Juliette cap would be another great option! You'd need to look up Ilia Headpiece Star Trek the Motion Picture to find what I was meaning...
I love that Randy took such good care of her. She is so sweet. I hope her wedding was amazing!.
First woman look ethereal with the wail over her. Sort of a beautiful look hair could never achieve, actually!
Second woman as well. That dress was made for her. She looked stunning!
Both brides are stunning. I loved how Randy handled that situation.
The first bride looks like a living doll. God bless her.
She’s a beautiful woman and lord she’s stunning in her dress & veil. 💗
Normally with this show I hate probably 3/4ths of the dresses the brides choose. But both of these women were absolute perfection. I even loved the shirt Mary wore for her confessional.
What an amazing way to give the bride with trichotillomania a veil! A new use for the bustle idea! Randy you are amazing!!!
I respect Randy so much to have that maturity and sympathy is beautiful everyone should learn from Randy love him x
I think a headband type headpiece with the veil would've worked as well.
Randy is such a kind genuine big hearted gentle man!
Randy bloody did it. He worked magic. She looked amazing!!!!
Wow, the first bride was absolutely stunning. I love how contrite Randy was with his words. And, I love how he and the consultant came up a way for the bride to wear a veil. All, of the brides look amazing.
i immediately started crying when they put the veil on her she is so insanely beautiful it's surreal
As someone with the sister disorder, dermatillomania, I feel this pain and know this fear extremely well….
“I’m so happy!” Let’s all be stupid happy! 💜💜💜
Both brides got me crying happy tears for them and I don't even know them, lol! Such heartwarming feels from this episode!!
I have an offshoot of what she has-I have dermatillomania. I pick my skin-mostly on my face-and it left me with scabs-which are healed, but left me with a lot of ugly scars.
I admire her for doing something that took her a WHOLE LOT OF GUTS!! To go public with a problem like hers can be extremely scary! But, she overcame her fear, and allowed all of us to learn about little more about her medical condition. Bravo!! 🙌🏼 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👰🏼 My most sincere wish for her is many good times and happiness for the rest of her life!!! YOU GO WITH YOUR BADASS SELF, GIRLFRIEND!!! Love you sister!!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼😊😊
Randy has always come across as a genuinely kind and thoughtful person. 💛
I love how sweet and understanding these people are to these brides. Randy and his co-workers know how to do their jobs right.
Both brides are beautiful and perfect. And Mary also has a beautiful voice.
I love Randy! He is probably one of the few people you can meet and right off the bat, you know he has a heart of gold. ❤️
Two absolutely stunning brides who will look magical and stunning on their special days. Here's to many happy years for you both!
I love the way Randy worked with this bride. Lovely episode. Beautiful bride -- with or without a veil.
Awwww I cried when Randy realised. He’s such a sweetheart. 😢
She look3d incredibly beautiful ,thankyou rang for taking the time and effort to.make this young woman feel like a true bride ,I wish her all the happiness in.the world ❤
Randy is such a sweetheart he will never hurt anyone intentionally ❤❤
1st bride has a nice shape head to be bald. She can pull off being bald, some can't. But I would have liked to see some sparkle (band) on the veil. That veil looked to plain.
Both brides looked really great. I was also impressed that they met body image challenges head-on.
That blue on Randy was fantastic. Loved the style of the dress the first bride feel in love with
We need more people like Randy in this World. What an amazing human being 🤍
What a beautiful young lady!! Being 72 and losing my hair my whole life, wearing ball caps and wigs for the last 20. I so feel for this girl. She is so lovely.
Someone should make a headband veil with sparkle around the head band or just on top like a crown for bald women.
Randy, that first bride is absolutely gorgeous. The dress and veil made her even more elegant. Randy you are a gem and don’t ever forget that. ❤
I LOVE that in the first two minutes, we watch Randy learn something about himself and the things he says-and he reacts so authentically and emotionally at recognizing the unintentional effect his innocent words may have had on others. We all know what he meant by them when he said them, but we also see that a bride can look LOTS of different ways, and you can accidentally put women in a box by having this cookie-cutter image.
Omg can I love Randy more? He is so super sweet! I want to get married just so i can have a Randy hug😂
I think a white flower crown with the veil would have been perfect for the first bride
This is why I took the word "just" out of my vocabulary when referring to people and animals. Nobody wants to be just anything, and it's not good to belittle anyone, even in our own head. Randy handled this wonderfully. ❤
The 2nd girl is also absolutely gorgeous, & the dresses silhouette is perfect for her body, & once they added that veil it was devivve perfection!!
🤍💎🤍💎🤍💎🤍💎🤍
Both brides look beautiful!
trichotillomania is such a frustrating disorder I shaved my head and haven’t looked back
Is that the same as Alopecia?
Nope… it’s in the same family as picking cuticles and self harm you literally subconsciously pull hair from your head or eyebrows or lashes really can be any hair depending on the person my parents noticed when I was 6 and it only got worse we tried so many different therapies and even a few hypnotizing sessions it’s hard because it’s visible and people assume cancer then when you explain there’s always the comment “then just stop” not so easy when a lot of those who do this even do so in their sleep
@@tannad5332 so its like the habit of biting nails? - a choice? So bitting nails is a disorder?
My gawd, I love Randy. He does this for the joy of the brides.
The first bride was an ethereal beauty.....she looked absolutely gorgeous ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Omg the first bride, using a flower crown to hold it in place. STUNNING. She's gorgeous.
Rachel is such a Beautiful woman! And, when they put on the veil, she was so Radiant!!❤️
She's so pretty! I think her baldness made her look so special!❤
No one's talking about the sister/friend on the couch wiping her tears for Rachel, before the veil reveal.❤
Love Randy and this bride deserves it.
Both brides are gorgeous ❤❤
Randy is a sweetheart
I have a very short pixie cut, and I attached my cathedral length veil to a beautiful headband I've had for many years. It was perfect! No matter what, you can wear a veil!
Let's see her with a tiara. She looks stunning either way.
1st bride, she is beautiful, the veil is beautiful but there are also other options, they make beautiful jeweled caps with attached veils.
So Beautiful! One idea Might be to Add a Simple thin circlet for her veil... But she is radiant!
I'm glad that Randy now knows how his words has hurt those of us brides who can't wear a veil. It is nice to know he really took it to heart and will never do it again.
She's so beautiful ❤️
i have trich as well. it's not as severe as this bride, but i was about the same age when it started.it's something i think i'll struggle with for the rest of my life.
she looked sooo beautiful 🥰 the dress is perfect for her and the veil is spot on!
I didn’t watch this show before now, but Randy’s reaction and how he handled his mistake, and the fact that he and other stylists are truly sensitive, caring, and inclusive, and truly want the best for their clients is what made me to decide to give this show a chance. I’m already intrigued but I try to be mindful of what shows and other kinds of things I support in any way.
Both of the brides are gorgeous and I am so happy for them.♥️♥️
To day its a choice how you look with or without hair...
Its alot of beautiful wigs now.
She is a wonderful bride. ❤
Both brides brought happy tears
