I like taylor and Garrett. Not everyone is super extroverted and have a tv super entertaining personality. They're just people with similar interests that found someone that get their jokes and won't find them boring or whatever. Hope it works out for them

My only problem is NONE of these couples are likeable to me

See I don't mind how Steven handled the cheating conversation, for a few reasons... 1. He was not only completely upfront & honest about it, but *he* was the one who brought it up, so he's obviously not trying to hide it or wait until he's specifically asked. 2. He's not wrong that what constitutes "cheating" can be different for different people, but he also didn't try to use that to minimize his own actions - he straight up said "I cheated" and acknowledged the intent he had, instead of leaning into the "but nothing physical ever happened" part of it. 3. He's obviously not lying about having been in therapy because he is able to clearly articulate the things that were messed up in his own head which lead him to that behavior. You can't be sure you won't repeat past behaviors if you don't understand what lead you to do them in the first place, and it sounds like he's done the work in therapy to figure that out. 4. Imho it sounded more like explanations than excuses to me...and also a pleasantly surprising degree of actual accountability on his part. (i.e. his explanation was focused on what was wrong in his own head, & he never tried to shift any blame onto his partner at all, at least from what we saw) Maybe that's just me - I do tend to give people the benefit of the doubt too easily sometimes, & it's definitely possible I could be proven wrong, maybe even within the week! 😅
I think the cheating conversation with Stephen is really healthy. I don't think that someone having cheated in the past is an automatic red flag in and of itself. The true red flag is not having learned and changed from it.

Guys, when I went to Australia I was SHOCKED that people don't wear shoes, like literally everywhere people go barefoot, in the supermarket, stores, malls, restaurants, it's so crazy to me but I guess it is good because people would keep the streets clean for their own benefit, and it really was quite clean, no trash on sight 😂I was amazed by people just living life barefoot, no thoughts just vibes

The people TV typically features, are very mainstream and basic, and communicates plainly, using simple vocabulary... no offense to ya'll .😅 😅 and since American LIB people feel pretty typical and generic, we've all become skeptical of the authenticity of folks who don't reenforce that narrative i.e the intellectuals. I myself, who feels like a niche person, would not think in a million years I'd be reflected on the show. The closest thing to that is actually Marissa and Ramses combined personalities.

Then we see him in the pods and the only thing we hear about is the money. I don't like him very much but am wondering how much of it is the edit (at least in the first 2 episodes).

I also like Tyler and Ashley even though I didn't think I would given how often religion features in their storyline. But so far, they are very wholesome and I've enjoyed seeing them connect and do fun activities together. I really like the idea of sharing a playlist with someone as a way to connect without having to constantly talk. I'm sure the people in the pods get tired of so much talking and opening up after a while, if only for the emotional energy required! (I'm an introvert, so my social battery gets drained real fast!) Also, I agree with your read of Stephen. He was very quick to try to paint over his admission that he cheated. I also think that if your partner at the time considered it cheating, then it's not "technically" cheating, it IS cheating . Because while it's true there can be different parameters in different relationships, the point is that he broke his partner's trust.
It's not just you guys but a lot of people. Loving Harry Potter doesn't mean you know or care about JK Rawling. We can't throw away art because of people's personal opinions. If that's the case, then we really have to throw out a lot of history, art, scientific, and psychological theories out due to the people who invented and influenced things.

The show is entertaining enough without the toxic drama from online trolls that is sure to manifest as social media hate at some point. They are all human just like us at the end of the day. They don’t get paid enough to be demonized for being imperfect. I believe Tyler has shown many redeeming qualities on the show so far. So I would reject the idea that a “black” man can’t be extended some form of grace even if it’s just based off of what the edited content has shown alone. Besides, I don’t think anyone could hide baggage that large regardless. Male or female. I’m rooting for love and I hope you are as well.

Also, I agree with your read of Stephen. He was very quick to try to paint over his admission that he cheated. I also think that if your partner at the time considered it cheating, then it's not "technically" cheating, it IS cheating . Because while it's true there can be different parameters in different relationships, the point is that he broke his partner's trust.

It's not just you guys but a lot of people. Loving Harry Potter doesn't mean you know or care about JK Rawling. We can't throw away art because of people's personal opinions. If that's the case, then we really have to throw out a lot of history, art, scientific, and psychological theories out due to the people who invented and influenced things.
Were still cool with HP. The question about JK is more of a litmus test on whether we would get along in a dating sense. Ive actually struggled with this same thing with music. Like so many artists are so problematic throughout history but theres a lot of cool art to show for it

My couple predictions
Hannah and Nick… They seem toxic… especially when drinking. It could be a toxic yes… I’m leaning No with them.
Stephan and Monica- Soft Yes although Monica gives me “self sabotage” vibes. I hope she don’t switch up on Steph. I think he believes he’s kinda punching up. Side note: Any grown woman over 30 using the word “ick” is a red flag to me.
Tim and Alex- It’s a soft no for me. I’m nervous for them long term. They both could use the gym to burn off frustration. Tim might need more therapy. Military dudes be having high functioning trauma low key.
Tyler and Ash- The Golden Couple. I’m Yes for them so far.
G and Taylor… I like it… looking to see the parent meet. Soft Yes for now. Second best couple IMO
Ram and Marissa- should be a yes… I think it will be a surprise no. They definitely in the Lust stage. Real world will test them for sure.
I only find Ramses attractive out of the men. Most give me the ick. Nice predictions. Tyler was busted on his stuff online hope he is honest with Ashley.
@@amelieleigh I know what you mean. I prefer not to go too deep into the real world side of it. The show is entertaining enough without the toxic drama from online trolls that is sure to manifest as social media hate at some point. They are all human just like us at the end of the day. They don’t get paid enough to be demonized for being imperfect. I believe Tyler has shown many redeeming qualities on the show so far. So I would reject the idea that a “black” man can’t be extended some form of grace even if it’s just based off of what the edited content has shown alone. Besides, I don’t think anyone could hide baggage that large regardless. Male or female. I’m rooting for love and I hope you are as well.
