I just found this channel. I don't know how to quilt but watching these videos is very cool. Besides I can always try something small like a baby quilt until I get the hang of it. Nice channel! Thank you so much! I was just watching as I was drinking a cup of coffee. :-)
I will miss you. Enjoy your goats, my husband and I have two and walk them everyday that it is not snowing or raining. Looking forward to next season. Take care.
I love the coloring for this quilt, the purple and black are so cool! I've been watching your show and is so much fun...thank you for having the enthusiasm and playfulness with your quilting show. Was so funny, 5-6 yrs ago I went to a community quilting guild meeting, and when I told them that I knew it was time for my last glass of Reisling, was when my stitch was no longer in the ditch! I was laughing so hysterically, it didn't get quite the response I imagined, the girls need to lighten up and have fun :)
Good afternoon Angela, I really enjoyed this video as i could understand everything you said and did. I think your brother in law was really lucky to receive such a special present, so no wonder he wants it back (and it shows you must have done it right with the present in the first place, lucky man). I wonder if your husband works nightshift and that's why your up at that time of the night sewing, lol. Although i am a sew er amongst other crafting, i am just going to be starting quilting. I have watched a few talented people now on TH-cam and it's because of seeing Jenny's, Donna's Laura Lynn and of course yourself that enticed me to venture down this path. Thank you flower for sharing your skills and humour with all of us, as you are encouraging new to start and old to return because of it. Take care, crafty hugs, Norah Glenochil Village, Central Scotland
Hi Angela!! Stumbled onto your you tube videos and was reeled in. Love quilting and have family in Kearney!! What a small world. Love Craftsy also, I will be sure to continue to watch and when I get down to Liberty I will for sure stop by your shop!!! keep them coming!!
Have you ever seen the midnight sky in the wilds of Wyoming with no artificial lights around? This is it! Just multiply the churn dashes by a few billion and you've got that amazing sky. I really like this one! I think this would be perfect for a guy, but just a little bit bigger. And yes, you ARE special!
Nooo dont let this be the last one of the season. I just lost my mom in law and your videos make me sane. I guess im going to have to binge watch the old videos..
OMG cut big pieces into little pieces and put them back together in a big piece again! Exactly why it took me like 30 years to come to quilting. I have a big piece of fabric, I'm making a skirt, or a shirt!
I was so prepared NOT to like this quilt because I didn't see how you could make the Churn Dash any better. I was SO WRONG! I LOVE this version! I think I might even like it better than the original. Maybe. Please hurry back! We're all gonna miss you!
Well, reckon I will have to order this quilt kit!! Think I can do this one as I am a beginner quilter, but not sewer!! Love your shows! I am getting ready to start the Variable wallflower quilt! Cant wait! I know I would love it if you could state the color of the thread you are using, too!! Know it is Aurofil and using some of that now and love it! Thanks for all you do and what a lovely family you have!! I have also just order "Slim" ruler to help me finish my "first quilt"!! Whee-ha!!
I love love love your shows I have watched ALL of them! I quilt when I can, I'm a stay at home mom, and watching you ALWAYS gives me inspiration. I'm so happy I stumbled across your shows and then the midnight quilt show, even if I can never decide on what to create.
I figured out that the fabric is exclusive to Craftsy. Beautiful colors, I wish I could get all the Boundless Batiks. Great show, and I love watching you work. Thank you.
I flippin love your show. My husband has been beside me sometimes watching, sometimes just listening. He told his family he's pretty sure he could make an entire quilt on his own now, lol. I come from a long line of quilters. I remember as a kid watching my aunt's all come together to hand quilt tops that each of them would finish. I still have my mom's old quilt frame. I've just gotten interested in doing quilts. I never thought I had it in me to do them like my mom and aunt's. Unfortunately my mom is now 89 and can't remember enough to pass stuff down to me. So, I found you, MSQ, man sewing and Melanie Ham on you tube. So, thanks to all of you I have almost completed my first quilt. A winter snowman quilt and not only have I done the quilt top but I did all the free motion quilting. All on a 25 year old sewing machine. I just have the binding to do. Thank you for being so inspirational and funny all at the same time.
Gail Fisher I'm like you from a long line of quilters on both sides. I have one quilt from each side of my family. Didn't become interested in quilting until I was fourth three
Theresa, I'm glad I'm not the only one who started late 😉 I'm 47. That is so cool to have a quilt from both sides. I have only 1 from my mom's side. But, it has 3 generations hands on it so far. My great grandma cut the material before she passed. My grandma pieced the quilt top before she passed. Then my mom quilted it. I've used it so much that it has small rips in it. I want to repair it. I would be the 4th generation to work on it 😀 I'm quickly falling in love with quilting. There are so many cool designs out there.
Fabulous!! I have to say I really enjoy your quilting, wine, and how you seem fearless. I am still piecing and binding, but not so much with the quilting. I am hoping this summer I will become a quilting maniac.Quilting has been in my family for awhile, but not by me personally. I mean I can whip out an occassional Baby quilt no problem. Thanks for your wonderful inspiration ! I appreciate you. Enjoy your time off 😉
I absolutely loves all your videos! Your a great instructor, your funny and make us feel like we can make small mistakes and it's not the end of the world! I had been following instruction from another person in your field who is wonderful and taught me a lot, but way too rigid. It's taken me a very long time to realize that no ones going to notice a tiny mistake
Angela, I love your episodes. They make me want to head straight to my sewing machine. I find you give me confidence to try some of your quilting ideas. I hope you are back soon.
My first quilt I did while I was going to school. I never worked so hard in my life but totally enjoyed it. I gave it away. So I don't think I have a picture.
Im with you Angela, Im not a big fan of purple but that colour combination with the dark background is simply stunning. I just finished my 2nd ever quilt a few days before Christmas, lol. I was so chuffed with it. When I say Im new to quilting.....really I am new to sewing....at all! The first time I ever powered on my machine I made my sister a Dorothy Gale dress and I even made a video on my channel on how I made the ruby slippers. , 2nd project was a patchwork quilt.....and the 3rd project was the quilt I just completed which was a simple jelly roll race quilt. But I seem to be getting the hang of it for someone who didn't know how to turn on a sewing machine just 3 projects ago (who am I kidding....I still need to consult my instructions manual on how to thread my machine, teehee).. I never do anything simple.....I could have started with making a tea coaster or even a table mat.....but no......my first ever sewing projects were 2 massive quilts (which I also quilted myself) and a dress, lol. Looking forward to Season 5! Enjoy the break. Lee x
SO glad I found your Midnight Quilt Show! Love the inspiration and the way you make it so easy. Great explanations on how to cut, too. Thanks for the previous shows and hope there will be may more to come!
Hey! Man, you are to my quilting what Jenny Doan is to my piecing. I've started fmqing my quilts and I've become more precise and confident since watching your quilting. Thanks so much for doing these
This is the first time I’ve caught one of your tutorials....you’re awesome! I love your personality! I think I’ll subscribe. I’ve been quilting for 20 years, not slowing down yet....just picking up steam.😀
Angela! I would love to meet you in person! In the meantime, my question is thread choices! How do you choose the thread type, color, have you ever used the thicker thread to have your work stand out? Keep sewing and quilting, it wouldn't be half as fun without you!!!
Love this quilt! I struggle with the leaf shape but I love it paired with the swirls. I’ve taken all of your Craftsy classes! I especially found it helpful when your books echoed what was in the classes. Yep, Own almost all of your books as well. I will miss you the next few weeks but I’m looking forward to your next episodes!
Hey Angela great show and you will be missed. I love craftsy not sure about there new program. I still haven’t finished several classes I purchased but it sounds interesting. Plan to look into it. I love the churn dash block and the fabric you used. I still want to make the puzzle quilt. Working on Christmas presents lol have to get started or I will never finish. My first quilt was make to preserve (lol, not the right way to save a special quilt) given to us as a wedding gift she used brocade and silk and cotton fabric that was just falling apart. So I used cotton squares and made a quilt and put the gift quilt inside and tired the new quilt. I still have it since 1969 and use it. The quilt will always be special.
I visited the the Thread Bear Quilt Shop in Las Vegas NM on our ski trip. I purchased one of your free motion books. Michael mentioned that you were there in August! What a great shop! The only downside is that it was the only book that was not autographed. After I meander down the slope, I can't wait to start working through the book! Cheers! Dilly Dilly!
Love the thread choice for this quilt! #myfirstquilt is a work in progress but it's coming along. I stumbled across one of your videos a few months ago and you inspired me to give quilt making a shot. So thank you so much!
I love your videos! Can you sometime do a quilt on you longarm after youve put one together for the show? I think that would be nice to see how you'd tackle quilting from there! Thanks so much for all you do.
Instead of drawing a line on the squares, Jenny from Missouri Star Quilt Co., folds the square in half, wrong sides together, then stitches in the crease. Love it! xoxo from rainy Arizona, 67/44f today.
Suzi Saint James, since there are four flying geese needed it would waste less fabric to use the method that yields four at once. There are a couple rulers and videos that cover the method. If you go with the corner to corner snitch, sew another 1/2 away and you end up with a bunch of half square triangles that can be used for another project..
Raychell Pettijohn, but doesn't the 4 at once method put the bias and straight of grain on opposite sides. Jenny from Missouri Star Quilt Co says she doesn't mind the bias on the outside, but traditionalists have a fit with the bias on the outside. xoxo from sunny 🌞 Arizona. 78/46f today
Raychell Pettijohn, besides, I love bonus triangles! I make my bonus blocks into shopping bags and I have parts of my quilt with me even when I'm shopping. As shopping is my favorite sport only after quiliting. xoxo from sunny 🌞 Arizona.
Suzi Saint James, I think you are thinking of the half square triangles that end up being bias on the edges... I was talking about the flying geese needed. those are not bias edged.
Suzi Saint James, yep the bonus blocks can have fun uses. I feel the key is to sew them at the same time to keep then from getting 'filed' away for later bcc and never used
I know it must take a lot on your part to put these tutorials together and I appreciate you. I look forward to the next season, BTW when does that start again? Thanks for all the great tutorials!!
I love your show - great ideas! One request for next season - could you occasionally show the quilting on your long-arm? Your long-arm abilities are so inspiring!
Hi Angela of Midnight Quilter 🍷💖 I enjoy watching all your videos and I’m a fan of yours ❤️
Yeess queen we stan quilting evolution
Beautiful
Great quilt ideas. I love that you not only do the quilt top but you also show us how to quilt it. Thanks a bunch!
The addition of the flying geese to the churn dash makes this quilt so attractive. Am proud of you for including a little purple into this quilt.
I just found this channel. I don't know how to quilt but watching these videos is very cool. Besides I can always try something small like a baby quilt until I get the hang of it. Nice channel! Thank you so much! I was just watching as I was drinking a cup of coffee. :-)

I love the coloring for this quilt, the purple and black are so cool! I've been watching your show and is so much fun...thank you for having the enthusiasm and playfulness with your quilting show. I'm starting again at 67 and hopefully, with the help of TH-cam, I can remember how to do this stuff which I haven't tried in over 40 years!

Churn Dash is my absolute favorite traditional block. Love your twist!
My first quilt I did while I was going to school. I never worked so hard in my life but totally enjoyed it. I gave it away. So I don't think I have a picture.
Lovet this but WAIT, is that a new wedding ring set? Gorgeous!!!! Hurry up and start the season already, LOL.
I love that background! I don't think that I have ever seen a black batik fabric before.
I love the leaf echo quilting. I'll be trying that soon for sure. Thanks Angela!
Im with you Angela, Im not a big fan of purple but that colour combination with the dark background is simply stunning. I just finished my 2nd ever quilt a few days before Christmas, lol. Love the colors and the quilting design. Beautiful.
I am just finishing my first applique quilt! And my free motion has gotten a lot more fluid and fast.
This pattern would make a great baby quilt. I too look back at my first quilting and remember how proud I was at the time. I am much better now!
I love that quilt pattern. I'm going to give it a try with my batik stash!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS QUILT!!!!!
I just love your show so much!! I have learned so much from you!
WoW! BEAUTIFUL need to learn that! 💞💞

love the design and the fabric
So excited to go to your class in Appleton!
I'm going back to watch season 1, time to binge.
I so enjoy your videos.
Beautiful quilt Angela, Hurry back...you will be missed.
Nothing easy with you girl beautiful quilts
Where can I get one on the rulers with the cuts in the rulers.
Look at you girl! Loving that pretty purple I see... Its one of my favorites! Gonna miss u!
Amazing 👌🏻 we will miss you. Honestly I keep watching the show again and again because it is very inspiring I enjoy it
I love your show - great ideas! One request for next season - could you occasionally show the quilting on your long-arm? Your long-arm abilities are so inspiring!
What are the dimensions for each of the cuts and how many of each are there?
I love your show!
