Thank you, John! Yes, I completely agree about the soothing effect of Bach’s music. Bach’s music has and will always hold a special place in my heart. 😊
Wow. I was pleasantly surprised, what with an upright and all. And I don't mean to sound harsh, here, at all. I'd almost kill to have talent like yours to do the photography and mic-ing for a handsomely produced short. You both were absolutely on-point. Congratulations.
Around the fall of 1978... As a seaman(3rd engneer) a car carrier from Yokosuka Port, Japan to the America. Cantata Nº 208 that gave comfort and relaxation on the boring ocean going vessel through the LP installed in the officers' cafeteria. To recall my memories I purchased my first violin in "Baltimore" in the eastern United States It seems like yesterday I was learning the violin on my own. Even when I listen to it now, 46 years later, it still feels deep emotion in my heart. The difference between then and now that I can play with piano accompaniment on line. This collaborative performance that shares the feelings of father and his son I love this beautiful playing more than any virtuoso's performance... Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your beautiful story❤ How wonderful that this piece brings back fond memories from your days as a seaman. Music has a way of taking us away to a different world away from the challenges of life that we all experience. Many of us recall certain memories and feelings (both positive and negative) from our past whenever we hear and/or play particular pieces. That is definitely true for me, especially when I listen to Bach's music. I can hardly think of anything that evokes such strong feelings and expresses the human condition more deeply than music. I'm happy that you have and still continue to appreciate the awesome power of music. Best wishes in your violin studies! 😊
nonononon.... Even if its well played, you shouldn't do that. because the violin is altering the simplicity of that piece, it's not large enough to support the violin's lyricism. Alessio Bax has given a definitive version.
Sehr schön gespielt!
Klavier und Violine passen wunderbar zusammen!
Thank you so much❣
Something about Bach is so soothing. Simple, beautiful music and such elegant playing. Thank you gentlemen.

What is the arrangement? Haven't been able to find similar.
The piano part is the arrangement by Egon Petri, minus a majority of the melodic notes, which are played by the violin.

You can't tell him what to do on his channel. I think it sounds lovely and the violin makes this beautiful piece sound more tender and light-hearted.
@@Nia_von_L Foremost because it's also a Cantate.
