  • Tyler Ward's relationship with Alex G was a significant part of his TH-cam success, but their relationship also contributed to the downfall of his channel. Tyler would collaborate with many young and impressionable TH-camrs, and sometimes he would date them for a bit, only to move on to the next.
Tyler and Alex's relationship was one of the most talked-about on TH-cam, with many fans speculating about their status as a couple. Tyler denied that they were dating, but they were often seen together, and their collaborations were incredibly popular. However, Tyler ultimately ended their relationship and started hooking up with Alex's sister, which caused a great deal of controversy.
The fallout from Tyler and Alex's relationship affected both of their TH-cam channels. Tyler lost subscribers and views, and his collaborations with other TH-camrs, which were once so successful, became more infrequent. Alex also saw a decline in her popularity, and the TylerAndAlex channel they had created together was left abandoned.
The break-up of Tyler and Alex's relationship was a turning point for Tyler's TH-cam career, and it had a significant impact on his popularity and success. Despite the controversy, Tyler has continued to make music and post videos on his channel, but he has not been able to recapture the level of success he once enjoyed.

I’m so glad you made this video. I found Alex again on TikTok, always wondered what happened, and I’m just so disgusted by Tyler cause he’s showing constant predatory behavior towards women

I'm glad somebody us talking about this! As a young teen I was so confused when they stopped collaborating. Though, I must admit I genuinely thought what Tyler did was far worse than what he actually did. Don't get me wrong, it's scummy and he sounds like a perfectionist asshole, but a 19 year old getting drunk isn't exactly that crazy. She's an adult kissing another adult at that point.
I do understand why Alex would want nothing to do with him after that type of betrayal. I wish Tyler was just more responsible and actually down to earth maybe than things could have been resolved amicably.

I think it was mostly because it was her sister. That is the weirdest part. I’m sure he didn’t have trouble finding other girls.

Of all the ORIGINAL musicians and song writers out there struggling to get by, it's painful that such a minimally talented hack would get so much traction.I don't get the fascination with covers and copies; I guess it reflects the follower mentality of the majority of the population .Most wouldn't recognize real talent or art if it hit them in the head -,and that is truly to everyone's detriment.

Yes it’s crazy how popular cover artists on TH-cam get. I don’t mind playing a cover here or there. But my philosophy is if everyone just does covers there no new music. So I mostly stick to writing originals. As I see it as more artistic work

Highkey calling cover artists “minimally” talented and people who enjoy them as lesser than other fans of music is so L. I mean if you want to be pretentious it certainly is very easy to say to creating original work is more “talented” than covering. And objectively I’d agree but I would not go anywhere near as lame as calling cover artists less talented. It’s as simple as wanting to watch/listen/play/read/eat etc a different rendition of anything. If a chef makes a spin-off of a recipe is he less talented and not as good? Is a game developer who remakes and remasters a classic game to fit modern tastes or their own less talented than the originals? Imo pretty arrogant take but to each their own ig

@@tomkhong5219 As a lifelong chef and musician, - obviously one pays the bills, - I would freely acknowledge the overall lack of challenge I feel repeating the same recipes over and over, be they my own or other's.For the same reason, I've never been interested in sports, especially pro; do something enough times, display a little self discipline, - and yes,- you will become proficient.
I've heard some solid remixes, and no doubt production can be an art to itself; but IMO, this differs hugely from copying the same characteristics that make a particular song recognizable. Many listeners seem to attach music to a moment in time, or an identity; the song becomes a nostalgic choice; I've never understood the attraction or could embrace the mindset.
Strong opinion? Maybe. Still and all, I'd view such efforts as a shallow and pointless exercise in mentally undeveloped vanity. IDC if it's Van Halen, Motley Crue, or the Foo Fighters doing it.
