@@KSpartan I played AC3 and it's sequel 'AC Silent Line' while waiting for AC6 to release, it was really impressive for a PS2 game, the customization on parts was crazy.
I'm having an aneurism watching him not understand the weapon bay. Arm weapons are used from the ARM SLOTS, shoulder weapons are used from the SHOULDER SLOTS. Extra weapon bay lets you put arm weapons in your shoulder slots, but they are still ARM WEAPONS. In order to use them, they need to be equipped to an arm slot. If somehow there are other confused people, this is why he kept swapping weapons back and forth instead of actually firing something. He put arm weapons on his shoulder slots, where they cannot be used. Trying to use them just swaps them to the arm slot, where they CAN be used.

>"I don't even know what's happening, I can't see the attacks" >proceeds to blindly rush the boss in melee range without trying to figure out his attack patterns for 3 hours
what i gathered from the sea spider: - there are two beam attacks in the first phase. first version: two blasts that aim during a short charge. avoid these by strafing at range. he can start charging as soon as he wakes up from stun so you need to be at range before he wakes up. second version: an arcing beam that doesnt aim during its (longer) charge. when you see its not aiming, you know its this version of the beam. get in close and unload--it cant hit close. - aimed machine gun: doesnt do much damage, can be strafed at range. one of the few attacks that can hit even when you are close to the boss. - vertical rockets: these rise up then lob onto you from above. move in as they dont hit under the spider, or strafe as they have limited aim. - arcing rockets: these go out to the side and aim for a short time, then home. dodge by going forward or backward... if you strafe they can hit you. fang smash attack: jumps onto you from close/mid range. fairly easy to dodge as long as youre moving and not distracted. tl;dr: on stun, go in, unload/melee. reset to mid/far range and start strafing. if you see the non-aimed beam go in immediately and unload, probably for a stun. on the other attacks either go in or keep strafing (as described above) and shoot at range while waiting for the arcing beam, fang smash, or another attack that can be punished up close. didnt see much of the second phase yet. if u played souls, you should know that transitioning from close to far range is a common part of the "rhythm" in their boss fights. asmon talks about "unavoidable" damage but it becomes a lot more avoidable when you set yourself up in the right position BEFORE the attack comes. trying to stick close to the boss at all times and not using the stun to reset your position = fail. he started doing a lot better once he began resetting to mid range during the stun, but he was too inconsistent and also triggered from the previous attempts.
I'm glad I chose Asmon as my AC6 watch-through. I've been playing my own game and then watching after to see how Asmon does to avoid spoilers. It's interesting to see how his tank, compared to my medium to lightweight builds. The tank in the earlier stages wrecks minions and bosses. But I found the SEA SPIDER (2 attempts) and the one before with the big fire arms, much easier than I thought it would be with a lightweight mech. The speed and plasma weapons I'm using seem to be weaknesses for those bosses. It's really cool how the game plays so different for different builds. Ground vs air, stealth vs don't give F**K, big d**k vs DPS. There's no one way to play and that probably gives it replayability Big respect for him sticking with his tank with everyone back-seating.

Core gameplay for this game is customize. Bosses are designed as such so that brute force is punished severely. There are key boss attacks that u absolutely should look out for (there are sound indicators for them and there’s red indicators as well on the enemy mech when they perform them). U gonna have a bad experience if u just stick with the same parts throughout the whole game. Take advantage of ur ability to change your mech parts every checkpoint restart, that why its there. Tip: u can sell the parts u have for the same price u bought them for. If u wanna buy parts but u have no money, unequip the parts u wanna change first or change into the beginner parts as you can’t sell those, then sell the parts that u wanna change and buy the parts u want at store then equip. For the sea boss, I highly suggest tetrapod since you can hover over the boss’ leg attacks on first phase and most lethal attacks on the second phase are targeted towards the ground as well so u can also hover over those.
You can paste and copy color schemes so you don't have to paint each individual part with your theme. Paste them to your 'User' list. This applies to patterns too and their color schemes.
Watching him fight the cleaner is so crazy, I had more issues with Belius than he did but since I was a quad core I just flew over the cleaner and ignored half the mechanics and shot all my shit straight down into his weakpoint XD
This boss was a bitch with a Tank Build. I went ultra agile and all energy weapons and I owned it, only used 1 repair pack. It made it so easy. Balteus IMHO is the worst boss so far.
The first boss being able to fly out of bounds is actually bullshit, I died at least 4 times because I would pull up for the melee, hit the wall, and just get fucked
I refunded here. Got waxed by him twice. Figured out how to beat him the second time... he goes out of bounds. If that's your design in a tutorial boss I'm good on moving forward.
If you stuck in one boss build diferent mechas and try. Your build is not bad for the spider tho, explosive damage is good against her, but try spider legs instead tank ones and stay in the air and take off the melee weapon for something else. Also you unlocked 2 shields with arena points and you can only equip 1, so is a waste of points until you can get everything in ng+. Reset the points and i suggest to invest first in 3º shield > damage reduction 15% > repair kits +2000 > your primare damage source (explosive in this case)

My favourite since Black Ops 2 tbh. Elden ring was amazing but this beats it out a little for me
@lileofficial4273 Damm that's crazy
I really really hope its successful enough that it starts a whole mech genre the way Demon Souls started a wholw genre
Can you guys tell me if it is you first mech game or Armored Core?
I am a fan since the PSone demo disc.
Armored was like AC6 from the very start.
But the press never appreciate it, so most of the public assumed it was garbage.
That led to Armored 4 and 5, which I didn't like. 4 was the first attempt to change the formula.
You know "Customization is Crazy" its not only coloring your mecha in HappyMeal 🤣

First time playing an AC game. The controls feel so fluid and I was able to beat the tutorial boss first attempt. I’m sure it’ll get a lot harder, but im impressed by how natural it felt.
>"I don't even know what's happening, I can't see the attacks"
>proceeds to blindly rush the boss in melee range without trying to figure out his attack patterns for 3 hours
what i gathered from the sea spider:
- there are two beam attacks in the first phase. first version: two blasts that aim during a short charge. avoid these by strafing at range. he can start charging as soon as he wakes up from stun so you need to be at range before he wakes up. second version: an arcing beam that doesnt aim during its (longer) charge. when you see its not aiming, you know its this version of the beam. get in close and unload--it cant hit close.

@biggierocc1935 right, I actually forgot the plane is considered the first boss but Balteus is the real first boss.
I love how Asmongold already knew how to defeat the first boss from videos etc., yet he acts clueless :D
There's no one way to play and that probably gives it replayability
Big respect for him sticking with his tank with everyone back-seating.
Lol big respect. Bro doesn't even know how to drift with the tank and doesn't use assault boost. It's like you taking your chicken legs but not quick boosting and utilizing the thing your part is made for
I love every time he just spams melee when he's like 600 meters away from the enemy and just swings at nothing. It's incredible.
Also doesn't assault boost to get in melee range. Doesn't know how to drift with the tank which is a core oart of it's movement

This man sure has some gaming endurance. First time playing .. 7 hour stream.
Who'd have known Asmongold would play to the stubborn old man trope at such a young age.
I wish konami would bring back Zone of the Enders, that game was so good, the second one is really good.
That 1st attempt at the chopper was unreal. Almost 1st try.
man he got so lucky that balteus didnt use his melee a single time until the very last 10 seconds
You can paste and copy color schemes so you don't have to paint each individual part with your theme. Paste them to your 'User' list. This applies to patterns too and their color schemes.
Watching him fight the cleaner is so crazy, I had more issues with Belius than he did but since I was a quad core I just flew over the cleaner and ignored half the mechanics and shot all my shit straight down into his weakpoint XD

crazy the different play styles balteus took me like 10 attempts sea spider and smart cleaner i first attempted with 0 issues
The 4 legs with the hover are a must for that spinning/flying spider boss. GL
The first boss being able to fly out of bounds is actually bullshit, I died at least 4 times because I would pull up for the melee, hit the wall, and just get fucked
A lot of them do that, unfortunately. The bosses are way more Souls than actual Armored Core, but the game is still a banger on the whole.
@MrXinshadow There are plenty of Armored Core bosses as well. AC bosses are literally just ACs, and there are tons of those fights in the game.
