Broken Arrow is the equivalent of Alabama in football or North Carolina in basketball. The kids start practicing in June and work 2 a days every day for months. They have won grand nationals (National Championship) 3 times in the last decade. My nephew and grandson have been part of national championship bands for Broken Arrow with my grandson being part of this show. Congratulations Pride of Broken Arrow!!
I was in the Colorguard for this show and it makes me so happy that this show had such a positive impact on people. Especially people who aren’t familiar with how these competitions work.
this is not true. the program is mostly fundraised from students and their members have fees for the year that mainly pay for the essentials. Money has no involvement
Hi Marvin, I have been waiting for someone to reacted to this. This was the Grand National Championship, and they won with a record breaking score of 98.2. Blue coats were the the marching band musicians. The pink ones were the color guard with flags. Both the musicians and the color guard had dance moves. The color guard did most of the dancing.
actually this wasn’t grand nats, i don’t know what this one is it might be super regional but i was at grand nationals and this isn’t the stadium they were in
0:52 BOA basically just stands for Bands of America. It’s an organization that runs all of these competitions on the regional, super regional, and national level. It’s not affiliated with the US Government or School System though so it’s a separate thing from state run championship competitions with its own set of requirements of which the bands are scaled by and such

So the "dancers" are The colorguard generally they focus more on flags, rifles and Sabres and they are the described as putting the picture to the music or the icing on a cake :)

Hey Marvin....BOA stands for Bands of America and every November the BOA Grand Nationals are held in Indianapolis, IN.....Broken Arrow won this year only because Hebron went to the Rose Parade in California....try to do a spot on 2021 Vandergrift & The Woodlands, both from Texas and both every year national title contenders!!!
In my opinion, Broken Arrow Marching Band is the greatest band in the United States. And to think, these are high school kids. College bands doesnt match them.

I’m a huge broken arrow fan! They were what I dreamed of being when I was in HS marching band. We competed in BOA but nowhere near at their level.
Training for what you are watching on the screen is a lot of work and trust me it’s not easy

My granddaughter Emma is in color guard for the BA Pride! 3xtremely proud of her and all these kids! Excellence in music and action!
