- On one of his frequent visits to Bristol, the Primemutton decided that it was high time to explore the Bristol Pub scene. Mutton had tried a fair few Bristol brews in other cities , and while the City is Quite well known for its cider, it has a fair few decent beers as well.
With an invitation to the New Bristol Brewery taproom thrown in , Mutton really couldn't go wrong, and one of the beers in their range has now become one of Mutton's firm favourites.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of Bristol pubs . Apart from being invited to taste at the New Bristol Brewery tap room , the other pubs came about as a result of recommendations from my Instagram followers. I do also have a Bristol cider vlog in the pipeline.
For next time:
Merchants arms
The Lion
Highbury vaults
Hillgrove
Kings head
The Cornubia
The Barley Mow (by temple meads)
Just to confirm there are no mock tudor buildings in King Street the Landrover Trow was used as the inspiration for the pub in the beginning of the book Treaure Island and is genuinely 400+ years old.
"Llandoger". I think your spell checker is having a 'mare 😉 They keep a great range of beers
Very good, I like Bristol and the beer and the pubs all looked excellent. I went to the Wigan beer festival last Friday some good stuff there.
As an exiled blue in North Somerset and a Jazz fan, great to watch your visit to the Old Duke.
Discoved the mutton from instagram, loving the youtube side of things as well!
I love how you just enjoy the pint and give an honest assessment rather than a pretentious scoring number such as @3:10! Great Vlogs!
Thank you 🙏 I don’t like giving numbers out to grade pints especially as that would entail remembering all the pints I’ve had before
Lovely Video. The Jersey Lilly looked awesome
Love you mutton . Off to Amsterdam tomorrow with the villa
Have a good trip!
Great video. The milk stout would've been my favourite by the sounds of it 😋 and although I'm not keen on IPA that Mello Yello needs trying (quite rightly) Btw Mutton, I called into the Fringe Bar in Manchester and tried the London Black, I found it just okay but maybe it wasn't on form that night. I will try it again though if I see it on. Just come back from Leeds at the weekend and tried the Guinness there, Whitelocks was okay 7.5/10 but had a couple of great pints in The Parkside Tavern 8/10 and also the Psilo Bar in the city centre which was outstanding 9.5/10 👏 Slainte 👍
Awesome video
Mutton you are the man
Prime Mutton is the ultimate bon viveur! I bumped into you outside the Bell and Crown in Chiswick before the Brentford match, hope all is well 👍

I am organising a trip to Bridgnorth in the start of May with our Brew club here! They need to experience some West Midlands beer and Bridgnorth is the place to go for Ales!
