    It’s been a while since I came back from Turkey, but I did film a series of classic “Mutton tours” vlogs . Quite tough when filming a “daily kebab “ vlog every day. .
    Istanbul is THE place where kebabs and cuisine from all over Turkey can be found , but it’s also a city riddled with tourist traps . I hope my videos in this series help you avoid some of those pitfalls.

    I love this channel. Absolutely superb and - unlike a lot of food TH-camrs - you actually know about food.

      I do agree that a lot of food TH-camrs appear to be regurgitating a script and seem to rarely drink wine or beer with their food . I would guess that most of them start with little knowledge but do eventually accrue a lot .

      @@primemutton exactly. I'd argue that with a dish like Cassoulet it's actually incomplete without red wine. I'd never dream of eating it without. Yet American's will often eat it with a coke or something. Just wrong.

    Ah I tried the first kebabs you show in the video, a few years ago in Istanbul and I have since been craving them but couldn’t find a video anywhere! Thank you so much for this, Turkey for sure is the kebab heaven❤

      Thanks , I’ve completed my trip to Turkey and have quite a few more videos of istanbul and other parts of Turkey to publish , and yes I really miss the kebabs, but I always feel as if I’m enjoying the experience a second time when I edit the videos!

    Mr Mutton great vlog as always, enjoy your enthusiasm for good food and drink after all we are what we eat. I can help with the fat bodied teardrop shaped mandola you saw in the music shop as I'ts commonly used since 1960's in Irish trad folk music. It's called a Bauzouki but is originally from Greece and has roots to Turkey. It's a beautiful sound (try "the craggan white hair" by Daoiri Farrell to get a flavour, pardon the pun). As always look forwards to the great content and informative commentary from a fellow foody out here in the Philippines. Chow !

    Surely perfect accompaniment with a kebab is a cold Turkish beer😅

      It’s supposed to be quite cold , though I am not there at the moment . It rarely gets savagely cold there thought

    Generally Turkey seems to be a bit of a dangerous place to go for tourists, is this not the case? btw love the series

    • @primemutton
      @primemutton  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Turkey is not dangerous , I suspect the media has spooked you a bit . A lot of western tourists visit , I also met a few Americans in the south east of Turkey. Yes there was a bomb in istanbul last autumn but there have been such incidents in the past in the USA Britain France and Belgium just to name a few countries . I would say that Turkey is actually safer petty crime wise .

    You have some amazing content and insight, but you simply must move the camera further from your face so you’re not filling the frame as much. Think about the selfie stick or other holder your using for your camera. You deserve way more views but your crowding out the frame too much its off putting.

    • @primemutton
      @primemutton  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      interesting , does anyone else feel the same way? one thing I can say is that for my football vlogs , I simply cannot bring a selfie stick into the ground. But I'd be interested to hear other viewer's views for the food vlogs.

      I think the way you film is unique to you and works really well
