    Geometry and mathematics play a crucial role in understanding the vast complexities of astrophysics, from the shape of galaxies to the behavior of black holes. Their principles help us decode the structure of the universe and predict cosmic phenomena. How might future mathematical advancements and geometric theories further enhance our understanding of the cosmos?

    What did I learn this Summer?
    I learned the difference between a Cemetery and a Graveyard.
    The difference is;
    A Cemetery is a City or Municipal burial ground, with all the associated crypts, etc.
    And a Graveyard is a burial ground, with all the associated crypts, etc. but either attached to or on the property of a Church.
    👍

    9:59 to 15:40 is like a sequel to some of the discussion in NDT and Donald Goldsmith's book "Origins", leading right up to Michio Kaku's books (Physics of the Impossible & Hyperspace specifically, but as a proponent of string theory, he brings it up in the books of his that I've read). What's new to me, here, is what these books haven't mentioned: how an entire universe is packed into the size smaller than a proton, and Tyson actually says right here that at the temperatures of the early universe, matter is not matter as we know it but more like energy; and Liu adds to that with possibilities like extra dimensions and particles that may not even exist anymore. Fantastic!

    People think that science is learning a bunch of facts but science is actually has a lot of creativity. It is not just scientists like art, you have to be somewhat creative to became a scientist. My wife is a neuroscientists and I am an artist and I realize this all the time. She sometimes is more creative than me in her job and I found my self more like a copy machine than a creative artist. On my bad days.

    On the twins thing...... Twin1 and twin2 are at Central Station. Twin1 stays on the platform with 2 mirrors facing each other. Twin2 gets on a train with 2 mirrors facing each other . While the train is still a beam of light is started in each pair of mirrors. 186,000 miles per second is how far each beam of light goes between each pair of mirrors. Twin2 starts in the train and is soon traveling 1 mile a second. Very fast train. The light between twin2's mirror now travels 186,000 miles each second but 1 of those miles is in the direction of the train. Locally, for him, between the 2 mirrors the light travels 185,999 miles each second. Twin2 is 1/186,000th of a second younger each second than twin1.
