Ghost you're absolutely right. I had to change afterburner off of shift because the muscles in my pinky would get in the way of my yaw left control. My view change and afterburner are both bound to my mouse to prevent them from getting in the way of my yaw controls. All good jet pilots are always yawing in either direction except when flying straight. I noticed a huge difference in my turn radius when I learned how to coordinate yawing and turning.
Alan Lee Yep, makes a huge difference mate. This may seem common sense to most jet pilots, but I know a lot of people don't do it too.

bloody hell all i do is roll to the left or right and pitch up and i still do very well i win most of my dogfights but this info will help me get those really annoying jets that we just fight for ever because we can't kill each other lol

How could I do the yaw in ps3? Is it possible? Or is it just me that I don't get it?
Hey Ghost, your afterburners on the upwards are a bit late and missing one burst. That's why when you entered the cockpit, you were at 298-ish. Try bursting a second earlier but burst in taps rather than holds.
So when I fly, its 3 taps on the upwards (give or take 1 depending on the speed entering loop) with the last tap on the top of the curve (the point just before the gravity accelerates the jet) to make sure it doesn't kill the speed.
Awesome Vid Ghost. I've felt like there has been a part of my flying missing and this may be it. Would like to mention. Before I started watching your vids, I was worse than useless in the jets. I had my best round ever of 24-0 and owe much if not all of the success to you. (p.s. I JDAM).

how did you bind your pedals? I can bind my joystick but as soon as i connect my pedals and try to bind them to yaw. Bf4 binds them to axis 1 x before i can even touch my pedals. i have binded axis 1 x already to rolling from joystick.
yea i guess its because my pedals right brake gives value to x axis...

A question, do you keep both your hands on your keyboard for maneuvering and when your about to shoot you switch hands to your mouse?
No mate I always use left hand keyboard and right hand mouse for everything.
Quick question how do you keep your screen from turning with the jet? Also love the vid but I found out I've been doing this tactic by accident the entire time, lol.
jalen garcia Yeah, a lot of people learn to do this without thinking about it :).
It's an option in the advanced gameplay settings called 'Jet Roll', just turn it to 'Off'.

Beautiful video as always. Any ways how to do this on console. As in to pull back the speed while trying to yaw.
I end up having my yaw joystick at a diagonal angle which does nothing on yaw and lowers your speed very very slowly!
On stick, you need a lot of practise. For me, since I can do a full yaw while pulling down, I often use rudder while going up and control speed while going down. Its really advanced stuff where you'll need to yaw so for the earlier learning curve, just nail down speed control and accuracy before getting ahead
I'm fine with speed control, aiming and so on. Just that manoeuvre gets me F'ed up. I usually do a flat diagonal loop when being chased pop ECM then start doing my flips and stuff.
WSW ARSFC Can't you change controller settings so that speed control is on R1 and L1 instead?
Nah cause I use L1 as a quick flare button. so I don't have to move my whole hand to counter an active radar missile.
Hello Ghost, do you use the rudder all the time or just a short while after crossing the enemy?
I use it pretty much all the time when turning, sometimes reverse rudder switching is a good idea though where for example - you turn left and rudder right.

Kieran McGrady I was just going to ask that. The spring patch messed me up so bad with attack jets. I cant tell if I am making the tightest corners or if Sythmic is bullshitting me. Sythmic says that that the best turning speed is still around 313 mph but I don't buy that. I keep getting out cornered in dog fights now. Even against other attack jets. Ghost, if you are out there, can you make another video like this one. Just with Attack jets?

I do this all the time. Always have. But I can still never do it as quickly and sharply as this. It might be because I'm using the Attack jet? I don't know the speed control for that after the last patch. I don't even know if there is one now
sirnicko1 Yeah the attack jet got pooped on in the spring patch, I barely use it anymore.
Ghost Gaming I use it as it's my favourite. Nothing better than a good JDAM kill IMO. Plus I'm getting the 500 kills for each jet on them...

Bb you know id never nerf the jets but in CTE ive heard the attacks jets are like they were pre spring patch pls do vid on cte's newest update
The Attack Jets are fine on the CTE, there's really nothing to tell in a video, they are the same as they were pre-patch from what I can feel.
Thats all i needed to know, as long as they come back to how they are supposed to be i wont retire from this game just yet
