My wife asked me why I was sitting in front of my computer screen wearing my full face helmet, when I told her it was raining in Germany she shook her head and left the room! Still enjoying the ride regardless of the rain. Looking forward to the next part and hopefully i'll be able to "ride" in good weather.😀😀
Unfortunately many bikers have the bad habit of hugging the centre line forgetting when they lean they are actually at great danger from being struck by oncoming motorists who actually are generally minding their own business!
There is another great advantage to riding solo. Riding in a group your socializing stays within the group. Riding solo you meet new people and new friends.
This is a enjoyable tour series, thanks for bringing us along. I normally take a chain and padlock on tour and when I want to go for a wander I chain everything to the bike.
It’s very kind of you to share with us your traveling adventures on a beautiful and marvelous bike as the Honda gold wing. We can watch and feel the smoothness of that six cilindres engine working. Thanks a lot !👌👌
When I was stationed in Osnabruck Germany with the military, we would often comment on how spotless the country was. Also how much pride people took in keeping their house and property clean. Holland was the same, you would always notice as soon as you came off the ferry how run down some areas in the UK were. Awesome tour Andy, hope Mrs Flyer is keeping dry and warm sat on the gold wing throne waving at all the peasants 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
Nice route! And yes, even if the roads in the UK are curvy and nice...these roads are without heavy traffic, no parked cars all over the road, without a roundabout every second mile and no hedges. Makes a more troublefree ride! Thank you mr Flyer!
Been following Andy for a while, but this episode made me realize (after mentioned in other episodes) how much he loves his cake :) Safe travels to you and your crew, greets from Belgium, Steven ps: as other people already mentioned thanks for the series and the work you put into your other videos, top notch quality each time!
Stayed in Vianden and toured through that area more than once, lovely. Lock your clothing on the bike with a long cable lock and a disk lock, useful for any soft luggage too…
Even more great sweeping roads, and the towns you pass seem to be from a fairy tale. Loving the interaction with your fellow travellers too. Although, I must admit to doing solo trips. As stated, you only have yourself to please, and it forces me to try and speak to locals.
The white flash bars on the corner are a guide for motorcyclists to stay away from the centreline - like the circles in the Alps. They change length through the corner as well. Another great vid - thanks TMF. Aha - I see you two worked it out even in the video... oh no, stopped the vid mid ride - have to wait for the next episode... :) G NZ

Well kept sums up what they manage and we don't, sadly. They respect their country. Thanks for the reminder. And well done on the cobbles. I will never get used to them. Happy travels 👍
Shiny cobblestones..........a few yrs back when were were abroad in Portugal, I hired a scooter for 4 days - we did over 300 miles on it and during that trip we visited a hill top fort.........the road at the top was made of the most polished cobblestones I've ever ridden on in my life.........up a steep hill then sharp right......navigated by yours truly with the wife on the back in the most undignified wobbly fashion you can imagine..........managed to stay upright though......the ride back down was just as "entertaining".....
Excellent tour series TMF. A lovely part of Europe. Been to Vianden a couple of times a few years back. Stayed in Belgium at Butgenbach, close to the Luxembourg border, at a lovely hotel there called Butgenbacher Hof. Not many Brits go there, but would highly recommend it. Next time you go to that area, check it out, I think you will like it.

It actually makes me embarrassed to think of visitors to Blighty with our pot holed roads and litter strewn verges, if they can do it why can't we ? Thank you...
Hi Flyer's rider team, I am living there and ride too, next time I offer you a beer! Nice road but still need to be carefull, nice surface but very narrow with non constant curve and some fast drivers. Avoid rush hours. Ride safe.

Hi Andy, Send you a picture of Vianden castle through twitter. I had the same type of weather then. That region in Luxemburg and Germany is great for riding and hiking. German food is great. Your German is a bit rusty 😋

Nowt wrong with that!
They call in Germany that what you had to eat in Luxemburg a Nussecke, If you find a good bakery then they are fantastic, otherwise they are absolutely disgusting.
Generally, I am dissapointed with German baking skills, looks all fine and fancy, but tastes boring.
Enjoyed your trip, I was recently in the Ardennes - lovely.
Look forward to Episode 5.
Have fun and ride safe.
Thank you for that - love a bit of local intel!
The roads look in much better condition than UK roads.
They are!
Luxembourg is a beautiful country 😍
Sure is!
Hi your trip looks great only wish my other half would agree to let me
do something similar. I see your sticker saying “ride on right” great idea but what is the other one to the right under the temperature gauge. safe riding. 👍
That was a couple of phone numbers (or part of them)….
@@TheMissendenFlyer 🤣thank you I thought was another tip whilst ride overseas.
SATNAVs need to have a setting to avoid "Cobblestone" especially wet cobblestone, the rider's kryptonite.
That would be handy!
"It's not local, it's from Germany", he says, standing 500 m away from the German border :D
You know what I meant….!
Hi Andy,
Send you a picture of Vianden castle through twitter.
I had the same type of weather then.
That region in Luxemburg and Germany is great for riding and hiking.
German food is great. Your German is a bit rusty 😋
It sure is!
@@TheMissendenFlyer did you see the photo?
You keep skipping the beer drinking, if they had cut the final scene from Ice Cold in Alex no one would remember that movie you’re definitely missing a trick there. However the cake eating was excellent 👍 well done.
He he - noted for future ref…
Always fill the tank in Luxemburg if you're in de neighborhood.
