Ive almost stopped playing music because of mental health problems ,but when I see my fellow Aussie playing like this it makes me want to keep going and give the music to those who need it most, the lost , the lonely , the abandoned , and the unwanted in this world , keep going orianthi, fly the flag with pride
Right off the bat, huge difference between Orianthi and the rest of today's "performers". THEY all say to the audience "thanks for coming and making tonight possible for ME", Orianthi says "It's great to see you, I hope you like (these songs}".
The stage presence, the technical fretworks & the singing, she's got it all.
Very impressive. Guitarists, please notice the tremendous variety of techniques in right and left hand fingering. Her performance is varied, interesting, and highly original. Totally excellent.
Mesmerising. Heard all the great players since 1963. Play a bit myself. She is brilliant and unique which is the stand out thing to me. Fabulous
Same to me. I am a '70 metalhead, but I like other genres too. She is enchanting. I am also mesmerized. Glad to hear this instead of a lot stuff people make now.

Some of these post amaze me. All the people that post something negative about her. If you guys are such experts in the music industry, then why do you not have your own albums? At the end of the day, she will always be better than you. She, at such a young age, has a fan base that covers the globe.

Carlos Santana passed the torch to her and rightfully so. Never have I seen such extreme talent. Boggles my mind, and so young compared to anyone at this level of playing.

Her stage.presence is as awesome as her technical skills.
I friggin' LOVE her playing. She's got a great combination of speed, technique, and attitude laid over a solid as hell blues base! She is exactly what I like in my guitar players and exactly what I would love to sound like. Anyone who knocks her talent and says that she is only getting attention because she is female is either jealous, stupid, or both. I consider Steve Vai to be one of the greatest ever. If he wants to play with her, that should tell you all you need to know. If you don't like her style, that's all well and good. Taste in music, like any art, is purely subjective. But to knock her talent, that is just stupid.

The idea of gender is a stupid limitation on our lives. I remember hearing resentment directed at Joan Jet when she began crashing the gender divide +30 years ago. The kind of whining I hear directed at Orianthi for breaking out is the same kind of stupidity. She deserves credit for persisting. Orianthi is the genuine article and more power to her!

Same thing happens to me, bro. I've watched this 3 or 4 times and every time my eyes tear up. I think it's the combination of a beautiful girl, her unbelievable talent and the passion with which she plays. Orianthi is truly special and unique!!
I've only just discovered this girl in the last couple of days and I have to say that she is one excellent player with a very bright future !

I've just discovered her and I recently have leaned into the blues my spirit pretty much lead me into writing and singing n playing the blues I really like blues won't leave me alone , how do you sleep , give into me rawks needless to say I dig her style the whole 9 she's badassness epic so I'm waiting for more and I as well love SRV she kicked ass on V.C I want her to become a god of music can't wait to maybe meet her I'd like to ask her few things and a hand shake well Miss thang you have another fan .

Love Orianthi, Love her tone, she sounds like she has a Wah-Wah and probably doesn't have. She has guitars like Santana, and sometimes plays with him. She played with Michael Jackson.

Damn, I just recalled typing this comment, it vaguely reminds me of some Jethro Tull instrumental, and some pieces of Dream Theater Majesty Demo songs. This track - it was music to my ears!

There are only two females that can tear up a guitar to the max, Eva Vergilova, and Orianthi, they are so far ahead of there time its mind blowing to say the least, Eva can play left handed as well, Orianthi can sing so i have them equals.

Average guitarist? What? Ori is definitely not an average guitarist. This girl rocks and is a top of the line guitarist who has earned respect from Steve Vai, Santana , etc. She played with Alice Cooper, Michael Jackson, etc. She can waste most guy guitar players who think they are all that.

Exquisite technique timing and soul. I could listen to this over and over. I could see why it would only appeal to a discriminating ear though. I'm going to have to check out more of her video offerings.
Take a few of the guys who criticise her and put them up there where she is on this vid and watch them reach for their best bedroom lick while they try and control their stage sound and lead a band and drive the tune. Watch them sweat.
