Thanks for your video. I really enjoy it, but I have a question. Are you using a small sinker to cast the bread or cast the breath or are you using a weighted floater please explain thank you
Hey mate, no sinker and no float, just really light braid and leader. I'm squashing the bread onto the hook so it's like dough which gives it a bit of weight to cast, don't need to cast far, then I really slowly wind in so it stays near the surface, hope that helps, good luck 🤞
It a Daiwa Generation Black Wild Weasel 2-6kg, its 13 years old, lol, but still going strong, use it for just about everything in the creeks and rivers including jacks.
Nice fun little video, I remember chasing mullet as a kid using bread and a float they always went hard. lol The water there looks reasonable, is the entrance still open? Visiting that way next week and plan the get the kayak out hopefully for a flatty or a jack. 👍
I never really follow this but did you know Small (poddy) Under 15 cm - 20 in total* for live bait only, Sea (bully) only 30 cm 20 in total*. The fisheries officer would have to be a wanker for fining you for mullet when we can't even throw a net.
Ok, I actually thought you were only allowed 15 poddy mullet under 15cms for bait, but haven't checked the rules on that for a long time. I find 10 is enough for me for a session most days anyway. But yeah wish we could throw a cast net in NSW😭
@@LoveYakkenthe under 15cm for live bait only applies to juvenile sea mullet (poddy) only. Looks like the ones caught here are sand mullet (pointer profile, more greenish and the yellow spot of the cheek) so no size limits but still counts to the combined bag limit of 20 mullet (of all species).
Awesome bro, nice one! Good fun wee fellas
Cheers mate
Wow I usually use a tiny hook but hoot to see that that works🎉
Yeah Flynn, I use to use a really tiny hook but got sick of the mullet or small bream swallowing it too deep to get out so now use a small long shank.
Thats a great method cheers, they can be hard to get some days
They definitely are, hope this helped you out!
@LoveYakken always enjoy learning new things mate, definitely helped
Trying to find good spots around Coffs I’ve lived here for just over a year in Toormina but still struggling to find spots great video tho mate🎉

I’ve never met a fisho that wasn’t a complete wanker and I’ve been a pro for 20 years.
