I can't even turn mine on because it doesn't come with a plug, how do you power it? I understand it comes with a USB-A to USB-C Power Cord but I don't understand how to use it, please help.
I remember saving up for the ossc pro back in 2019 and its 2024 no and we are STILL WAITING LMFAO. literally the 5x pro came out and now the 4k is out. we have evolved so much that the ossc pro probably won't be as good as the tink 4k. so I guess I'm thankful that Mike exists
The Tink 4k deinterlaces these signals. There also several settings for the deinterlacer. If you have the option to go for progressive output (through modding or video cables) though, do it. Deinterlaced images don't look great.
Oh my god I just beat the worlds hardest game with 998 deaths oh my god i genuinley thought i wasnt gonna get a subx1000 oh my god i just said oh my god 3 times (now 4) Edit: I just got a 324 death completion holy moly bigoly crapadoodles Edit: In the same day as my 324 death thingy, i got a 120 thingy
That half a frame of input delay is totally BS, I was expecting it to have truly zero input delay from the way they marketed this product, I'm gonna have to wait for another upscaler this good with no input delay to come out, might never happen lmao
0 ms delay with 120 Hz output would violate causality. Since the output from the scaler is twice as fast as the output from the console, it has to wait until half of the frame is done processing on the console. Else the output from the scaler would be ahead of the output from the console. But the lower you go on the screen, the lower the delay is.
I keep getting different answers with Tink4K latency. 2.5ms - (Tink4K + Frame Lock?) 8.3ms - (Tink4K's Black frame insertion) and then, the 10ms from your OLED TV's game mode. If correct, that's just over 20ms of lag. Double the amount of latency compared to what you'd get gaming at 60fps on an OLED TV. Or without BFI, it would just be 2.5ms from TINK4K, and then 10ms from your TV, which is just over 12ms total. I plan on hooking up an NES, SNES, Genesis & TGFX to RetroTINK4K and then to a 42" LG C3 OLED TV, as an alternative to my 27" Sony WEGA CRT. A 42" 'QD'-OLED would be ideal, but samsung probably won't be selling them at that size until next year.

So jealous, wish I could afford a 4K, or even a 5X lol

@@hsblue fr tho. Should probs just save for a 5x now, kinda hoping they become a bit cheaper now the 4k is out
@PowercellZeke what do you have right now?
@@hsblue I have a $40 component to HDMI converter. It gets the job done but it's really not great lmao
No point for 120hz unless you also use black frame insertion Then it iwll be required.
Does Tink4K convert NES, SNES, Genesis & Turbo GraFx games to progressive scan, or are they still interlaced when paired with a 42" OLED TV?

Uhhhh, I think I understand?

0ms delay isn't possible
That's very sad that it isn't possible, hopefully it will be achieved someday
Good luck with that!
