It Chapter 2 - What Happened When The Cast First Saw Pennywise? | SYFY WIRE
The Eddie casting was imo the most realistic- the close-up transition scene in the movie from young to adult Eddie was perfect
Agreed. He was the stand-out for me.
that shot was a straight flex on how well he was casted lmao
Dude, it was UNCANNY how much they looked alike, and you notice it immediately.
I could also recognize the young ben in the older ben

I need to see bill acting normal in full pennywise makeup
We all. We all.
This. Because honestly he played so well that pennywise might be real.

It’s actually kind of crazy to see the resemblance between the kid actors with the adult actors. Amazing cast honestly
I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE! LITERALLY! lmao

He better not be lying about that supercut, sounds like the ode to the book we all need.
He is cashing in for WB .. WB probably gonna add him as their go to director
Promises can be promised, but will they be fulfilled? I would love to see a super cut, I was talking about it as soon as I saw the first movie, then read the book.
Kevin_56 he better not have lied or we’ll all die
I remember Andy saying that there was about 35 minutes missing from the first one too. Either a super cut or directors cut of both movies separate. Im fine with either or
I would love to at least see directors cuts of both films. But if the supercut does happen I’ll be one VERY happy fan!
I think they cast the older version of Eddie very well, he looks SO MUCH like Jack Dylan Grazer.
I once killed A man with my shoe I think a lil older version of steve carell would look exactly like an older version of jack dylan.
Yesss
adult stan looked very similar to the kid version in my opinion

I liked It Chapter 2. The dance scene was funny, but my favorite scene was Eddie throwing shade on Bower’s mullet.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That whole scene was pure gold 😂

Gabriel Rivas in the movie Richie mocks Pennywise’s dance from the first movie. It’s pretty funny 😆

I guarantee that they make a horror prequel called "Pennywise" about his origins
I garuntee they are not capable of doing so. They already explained his origins as far as our human minds could comprehend, and stephen king already did so in the book.
If youre too lazy to read it, pennywise exists outside the edge of a macroverse. A massive turtle named maturan lives just outside our universe, which is literally his vomit, and pennywise, in the form of deadlights lives just outside the turtle’s universe. It came to earth in the beginning back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and sculpted Derry in its own image, a hunting ground. Thats literally everything that Pennywise is. He is literally boiled down to everything he is in the movie, which is just a creature from outer outer space that eats people. Thats it.
@@MNDarkfire you got it and pennywise confused pennywise was a legit person much like bowers they even showed his creation scene w the facepaint and scratches
David Richards that actually wasn’t his creation. That was just pennywise messing with beverly to confuse and scare her.
there’s an excerpt from the book where it describes why it likes the form of a clown. It basically explains that clowns at the time of the story are fun and children are easily lured in by clowns. It’s real form and origin is the dead Lights. His physical form is whatever he wants to be... when hes not portraying himself as a clown or childrens worst fears, the closest thing a human mind can comprehend It to be is a giant space spider.
It doesn't really have an origin story written out. There isn't anything concrete for them to really pull from as Pennywise isn't this complex character that had a lot of development go into who/what it is. The best they can do is shoot a movie about The Black Spot, The Bradley Gang shooting, and The Silver Dollar Ax Murders.
Good lord people chill out lol they are most likely going to do it because it’s gonna make money and be interesting for fans
End game “we will be a 3 hour long movie”
It directors cut - hold my footage
Wasn't it 3 hour's long already?
Why So Serious? More than 3 hours
@@angelguzman6115 Well shiit how about that, thanks for the confirmation
That's just the version we got, if we got a lot more ideas and stuff in the original it probably would've been a lot longer. But I think the director may be over exaggerating the run time.
Dippy Dinosaur no it was meant to be more than 3 hours and the finished film was meant to be 4+ hours but got shortened down to 2:45 run time

erin it was a great movie but didn’t you guys think it was wayyyy too long and paced very slowly
Absolutely not. Understand that this is a 1000+ page Goliath masterpiece of literature. The films only 2 hours 40. It’s a journey of self discovery those aren’t always fast.
I mean I liked the R+E but I kinda felt like they were hinting that Richie loved Stan, I mean as his adult version you saw (mostly towards the end) that Richie really cared about Eddie but the movie seemed like it wanted us to realize he loved Stan, so the R+E confused me bc I thought it was gonna be R+S😂 idk if any of that made any sense
SHIPP!!!
This was super well done. I laughed so much. Adult Richie and Eddie killed it.
Eddie got the last laugh with his last roast on Richie, and Richie is crying because he has no comeback to it haha
They really did. I’m so happy the movie did their characters justice.

I love the fact as a producer she wanted the adult cast to look A LOT LIKE THE CHILD CAST! And Barbara u guys did an amazing job at that unlike other movies where the young and adult character actors look nothing alike. One example is the best of me.. young 16 year old dawson and 46year old dawson...
They looked mountain n ocean apart.. luke bracey as 16 (dude was 27!) looked older than james marsden! And its like 14yrs of age difference of those actors too.
Casting directors everywhere should take note!
Weird. First person I think of seeing Sophia Lillis is Amy Adams.

What’s crazy is that the kids that played the role in the first film are set for life on money.
Bsharp_ 52 Not always. You’d be surprised how many big movies pay the kids almost nothing. Hopefully they payed good though, they were great.
Devareay Dream Machine You also have to take account the fees they pay their manager who got them the role and then their agency. If they had any personal assistant, the stylist and home school teachers.. That always sucks up most of the pay check. Don’t get it wrong they’re still rich but not as rich as people paint them to be. They never pocket ALL the money they reportedly made for a film
If they dnt spend it all on drugs or booze like many ,or buyin castles lol

Beerus Damian i wish they would... I’m still confused as to how the lights chose Pennywise and how he transitioned from a regular circus clown to a cannibalistic monster lol.
Murphy yeah right
Murphy
Forgive me for my shitty explanation because I haven’t read the books in ages. Basically Pennywise is some alien thing from far out of space and cake to Earth at the beginning of its time. Derry was created in the image of him and essentially he eats children. His true form is basically an alien spider (at least that’s what humans are able to comprehend) but he is a shape shifter and can turn into whatever he wants, the clown is just his favourite form because at the time clowns were seen as fun and friendly, perfect to lure children in. Sorry for the shitty explanation. I don’t think a prequel would be wise because there simply isn’t enough backstory to do one.
@@ElmotypeSwag he is not a normal clown he is a demonic being who can be the form of anything but chooses a clown his original form is the dead lights he has been around for thousands of years
