    Hi - are you planning to do a review for The new Tiguan?

    • @roadpilgrim
      @roadpilgrim  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! Coming up in August

    How is this car in stop and go traffic?

    • @roadpilgrim

      The auto start/stop isn’t quite as seamless and quick as some of the more premium BMW models in my opinion. But other than that the car is quite spritely off the line. Moves easily.

    This or the Active Tourer would be a better buy?

      Same engine and same chassis. They feel almost identical to drive. But the X1 is definitely the more complete package overall.

    Hi - the three cylinder engine has got a lot of attention versus the upcoming GLA’s mild hybrid engine. Buy this or wait for the new GLA?

    • @roadpilgrim
      @roadpilgrim  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well I guess it depends on which variant of the upcoming GLA is available to you. If hybridisation is important to you, then the GLA is a good option. I haven’t tested the new GLA so I can’t say which drives better - but you can’t go wrong with the X1. It’s very refined for a 3 cylinder, makes a nice sound, and driving dynamics are good. Space utilisation is also excellent.

    Why is it labeled a 2022, whwn the revised x1 starts with the 2023 year designation?

    • @roadpilgrim

      Hey thanks for the question. This car was actually launched in Singapore in Dec 2022. Thus for the Singapore market we refer to it as a 2022 model.

    This or the GLB? Provided the GLB has been around for quite sometime alr

    • @roadpilgrim
      @roadpilgrim  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Unless you need the 7 seats from the GLB or you have a brand inclination toward Mercedes-Benz, I think the X1 is a better buy. Better engine, good looking, and technologically more up to date.

    how is the boot space like?

    • @roadpilgrim
      @roadpilgrim  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s 540 litres which is class leading. For reference the current GLA and Q3 have about 100 litres less.

    was that engine growl piped into the cabin?

    • @roadpilgrim
      @roadpilgrim  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is. 😂 to be fair though, the 3 cylinder does sound quite decent on its own as well.

      The only time I drove this vehicle, I could feel a lot of noise from the engine and definitely a bit of rattle. Steering is very light , but the ride is a bit firm

    We in Malaysia are lucky. We get xdrive20. I heard the the drive is quite jigling. Is that true?

    • @roadpilgrim
      @roadpilgrim  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ah ok that’s good. Probably a much better drive with the 4 cylinder. But wouldn’t you just buy an X3 in that case?

      I drive the previous generation X1. I think it's due to the run flat tyres that has hard sidewalls.
