EV mode in the LBX is really only for low speed driving in carparks and when coasting on the highway. If you require some acceleration, the engine kicks in quite readily

Hey man. As an entry level MPV, insulation is definitely not as great as other cars on the market. But 90-100km/h is definitely still comfortable. Quite enough to have a conversation without raising your voice for sure

@@Arthur-tf3ub no I don’t think so. All this is subjective as well isn’t it? If you’re coming from a more premium car - you might feel like the Sienta is noisy. But if you’re coming from another entry level car - it’s gonna be comparable. Bottom line is, the Sienta is comparable to other cars in its segment.

Hey man! Thanks for your question. I’m not sure where you are located - but in Singapore, I think the time is as good as any to purchase an EV. There are enough options in each segment, and charging infrastructure is really decent (and still developing). No one knows what the resale value will be like for EVs down the line, but my personal take is that I would buy a used EV because there are mechanically just less things that could go wrong. Then again my threshold for mechanical issues is high (I drive two 14 year old BMWs that require a lot of maintenance and I don’t mind). I haven’t test driven the Ionic 5 because Hyundai Singapore hasn’t granted me any test cars for some reason. So I can’t comment. But I think the ATTO 3 is a superb car for the price. Mega fan of the BYD Seal as well. I think it’s better than a Model 3.

Just hope there are enough charging stations once many people start switching to EVs this year! Haha If you were to buy a car now, would you go for a hybrid or EV? Based on practicality and economically speaking.

No it’s definitely more roomy than an A3. Perhaps more similar to an A4. But the 2nd row has an almost flat floor, which means it’s quite practical for carrying 3 in the back

@@roadpilgrim I have since seen this at the dealership. It is Hella roomy inside for a sedan due to its long wheelbase, but even in person it looks small like an A3 sedan, Kia Cerato, Honda Civic and the other cars in the compact sedan category. I checked the dimensions and it's similar to my medium size sedan. Strange. Maybe cos the back looks high and narrow. Hmm

Fair point. It reflects in the price though. Cars in the same segment that have all those things cost about $40-$50k more. So I think it’s correlated. Essentially, I don’t think BMW is shortchanging anybody.

@@ronnie5966 haha just kidding. Actually for EVs they just kinda shut off after you get out of the driver’s seat. Some models stay on for longer, but some just turn off immediately. So if I’m not in the driver’s seat, it’s not possible to keep the lights on perpetually.
