Yesss, I like when u explained when the roots lighting to much, but looks good at first and not later. I think so many women leave a salon happy with newly styled hair, and go home and are lost. We end up watching hundreds of TH-cam video to learn. Your videos help me save alot of time, money, and headaches. Thank you.

So happy to see you addressing this again. I NEVER treat my own hair, but always have full highlights done. I am not happy with how much hair was foiled last month and am now wanting to do a root smudge, balayage, or lowlights on myself. Any advice? Thank you for being such a wealth of hair color knowledge and sharing with us❣️

Thanks for the update! I wanted to share my current favorite products with you as a amateur just my own hair person - 62 years old, natural shoulder length hair, mostly white/silver with some of my strawberry blond hanging in there. I use olaplex 0,3,6,7 and function of Beauty shampoo, conditioner and mask that I ask the formula to eliminate yellowing, frizz ending, anti aging. Gotta say, best routine in my entire life. My favorite solutions: ash dyes, Fanola No Orange Shampoo, and doing a rinsage with blue black hair dye mixed in shampoo. In general I use filtered water. Tap water is full of iron that turns hair red.

Hey, Elle! Can you do a dedicated video on redheads? I’m a natural redhead, but have been experimenting over the last couple years with different tones, and I find there really isn’t a lot of info out there for natural redheads. For example, I have very cool toned skin, and although my hair is more of a strawberry blonde naturally, I find a deep burgundy shade is not only the most flattering on me, it tends to add some life to my face. Had I gone more of a copper shade, I don’t necessarily think it would have been as flattering.

It IS a great product! I just wish it smelled better! I love the Kevin Murphy blonde angel for this reason...it IS slightly less pigmented than @Fanola No Yellow though! The most comparable purple shampoo I have found if you cant get Fanola or Kevin Murphy would be either Pulp Riot Barcelona (super pigmented) or the Schwarzkopf one (rich, nice formula that doesnt feel super drying like so many do). I have been dying to try the Fanola foam formulas I have seen on Tik Tok videos, those transformations are always so impressive!

I have No Orange shampoo for my brunette hair. I love it! It's cheap, doesn't stain, only needs 1 minute and works so well. The downside is slightly dry hair, or at least some buildup. It's important to not use too much.

This is what happened to me yesterday I'm not colored my hair in over 11 years I'm starting to get some sporadic rays and The Roots
And my natural color overall is a mousy ash brown
I went yesterday to get my hands dusted and my hairdresser/friend talked me into covering my Gray's which I talked a lot about so I am not blaming her at all only found out today that she put a level 7 Na with 20 volume developer on my route and it lifted about two shades lighter than my natural hair color
My roots were Orange the worst part is when someone that is doing your hair knows what happened but they refuse to be forthright about it and pretend like it looks so great on you it makes me want to crawl out of my skin
I wanted to cry but I knew it was my own fault I should have left my darn hair alone
Today I go back for her to darken up my roots and she did darken up the root but there is still a very orange tone in my route and my hair overall
      😔

I use blondeme by Schwarzkopf instant blush spray in steel blue when my roots get brassy orange. I will leave it in for as many hours as possible. So far, that has been the best remedy I have found. Although the bottle says, you don't have to rinse it out, I don't feel right not washing it out. But I will leave it in as long as possible.

I use the fanola blue shampoo and my hair always feels like litteral tangled straw like i can't even run my fingers through 😭 they feel so brittle in that stage.. But the color is alway amazing afterwards so I keep using it

@@Kath-Erina mine feels same and to be honest I have not found anything good to take the orange out. This just makes it purple.... and I don't even leave it on long at all!!

@@Izzywizzy74 I've found the toners from the blond me series to work very good and are easy to use! They don't have any levels, just different kind of pigments. I had my hair dyed with red henna before I bleached them. They are now orange at the bottom and blond where the henna already grew out 🤦🏼‍♀️and the straight out orange is now a brassy blond, wich is not what I wanted but I can live with it much better than the orange 😅 I applied 'sand' and 'ice' at the yellow blond roots and steel blue aon the orange parts and my hair color is a t least somewhat blond and socially acceptable 😅 could be better If a salon did it but the toners worked great 😊

What was the name of the purple shampoo you recommend?💜

I have a question about platinum toners-which professional one do you recommend that is not violet or blue based? Whenever I use toners (wella) my hit turns blue or purple! And I only leave it in 5 minutes!

I can't find any videos on green shampoo for red color correction after color removal. The Dark Envy helped a lot but I'm still on the fence if I need to use 6GN EQ or darker.

Thnk uuu. I love the video. Just one question. I hate my toner I got. Its demi tone but it turned it this ugly brown orange..any way to get rid of the toner faster?🙏😞 🕯

So I don’t have Instagram, but I tried lightening up my hair and some areas lightened more than others and then I used a cool toner that made my roots too warm. How do I fix it, especially the uneven areas?
