  • The 767-foot ship Arthur M. Anderson arrived under the Aerial Lift Bridge from Lake Superior in Duluth, MN. I captured the ship's arrival and made sure to include MAXIMUM people watching as I walked up to the Lift Bridge, and while documenting the ship! Don't miss the two people sitting in lawn chairs relaxing beside the bridge in the shade or the well-dressed wedding party taking photos! Lots of people watching action with the ship!

    The J.B. Ford was scrapped recently. She was the last survivor of the 1913 storm.

      This is a very interesting comment. I’m pinning it to the top. I’ve included links about the ship and the storm! Thanks Biwabik! You are bringing us down another fun ship rabbit hole!

    What an interest hard working look to this Lady of the lake. Do not scrap this Lady, deliver her to me in Easton and I will park her on Pearl St, that way I will have a saved parking space every day. Your walking tour was awesome thanks for all you do for us Mike. Peace and good health.

      I don’t know if you agree with this, the most historic vessel sailing on the Great Lakes? Tons of history because the Fitz! That also connects the courage of the Anderson’s crew that night too. The ship and crew should be forever honored!

    Hey there Captain!! 👋 Looks like we have some people who have been "bridged". I personally would get out and walk to the pier and watch but just me. The very well dressed people look like they are part of a wedding because I thought I saw a bride. The seagulls must know that the Anderson is coming and are getting ready and maybe are looking for some land action. I totally agree that the Anderson should be saved and somehow used as a touring vessel. She is so linked with the Fitz. I did see someone out by the pilot house(maybe the captain) waving around the 5:50 mark. These awesome vessels never get old for me either. So much history and beauty. Thanks so much for a fantastic video!! Loved seeing the pivot. Hope you are having a great Saturday. Nice here in the Twin cities. About 72 degrees. Take care my friend and chat later. 🙋🚢

    I think. With the connection it has with the edmund fitzgerald when it's time to retire this ship that is a piece of history she. Should automatically be a museum ship

    • @vibewithmike
      @vibewithmike  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks friend, I always try to give a little more perspective of the city before recording the ships. Yes, it’s a Great city as long as you can deal with the cold in the winter! Lots of ships, lots of snow!😂⛴️

    Hey Mike….I keep wondering if you have finally moved from Minneapolis to Duluth? They must have a cot for you on the bridge.

    • @vibewithmike
      @vibewithmike  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, I’m up here half of the time. At some point I will move up here full-time. I’d much rather have a cot down in your neck of the woods in Florida as the winter approaches. How you doing my friend?⛴️
