Did you notice any improvements ditching the stupid resonator box for that AEM V2? I want to do this, but also my car is bone stock and I'm limited on tools and time so just thinking about getting one of those. I live in a rainy climate so full CAI is a bit of a concern and I don't wanna do anything like botching this process that makes my car run worse lol. Curious about getting the V2 for now and then doing this as a fun project
in d16v1 I'm installing the Z6 manifold, but I have less space than you, it's difficult to connect the air and water pipes to the throttle, is your engine compartment larger?
Hey, im thinking in doing an engine swap from d16 vtec(has problems allover) to d17a2 and i was thinking to do what you did aswell, questions if i may.. can i just swap the full injection? Trtle body and fuel rail all together? What about return line? I was reading somewhere d17 dont have one or sth... Any suggestions? Thanks
It's just what I have heard from another guy, that it fried his ecu. Also that the map can also short. I have no experience first hand, just passing along info. Better safe than sorry.
Du I just finished my y8 swap but the idle is surging what did I do wrong an what gaskets do I use for the throttle body an to where it mounted to the head the d16 gaskets or the d17 gaskets i need help finding the problem an Im running a d17a1
I'm pretty sure the D16V1 has an identical head to the D17, I'm sure the only real difference in the two engines is the D17 has a longer stroke, or wider bore, one of the two

Use the y8 fuel rail and fuel pump assembly and run a return line much better flow
I ran the d17 one for over 2 years with zero issues

I didnt modify them at all, I just adjusted them.
