I love that the movement of the music is replicated by the movement of the musicians. Nothing stodgy about this music! And what an appreciative audience.

Very interesting piece! Harpsichord? Check Double Bass? Check String Quintet? Check Theorbo? Check Me being at home to listen to this masterpiece? Check ❤ To further enhance the Renaissance vibe, all you’d need to add to this ensemble are some bassoon and recorder players.

Music is played with the whole body, especially singing
Great performance Brandon. You’re always welcome back in Brainerd!
Watching this performance up close and personal is the best way. Congrats, Brandon!
Love a chaconne, and you can't beat Purcell. Lovely performance!
Thus as we witness in this motion picture. Brandon thine music is indeed wounderlous.
What a wonderful piece and performance! Simultaneously sublime and, somehow, rocking!

Beautiful.
Parabéns amigo!!!!
Fantastic performance! ❤ the violins and the bass dominated - I could barely hear thy wonderful lute, though 😆
Yes, I felt that the sound engineers really didn't do Brandon any favours.
@@resourcedragonagreed
Yeah I'm a guitarist in a fiddle group and you can barely hear us.
That's also the way it is in real life.
Thsi is honey ! ❤
Needs more theorbo!
I gotta say, I need more Theorbo!
Brandon going back to playing the music of his childhood.

Does anyone have any good pieces for sight reading that I can try to learn? I’m trying to improve on that.
What doth THEORBO?
Please provide details who is the composer, what is the name of this composition, in which key, etc.
It says in the opening of the video. Chaconne from the fairy queen by Purcell:)
@@brandonacker Yes, this information should also be included in the video description above.
I can't make out the sound of the theorbo
It's the warm piano-like sound in contrast with the sharper harpsichord sound. Try 1:36 where it echos the strings.
I could not hear the lute :(
Me either ! And barely the piano and cello as well
composer?
Head banging on baroque: check
Yes, believe it or not, there is more than THAT damn chaconne.
Brandon plays in Minneapolis and then Walz is picked as VP. Coincidence? I think not.
Not to mention the fact that he played a waltz...
(... well, kind of...)
