Never have I ever seen rusty exhaust bolts come off like that lol
Thanks for posting these videos, I know it's a lot of work

All surface rust. The clamps that were on there when I got the vehicle only came loose with the cutoff wheel :-)

You make some of the best videos on TH-cam for the XJ. Link to the product would be nice.

Banks Monster #51360, purchased through Quadratec (stock #17603-6100), but as indicated in the video, there are multiple options for your consideration at Quadratec and elsewhere.

Nice. I just put a stainless Magnaflow on my 01 XJ. I can't believe how rust free your XJ is. Heat shields? Mine feel off like 15 years ago. @@aaronvienot

@@MikeOrazzi Colorado vehicle. We do have winter road treatment but not the regular thaw/freeze problem, so rock salt use is rare.

You're lucky. Next time I drive out west I should pick up a rust free XJ and tow it back behind the dually. @@aaronvienot

If you want to make sure your lug studs are water-free, hit them with some brake parts cleaner. Not sure I'd even trust WD-40 on lug studs.
Nice video. I need to do something similar on my JK. I am not looking forward to it. :)

If I had realized from the start that I was cutting at the OE O2 bung and started there, this would have been a shorter video. So, don't get too spooked by the job, just lay out everything first.

What is the part number for that banks monster muffler? Do they all come with the o2 sensor adapter?

Did you move into a house??? Workspace looks much better than that car port!

That's "site B," aka my dad's garage. My parents are about 40 minutes across the city so I can't always plan a job there, but when I do, it's definitely a better space.

@@aaronvienot Ever since I moved in the area I've been wrenching on mine at a storage unit as I just can't stomach doing this type of stuff in the parking garage at our apartment building. $180/mo isn't cheap but its worth the sanity.
