    Happy owner of this particular Edifier model! Its fun watching a head to head comparison to another set of speakers listening through them! :P

    Diff size speakers for diff markets really tho. Sure I could get the Eds on my desk next to the PC screen but then I could also a set of floor standers. I mean the AE HD3 are designed for that specific scenario primarily and listening to moderate volumes only at nearfield distances, circa (2-3ft) . Hence the volume control and headphone socket access etc. the Eds are active bookshelf speakers and will always sound better with those bigger drivers and cases. Irrespective of sound its a David and Goliath match here (not saying which is with) maybe in costs alone then !

      Also the Eds are better placed to the microphone than the HD3. He should have used the DS1 stand for the HD3 speakers. Also the HD3 have two bass settings, one for more bass, and one for more clear voice.

    Despite the harsh treble, I would choose the 1700 over the boxy and near death sounding HD3 at over twice the money....

    Need help please,
    Very confused between
    Swan M200mkiii
    Audio engine a2+
    Audio engine HD 3
    Q acoustics BT3
    They're all similarly priced in my country.
    I'm looking for clarity especially in the vocals, bass doesn't need to be too strong to rattle my bones. Any help please?

    The difference on the Man On Fire track was very noticeable in the guitars. The AudioEngine sounded muddy. Otherwise they sound really similar.

      @rdolle990 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Similar? Not at all!

      @@rdolle990 To be fair to my comment, I was previously listening to the video off my phone with a single earbud in ;-) but I did notice the guitar difference on that track. Now that I'm at home, the AudioEngine's do sound hollow on most of the tracks. I love the size of the AE's, it's what I need for my desk but those Edifier's sound much better. Any idea's for something the AE size but sounds good?

      @@pauld4238 iLoud MTM. That's the one I'm wishing to get. Compact and even better than anything at the price especially when using ARC to calibrate for the room acoustics.

      @rdolle990 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pauld4238 Get a bigger desk :) Like Vlad is mentioning, iLoud MTM or iLoud Micro perhaps. I think the AE's are highly overpriced for what they deliver.

    Hi bro! Edifier S2000MKIII vs JBL 305MKII?

    • @rdolle990
      @rdolle990 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the use. JBL has no optical, coax or Bluetooth connections. Also no tone control, DSP, remote or different EQ's. I believe this model JBL is designed to be a near field monitor which means you have to sit up front of them to receive the sound as it's meant to be. S2000MKIII can be used at further distance , has all the connectivity, DSP, remote and sound great with a lot of detail and clarity. I believe the JBL has a small hiss when no music is playing.

    After watching and reading so many reviews about R1700BT I finally bought a pair for $85 (used for 4 months). Seriously the boomy bass is really too much for my ears, have to use equalizer apps on both laptop and phone to get rid of those annoying boomy bass...

  • @drew1665
    @drew1665 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I prefer the Audio engine sound. The Edifier is ok, but the bass is a bit boomy. The masses will of course reason bigger bass = better sound.
